View 3 RepliesI got my 3rd Eris since June today & when I'm typing a text it vibrates/makes noise & I can't figure out how to freaking turn that off. I turned off Audible Touch Tones, Hepatic Feedback & Audible Selection..... It only makes this noise when I'm typing (ie. texts, emails & dialing).
View 1 Replies View Relatedso its this really obnoxious noise that happens when i type and do anything that makes the phone vibrate. i Have insurance so ill probably end up trading it for a new one. is anyone else experiencing this. i can provide more details if needed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy sprint HTC hero for some reason will all the sudden stop allowing me to get text messages and mine that I send don't seem to reach the phone I am sending it to. It will stop working out of the blue and start back up. The only reason I know that it stops is because the person I am texting shows me that they never received a message from me and I never got one from them. My phone does not tell me I cant receive or send it just stops and I never know. When it starts working again it does not ever send the messages I didn't receive.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wasn't sure where to put this but does anyone know how to stop my phone making double alerts when I get a text? Because when I get a new text, Hand cent will post an icon in the notification panel and there will always be another notification icon next to it, I think it is the stock app doing that. Now I have set Hand cent as my default messaging app and I am running the 2.1 v3 leak.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust installed Handcent and so far Im loving it. Way better texting app then what comes stock from HTC. However I do have a question. How do I stop the HTC app from popping up with text message notifications? Right now I get both the HTC and the Handcent notification at the same time when a text comes through.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you set something, let's say messages, to vibrate, it vibrates even when the phone isn't in vibrate mode. In other words, in normal mode - you'll get an audible alert and vibrate. If you turn off vibrate for messaging, then switch the phone profile to vibrate, the phone doesn't vibrate for messages. So it seems like it's all or none - vibrate always on, or always off. Is this what others have found? I tried installing Quick Profiles and creating profiles but the behavior is the same. Is there an app that has more granular control and can actually control vibrate?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhile I'm talking to someone, if I receive a text/alarm goes off/or any other notification that vibrates, the phone still vibrates even though I'm in the middle of a call. It is very annoying to have the phone vibrate while it's against my face, and the person I'm talking to can hear it as well. It just started doing this a few weeks ago, and nothing seems to fix it. I am running 2.1v1

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Moto Droid and just recently it stopped receiving e-mails (I assume phone calls and texts, as well though I never tested). I have 2 Comcast POP3 emails setup on my phone to sync every 30 minutes. Randomly, the phone will stop receiving e-mails--I can't manually sync and end up having to turn the phone off and on (not pulling the battery) to receive e-mails again. This happened with my old BB too. Does anyone know of a reason why my phone stops functioning properly?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've come across an interesting issue and thought I'd run it by the forum. I did a search before posting and didn't see anything about this. I'm going through my phone trying to free up some space. I use Uninstaller Pro to delete apps. Today I noticed that Google Maps is listed four times in Uninstaller Pro. Each one has the same version number and the same download date. I don't want to uninstall the program completely, but if it has somehow installed itself three extra times, I'd like to remove the copies. Root Explorer only lists the .apk one time Has anyone else had this problem or know of a reason why there would be four copies of Google Maps listed?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas any one else noticed a beep after a minute during a call.
this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.
I have had my eris for a week now and noticed that it has developed a clicking noise on the right side of the battery cover. Whenever i hold it in a vertical position, you can here it click. You can actually see the batt cover move just a little bit. Is anyone else having this issue. I know that it is a small thing to complain abt, but that clicking is annoying.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhenever I turn on my phone, it will resend a text that I sent to someone from a conversation previous to when I turned it off. It used to send just blank texts to the first one or two or three people in my messages, but now it sends full texts that I sent from before by itself. I deleted all my undelivered texts. Plus I got task killer and I shut down my messages before I turn my phone off but it still does it. How do I stop this!
View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since the 2.1 update i have problems receiving text messages. I get about every other one. I went to the verizon store and all they said was to just take out battery, ive done that a couple times and its gotten worse. Does anyone know a way to fix it. Is it a setting or is my phone just messed up?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy application process incoming/outgoing calls and shows some UI. So I use PhoneState Listener to listen changes such as CALL_STATE_IDLE , CALL_STATE_RINGING ,CALL_ STATE_ OFFHOOK. on receiving call to my BroacastReceiver for incoming/outgoing call. Most of the time things work properly. But sometimes my application does not receive events of Phone State Listener and hence it is not able to change/clear UI.From user feedback this typically occurs on HTC Hero. But I have came across this issue sometime on other devices also.My first guess is that android is killing my application in midway during call due to memory requirement. If so, is there any way to ensure that android does not my kill application under such situation .

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I send an e-mail from my Droid using my GMail account with the default GMail app, it sends me a copy of the e-mail. It does not do this with my other e-mail app. This is terribly annoying. I don't want a new e-mail of the e-mail I just sent in my inbox every time I send an e-mail. Is it possible to turn this off? I looked for a "reciept" option in the settings, but found nothing. The other e-mail app does not do this for my non-gmail accounts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince 2.2 upgrade if I do not open or delete any email in my in box I keep receiving new notifications on every refresh. Prior to upgrade one an email was downloaded from the pop3 server there would be no subsequent notifications. What can I do.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen receiving a call, there is a recorded voice that says "Call from xxxxx". How do you turn that off. It seems that it started with 2.2, but I'm not sure.

Buzz again and Droid! Again. So I think I got two texts when I have one. I don't have handecent or anything. I'm geting a lot of bugs ones I wasn't expecting and its testing me on if I want to keep the phone. Right now its a love and hate thing

View 17 Replies View RelatedWhenever I start to use my GPS (not just switching it on but actually use it) for instance using Google maps and navigation, it seems to kill my 3G connection. I can still see the icon for connection however but it stalls completely. I have to switch GPS off, then force wi-fi on, then switch wi-fi off again to establish 3G connection again. This means that I can't use my GPS at all whenever I'm off wi-fi and want to use 3G. This is absolutely not OK. I've just started with this Android business, choosing this over iPhone. Please help me not to regret my choice.

I have pretty good reception where I am, so I don't know what's causing this problem. Anyone else experience this?
