View 4 RepliesI got my phone today, but I'm having an issue with the earpiece speaker rattling. It makes a high pitched buzzing sound basically. Does anyone else have this problem? If I press on the grill covering the speaker it seems to go away. I'm planning on taking it to a Sprint store to compare.
Let me know if you have any thoughts.
I was just talking to a friend on my phone and for some reason the speaker started to kind of vibrate/buzz like when frquencies match and it makes something vibrate. Is it just that; there's a certain frequency and it matches that of my speaker? Or is it a hardware(?) problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI returned my first captivate due to annoying buzzing from the ear speaker during calls. I figured the speaker was blown. On my second one the sound was much less apparent but it was still kind of there. Its been about a week now and I believe it is now just as bad as the first one I had. Are these speakers really blown or just really crappy quality?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently got a call from a friend of mine, and his voice came through crystal clear, but when I would talk, I would hear this cracking noise in the ear piece. I have pretty good reception where I am, so I don't know what's causing this problem. Anyone else experience this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt started yesterday and like the title says I can only hear calls when I put my phone on speaker phone. This happens both when I make calls and receive them. Anyone know how I can fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Droid2 and when she uses the speaker phone function, things sound fine on her end, but for the caller on the other end, there is an unbearably loud noise of them speaking. For instance, when I call her and she has me on speaker, I can hear myself speaking super loud coming out of her phone. I can't even concentrate to get my sentence out. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? She is using a hard snap on case from Verizon as well, not sure if it could be the sound bouncing of that or something?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my Incredible yesterday and when I got back home and put it down on the table after playign with it, there was a little rattle... so I investigated, tapping along the back of the phone eventually pinpointing the source... turns out the clear plastic LED covers are a little loose..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a recently purchased Incredible (about 3 weeks) and within the last week the red earpiece on the phone has developed a very severe buzzing noise. Seems whomever I speak with can hear me fine, I just can't understand them. This hasn't been frequent but it is increasing. One day I had an ear shattering high-pitch noise that pretty much stopped all calls and I had to power down the phone. Could this be hardware or software related?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my cliq brand new sometime last week. When I am on a phone call there is a faint, fast paced clicking/ticking noise that doesn't stop. Its driving me nuts. I am not sure if this is normal, or if this sound is coming from the phone itself or if its the speaker. Can someone give me some feedback please?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHas any one else noticed a beep after a minute during a call.
this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.
Ok, I'm quite confused. I've had my Samsung Captivate for about 4 days now, and today when i plugged it in mid-day to charge (om nom nom battery life) it started emitting random, extremely obnoxious high-pitched beeps about 2 times per minute. It does it whether or not it's on A/C power, it even does it when the phone's powered off but the battery's in there, I just don't understand why or how to stop it.
Phone is awesome otherwise! Anyone having this issue/ know where it's coming from?
How can I make it so my eris makes no noise when receiving a text just vibrates?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI hear a hissing noise in the background when using the handset to answer or make calls. Anyone else experience this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000B from Brazil unlocked from the store. Three days ago I decided to update my system (2.2) to the CM10.0.0 (4.1.2). After much sweat and hassle I discovered how do it properly with the right files. So, I flashed 2.3.3 and then CM10 and it seemed to work properly until I found out my IMEI had been corrupted. I tried the solution I found but it didn't work because on step #5 I don't find the file named ".nv_data", just "nv_data.bin.md5". I tried copying just the other but in the end it doesn't change my IMEI back. I still have a generic IMEI but it is not affecting the signal of my phone, I can still make and receive calls, but I would like to get it properly working. When I flash android 2.2 it restores my IMEI.
Problem 2
My other problem is that I keep getting these really loud and intermittent scratch noises during calls after flashing CM10. Right now I am using a dutch SIM for I live in the netherlands. Maybe that is important to mention. But I had been using android 2.2 here all along with no problems. After CM10 I get these sudden short bursts of noise during my calls. The other person can barely hear it but I hear it loudly.
First, whenever I make or receive a call the speaker on message appears and my phone calls all are on speaker. I can't seem to fix that, I looked in settings but can't figure out what happened and how to fix.
Secondly, for some reason when I am in a program and hit the "home" icon my Evo no longer opens the home menu and allows me to go to other programs on my home screen. I am forced to hit the back arrow on the phone which is annoying. So if I am browsing like 10 web pages I have to go back to the first page to the first page I opened of the internet , then it allows me to press the "home" icon. very inconvenient...
Please tell me what I did wrong, i don't recall hitting any buttons to change these settings.
I have just done a search but cant find anything. Does the htc hero have loud speaker when in a call. I always use loudspeaker on my last phone just wondering if u can on this wonderful phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I make a call, or sometime when someone calls me, I have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the other end. Apparently, whoever is on the other end can still hear me before I do this, but it is pretty much happening all the time now. Has anyone else experienced this? I googled and looked for some kind of setting, but I have not found a solution yet.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes the incredible have the same noise cancelling that the nexus one has?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne thing the Incredible doesn't have that the Nexus One does is the fancy noise cancellation technology. I'm a little surprised at how little this is being mentioned and I'm also puzzled at why this feature was dropped since on paper it sounds like such a good thing. Does anyone have experience with how well it worked? Did it not work out as well as planned, was it a cost saving measure to drop it, or does nobody actually talk directly into their phone anymore?
View 4 Replies View RelatedCan I just make it so that my Droid will only vibrate when I get a new e-mail, instead of vibrating AND making my text message noise?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not much of a gamer anymore, but I have really gotten into FIFA 10, the problem is everytime there is a call or text message it takes me out of the game and the game is not saved, I have start all over again. Any app or hack?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else's wall charger making a high pitched whistling noise when you have it plugged in? If I put the wall charger itself in the outlet without the usb cable inserted, it sounds fine. As soon as I plug the USB cable into it, it starts making the noise.
View 41 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a static/hissing noise on headphones with my incredible. This is particularly noticeable on the small in ear headphones/earbuds during quiet portions of music, or if you have music playing and turn the volume down to zero, and for a short time after pausing music (until the audio jack is powered down. Is anyone else having these issues? Can anyone confirm that some phones do not have this issue?
I love the phone but this is almost a dealbreaker for me as it somewhat kills the whole idea of not needing a separate music player, though it can be somewhat worked around by headphones with online volume controls, decreasing volume by about half and boosting iron the phone.
Anyone know how I can stop this happening? Its doing my head in having to swipe then the unlock pattern after every call. If its a land line I've called I have to disconnect myself.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo the phone was working fine for a few days. All calls were clear, however today when I got home and made a call the call was not clear and had a background noise that sounds like a shower or white nose. All subsequent calls I make have this background noise and I tried rebooting the phone, putting my sim card in another phone (call was clear on other phone), and tried factory resetting the nexus. The noise still persists.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem and what you would suggest I do.
We are developing hardware for Android mobile products.
We are using Samsung Galaxy mobile running on T-Mobile & AT&T cellular networks.
We notice during telephone calls, either dialing outgoing or incoming calls, the display turn off almost immediately when the telephone calls started.
Is there anyway to keep the display turn on all during the entire telephone calls?
I understand you can make all the hard buttons to wake up your phone by modify rhis register, HKCUControl PanelKeybd and create REG_DWORD "DefaultKeyLock" Value "0"
step by step instruction on how to modify this register inside Android?
