View 1 Repliesjust wondering if this is normal or not, someone told me it is normal for the droid.for instance - when your on the home screen and you hold the camera button down, it'll make about 3-clicks when starting up. it also makes the clicking noise when it is focusing before taking the photo. the most noticable is when using an app like shopsavvy or barcode scanner are these apps supposed to be focusing back and forth non stop? and if so, is it 'normal' for that clicking noise to go non-stop while it is focusing back and forth?
is it normal for the camera to make a clicking noise. for example when im on my home screen and i hold the camera button to open it the camera makes a couple of clicking sounds am i the only one with this problem or is this all droids.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am noticing a clicking noise whilst my camera is focusing on an object. It actually sounds like it's coming from the lens. It seems to have started since I did the software update but I did also drop the phone last night. The camera is working fine and I am not really that worried, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it was anything to start worrying about?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've started noticing a weird clicking noise after using the camera. After I take a picture and press the 'Home' button to exit the application, it makes the noise, which sounds like there's something loose or something. I'm just wondering if anyone's had this problem, and if it's actually anything to worry about. Also, the slider part of the phone is loose at the bottom, so when I push the buttons I'm actually pushing the screen down onto the keyboard, which is annoying. Is there any way to fix it? Also, I'm thinking that may be the reason for the clicking noise.
View 2 Replies View Relatedon my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst I'd like to say I don't know how I ever typed without Swype. Whoever thought of it is pure genius so I love that. However can someone tell me how to turn off the clicking noise when I press a letter? I like the vibrate to let me know that I touched it but could do without the Storm-esque click. There was one more but I forgot it at the moment.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
Just want to make sure this is normal. Does anyone else's camera make tons of noise while constantly refocusing in barcode scanning apps? I can't remember where I read it but I know I read something about all the clicking noises being a bad sign.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust wondering what everyone is using for camera settings. I'm getting great pictures outdoors but my pictures taken inside have a lot of noise (don't know if that's the term I want but they look fuzzy). I literally know nothing about cameras so I'm pretty hopeless figuring out this problem. And maybe some other camera noobs can get some good ideas from this thread too
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo when i turn the camera on, on the Droid it makes this sort of loud noise coming right from the lens it seems to only make it when it has to focus or when it turns on or even when coming back from previewing a picture. Does any one else seem to have that problem?

Whenever i hold it in a vertical position, you can here it click. You can actually see the batt cover move just a little bit. Is anyone else having this issue. I know that it is a small thing to complain abt, but that clicking is annoying.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I am curious what the deal is with the, what appears to be a front facing camera on this phone? I just got it today because my Blackberry Storm decided it didnt want to live any longer.
If any of you have any info on what exactly that is if it isnt a camera, or if it is indeed a camera, how do you switch it to front face mode?
My Xperia arc (LT15i) runs CM 10. Whenever I switch camera mode to panorama the camera screen goes black although the capture button and switch camera tab are still there.

I am thinking about switching to the evo from my epic I really like the epic but not liking the slider and earpiece on it. My question is I really like the little click noise it makes when you clicking on things when typing and in the menu does the Evo have this feature and I know it doesn't have swype is there anything comparable for the Evo seeing it doesnt have it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having this problem?I'm not talking about portrait vs landscape for the home screen. When I'm using the web browser on Droid, it seems stuck in landscape mode and try as I may to move the phone around, I cannot get it to switch to portrait mode when using the web browser. With some other apps, such as email, it seems to switch between landscape and portrait when I rotate the Droid. And with yet some others, like Calendar, it seems to switch sometimes and other times NOT respond. But the browser is the one I'm finding most annoying.why won't it switch from landscape to portrait?Anyone else experiencing this glitch? Any solutions?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to disable this sound? When you are focusing it, it makes the little ding! sound, even when it is in vibrate mode. I was playing around with the camera at work this morning and found this out. kinda scared me cause i thought that since i have it in vibrate mode, it shouldn't make any sounds, right?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI see similar threads says this is normal for the Moto Droid. Anyone have this with their Dinc? Is it okay? It never did that until I had to remove my cover a handful of times during one day. It does it when it first turns on, if I change between taking a photo and viewing photos, etc. I want to be sure I didn't break it or something.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just recently noticed than when I use my desire there is a click/tick from the camera lens area. It happens about 5 seconds after I turn the camera on and when I move the camera around the room.
Does anyone know what this could be.
I could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?
