View 4 RepliesI could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWas reading a review at AnandTech and it says: On the left are the volume rocker button and a port for the secondary microphone for noise cancellation. You can follow that port inside to a small chamber where the microphone is. There aren't any markers on the volume rocker - then again up and down are pretty obvious. The volume rocker is also a multipurpose zoom control in the browser and camera application, which is probably part of why it's left unmarked. Here is the link if you wanna check it out. View 10 Replies View RelatedI've seen positive reviews on the dual mic noise cancellation of the nexus one. However, what I haven't seen addressed is whether than noise cancellation is bypassed when using a bluetooth headset? It would be cool if the nexus one provided the same noise cancellation when using a bluetooth headset, but I kinda doubt it. Anyone know for sure?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a question about the noise cancellation on different ROMS - basically, I tested it after I rooted and went to Rubix focused (the latest one) and the feature is gone. I have looked and looked and really don't see anything about it. The test: I used my television volume numbers, watching the same section of the same movie sitting in the same spot talking into my work voicemail reading the same script while calling out the TV volume numbers.
Before root, I could go up to 20 before hearing muffled background noise (20 on my TV is unbearably loud, I usually watch TV around 13 or 14). After the root and RubiX Focused, I can clearly understand what is being said on the movie with the volume level at 12. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm wondering if the blur dialer app is what runs the mics and whatever that RubiX dialer is doesn't know to run them.. dunno. But it is very clearly not working now. Have you seen anything anywhere? Has anyone else tested before and after root? This is the key feature to the phone for me since I am constantly on the phone with clients.
Ever since I updated to Froyo my droid emits this really annoying noise when the battery's at 15%. I've searched all the menus trying to figure out how to turn it off. Is anyone else really annoyed by it? And how do I make it shut up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI get a strange farting noise when the call is first placed and randomly during the call. When it happens neither party can hear eachother. The car is a 2006 BMW 525xi and I never had it with 4 different Eris', 2 BB's and an old Motorola flip phone.
View 4 Replies View Relatedjust wondering if this is normal or not, someone told me it is normal for the droid.for instance - when your on the home screen and you hold the camera button down, it'll make about 3-clicks when starting up. it also makes the clicking noise when it is focusing before taking the photo. the most noticable is when using an app like shopsavvy or barcode scanner are these apps supposed to be focusing back and forth non stop? and if so, is it 'normal' for that clicking noise to go non-stop while it is focusing back and forth?
My droid is not making the droid noise on the start up anymore. does anyone else have this problem and how is it fixed?

View 3 Replies View Relatedon my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst I'd like to say I don't know how I ever typed without Swype. Whoever thought of it is pure genius so I love that. However can someone tell me how to turn off the clicking noise when I press a letter? I like the vibrate to let me know that I touched it but could do without the Storm-esque click. There was one more but I forgot it at the moment.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
Just want to make sure this is normal. Does anyone else's camera make tons of noise while constantly refocusing in barcode scanning apps? I can't remember where I read it but I know I read something about all the clicking noises being a bad sign.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my droid only for a week and it just today started this annoying habit of making a notification noise twice when I get a text so it buzzes goes Droid! Buzz again and Droid! Again. So I think I got two texts when I have one. I don't have handecent or anything. I'm geting a lot of bugs ones I wasn't expecting and its testing me on if I want to keep the phone. Right now its a love and hate thing

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wondering what everyone is using for camera settings. I'm getting great pictures outdoors but my pictures taken inside have a lot of noise (don't know if that's the term I want but they look fuzzy). View 5 Replies View RelatedHas any one else noticed a beep after a minute during a call.
this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.
So when i turn the camera on, on the Droid it makes this sort of loud noise coming right from the lens it seems to only make it when it has to focus or when it turns on or even when coming back from previewing a picture. Does any one else seem to have that problem?
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my Droid, I would often hear a tea kettle going off in the background with pitch changes, like a plane flying over head. Needless to say, I wasn't going to put up with the distracting noises, especially with a brand new phone. So, Verizon replaced the device. Four months later, I'm still having the same problem. The problem isn't that bad but I should hear such noises, regardless. Verizon says they haven't heard of such an issue but will replace the device again. Has anyone else noticed these noises while on a phone call?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed Pete's BB v0.5 (ERE53) yesterday. Using the stock non-overclocked kernel, I am stunned at how much faster 2.1 is over 2.01.Anyway, I am curious about the JIT compiler and edited build.prop to enable it. I understand from reading either here or somewhere else that you don't have to push the three files (libnativehelper.so, etc.) as they already exist in BB. I did indeed find the three files. So how do I test to see if JIT is actually enabled and working? I ran Linpack a bunch of times before and after enabling. The highest I've see after enabling JIT is 4.667 mflops. It seems to consistently return 4.6xx mflops with occasional drops to 4.5xx or 4.4xx. Before enabling, it seemed to return mostly 4.5xx with an occasional 4.6xx. With such a small difference, I'm not convinced that JIT is actually enabled & working.
View 13 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Droid2 and when she uses the speaker phone function, things sound fine on her end, but for the caller on the other end, there is an unbearably loud noise of them speaking. For instance, when I call her and she has me on speaker, I can hear myself speaking super loud coming out of her phone. I can't even concentrate to get my sentence out. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? She is using a hard snap on case from Verizon as well, not sure if it could be the sound bouncing of that or something?
