HTC Incredible :: Quick One Press Button For Ring Vibrate Ring Phone Only Silent
Jun 15, 2010I miss my Blackberry choices for notification, in particular, phone only. A quick one press button for ring, vibrate, ring phone only, silent. I use profile and find it a little too in depth. I want something simple. I also think there may be a gremlin or two as I have found my settings changed without my doing anything.

Sometimes I need to have alerts silent, and be able to tell that there is a phone call, other times I need to have both message alerts and phone calls be audible. I'm looking for a way to quickly do this.

Jun 4, 2010I'm loving my EVO so far and am already starting to adjust to the touchscreen after many years of physical-keyboard Blackberries.Things are looking good.I have one question though.One feature I absolutely lived by on my BB was to hold down "Q" to toggle between silent and vibe all.Those were the only two profiles I ever used.I'm sure there is a very simple answer to my question, but I can't seem to find it on my own yet. I currently have my phone set to vibrate (menu>settings>sound & display>sound profiles), but emails, texts, and gchats aren't vibrating when they arrive.I bought Quick Profiles and put the widget on my home screen. I made silent and vibrate profiles, but I don't see where I can customize what vibrates and what doesn't other than the phone ringer.Anyway, with the phone profile on vibrate and the Quick Profile profile on vibrate, I'm still not vibrating.

Mar 21, 2012I made an account just for this as I can't figure out how to get around having only "Vibrate always, never or only in silent or not in silent" when I go to sleep, there is no easy way to turn the vibration off. It used to be with phones you could use the volume rocker to bringer down to vibrate... then one level down to completely silent except for alarms.
On this phone, if I want the phone on full silent without vibration, I cant easily switch to vibration with no sounds. It's either vibrate in silent, or vibrate with a ringer, no alternative.
General :: How To Tailor Number Of Pulses / Vibration When On Silent
May 31, 2012I keep my phone on silent at all times, so rely on vibration only for calls, notifications, etc. Is there a way to tailor the number of pulses for different kinds of notifications? Currently, I get a BUZZ-BUZZ (2 pulse) for everything. new voicemails, new texts, calendar alerts, etc. I'd like to adjust that to 2 pulses for texts, 1 for voicemails, etc.
Do you know of any apps that allow adjustments to vibe notifications (ie, count, frequency)? I'm on a stock D4 running 2.3.6, but happy to root if necessary.

Jan 18, 2010Before eris, i had a bb 8330 curve. now, i love my eris, but i hate the vibrate/silent thing. i'd like to be able to set things up the way i had them on my curve with the profiles...sms/mms buzz once, phone calls buzz 3 times, or some things silent others buzz, etc. and no, i dont capitalize. deal with it, grammar-nazis, i iz lernt gud.

Jun 26, 2010The Eris has been a good phone for me except the mentioned issues. The fix the worked for me was to remove the appollo software task manager. It kept closing something I xouldnt see and caused me issue. I went from 5 resets a day to 5 days and no reset. I now use task manager 1.11.9 with 0 issues.

Aug 27, 2010One of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

Problem is, I can't figure out how to make a WiFi widget work through tasker. I get the icon, and set it to be WiFi toggle, but it doesn't actually do anything.

Aug 26, 2010I'm looking for calendar widget (or app with widget) that will allow me to easily toggle between several different google calendars.
I like the stock HTC calendar widget & app on my Desire, and just having the full calendar widget (with a little coloured triangle on any day with something on) seen here. But I have several different Google calendars (work, partner's work schedule, non-work events, holidays/birthdays, etc) so if I leave them all shown I look too busy every day.
I'd like a calendar widget that lets me toggle the displayed calendars on and off with, say, 2 taps instead of going all through the tree (menu, more, calendars, tickybox, back, back).
Failing that, I'd like another calendar widget that displays in the same month-grid style and can hold the setting to display only my work calendar (while leaving the other widget on the other home screen displaying all google calendars).
I've looked a bit but only see things that don't sync with Google, or only display a week-view, etc. Any ideas?

I've searched for 'Beautiful widgets', but find nothing.
Do I need an external application called 'weather widget donate' or something, or am I supposed to use the native 'News and weather' application on my Nexus One? In that case, how do I find/get it?
HTC EVO 4G :: Toggle Widget For Turning On / Off 4G?
Jun 7, 2010One of the first things I did when I got my Evo was turn off HTC Sense - can't stand its gaudy widgets and general bloat. However, one thing I am missing is HTC's little toggle widgets - particularly the one that lets you turn on/off 4G. The native Android toggle widget doesn't let you control 4G. Does anyone know any 3rd-party / alternative widgets to toggle 4G? Given that it's the first 4G phone, they probably don't exist but it would be cool if someone with know, how could develop one!
