For some reason iif I set a (stocK) alarm and it goes off and I'm on the phone it does this ear piercing shrieking noise all in my ear. Doesn't matter what the tone is. Is there a fix for this or is something wrong with my phone?

My samsung Captivate doesn't make noise at all. The ringer, notifications and alarm volumes are all maxed out. It also ISN'T on silent.

this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.
When I first got my Droid, I would often hear a tea kettle going off in the background with pitch changes, like a plane flying over head. Needless to say, I wasn't going to put up with the distracting noises, especially with a brand new phone. So, Verizon replaced the device. Four months later, I'm still having the same problem. The problem isn't that bad but I should hear such noises, regardless. Verizon says they haven't heard of such an issue but will replace the device again. Has anyone else noticed these noises while on a phone call?

I've tried lowering the volume but it still seems to be doing it. Not to mention, even with the audio turned all the way up it's hard to hear the people I'm talking to.

If I'm on the phone and the alarm goes off, it totally disables the phone keypad and basically takes over the screen. It went off today while I was on a call and I couldn't dismiss it in order to get the phone keypad back. Is it my phone (a motorola photon) or something else?

Same "pending intent" with the same intent and request code, in otherwords they resolve to same intent on equals.
Although I know what happens (being the latest one takes precedence), I would have expected my broadcast receiver to be called twice.
I thought something funny is happening in the PendingIntent.
However when I looked at the AlarmManagerService.java I have noticed that the "set.." methods are calling a "remove" using the PendingIntent that is passed in, essentially cancelling the one before.
I am looking for a simple app to remind me if I have a missed call with a notification sound configured to my preferences. In other works remind me ever X min with sound Y.
I have read a lot of issues with Missed Call so I haven't even tried that one. Anyone having any luck with this app?
I installed executive assistant which does the job very nicely but it also does a LOT more that I don't need/like. I just want something light weight and simple.
I tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got a samsung galaxy s4 mini with android 4.2 I noticed that if I have an alarm set for a specific time, and I happen to be on a phone call at that time, the alarm will not go off. Instead of vibrating and playing the required sounds, it will simply beep a couple times and that's it. I understand that it can't play any sounds while I'm on the phone, but is there any way to at least get it to vibrate at the time of the alarm?

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?
I am using service class to play the mp3 file using media player object on Android platform, problem is, i am not able to handle the alarm interruption.When any previous set alarm clock reach to it's alarm time it starts to play in parallel with mp3.I want that mp3 should become paused and after alarm it again start to play,same thing should happen with snooze.

As of now, if we have set two alarm of ,say, 10:10 and 10:15, now if the first alarm pops up at 10:10, and we click on snooze button(snooze time: 10 mins), then it says that the snooze will not be set since there is already an alarm in between(the 10:15th one). Here i want to both the alarm(i.e, snoozed one and 10:15th one) to be set. Any ideas???
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using AlarmDroid as my alarm clock. Every thing was fine, until I had always 2 alarms (somehow) every morning, but in AlarmDroid there was only 1 event. After that I had some weird things, like the alarm was starting too early or too late. So I uninstalled this, somehow unstable app, and installed Alarm Clock Xtreme - everything is fine with Clock Xtreme. Exception: one of the alarm that I was using in AlarmDroid is still there! But there is no more AlarmDroid on my phone. Wondering how this is working.
I install AlarmDroid again, just to be sure to delete the event, but there is no event. But there is always the alarm. With and without AlarmDroid. What can I try to solve this stuff? Maybe its not that important but Im using a Nexus S with stable cyanogenmod 10.
I use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that while charging my EVO using the stock wall charger and any micro usb cable that there is a loud whining noise. It is pretty loud and can even hear it while watching TV. I have read that the Droid Incredible charger has the same issue as well and have tried to switch the prong orientatoin and still no luck. I have used my other HTC charger that I have from my old Touch Diamond and don't hear any type of noise. I have read that it is the capacitors in the charger making the noise. I have tested and the charger still makes the noise after the green LED light has come on.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that during playback of video I take with my Motorola droid, I hear a sort of a pop every now and then. The first time I heard it, I thought it was something going on around me when taking the video, but it's not, it appears that the sound is coming from the droid, though I do not hear the pop when recording. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes you don't hear it at all, sometimes it's every 30 seconds, and a lot of times, I hear the pop right at the end of the video, but sometimes it happens right in the middle.
