I miss my Blackberry choices for notification, in particular, phone only. A quick one press button for ring, vibrate, ring phone only, silent. I use profile and find it a little too in depth. I want something simple. I also think there may be a gremlin or two as I have found my settings changed without my doing anything.

normal, the sound gradualy increases from small

There's a small problem: i was using phone's alarm to manage my appointments and even in silent mode, my phone ring. i'd like to reproduce the same function for 3th part apps, but i don't succeed in found a way to do it

Can this phone vibrate and ring at the same time? unlike palm where its only one or the other.

I do get vibrate, but no sound. Rings don't work with standard system ringtones, my music, ringdroid ringtones. All I get is vibrate.On the other hand, notification tones are working perfectly fine (from anywhere).

2) I haven't worked out how to quickly lock the screen. So, for instance, if I want to chuck the phone in my pocket -- at the moment I'm waiting for the screen to time out, which is bonkers.
The Eris has been a good phone for me except the mentioned issues. The fix the worked for me was to remove the appollo software task manager. It kept closing something I xouldnt see and caused me issue. I went from 5 resets a day to 5 days and no reset. I now use task manager 1.11.9 with 0 issues.

I obviously just got my Droid. I'm a long time blackberry user, so I'm used to it's lay out. So my deal is, I want to be able to have my phone do everything and vibrate when it's in "vibrate mode" but when I have it set to ringer of any sort, I don't want it to vibrate at all, even during my texts. What can I change to let this work? Right now, I have selected "vibrate also for notifications of SMS." where it'll ring and vibrate. I just want it to ring during "ring mode" and vibrate only during "vibrate mode"

I usually can fix problems by myself, because I am skilled in Android, but this one I have to turn to my friends in the Android community and ask for some assistance. When the screen darkens and phone enters sleep after, in my case 1 minute of non-use, any calls coming in do not ring through. Voicemail picks them up but there is no indication that I have an incoming call unless I wake the phone up and check the upper left hand menu for the voicemail icon. This can't be set up right. When the phone is asleep (dark screen) but not powered off, there has got to be a setting that lets calls ring through and awaken the phone so it can be answered.

At roughly 9:00, the phone will then change itself to Silent mode without me doing anything.The only thing I can think of is that I used to use the app "Settings Profiles" to do changes for me automatically. I wasnt crazy about it though so Ive uninstalled it. The program no longer shows up for me so I dont think thats the problem.
