Motorola Droid :: Unable Vibrate And Ring Sametime
Nov 10, 2009I obviously just got my Droid. I'm a long time blackberry user, so I'm used to it's lay out. So my deal is, I want to be able to have my phone do everything and vibrate when it's in "vibrate mode" but when I have it set to ringer of any sort, I don't want it to vibrate at all, even during my texts. What can I change to let this work? Right now, I have selected "vibrate also for notifications of SMS." where it'll ring and vibrate. I just want it to ring during "ring mode" and vibrate only during "vibrate mode"

May 20, 2010I have a question. The phone is set to vibrate when receiving SMS messages in the Messaging options. I only receive the audio notification and no vibration. I have also tried it with the program SMSPopup and its the same thing. I downloaded another one, SMSMorse, and it vibrates with this one, vibrating in mores code the message or the sender's name. The problem is that the mores code is long and it wastes the battery. I have sent a complaint to SE and they told me to take out the battery so it resets but no lock. The next thing they told me is to do a factory reset but I don't want to lose all of my settings and everything.

Nov 13, 2010After the update, the shutter sound is not silent when in silent/vibrate mode. Sony always had this one in a bag. Why does it fail now? Please fix this Also, I am not sure if this is bug, but to activate camera with camera button, now you need to long press the button, whereas before you just had to tap. [Is it a bug or a fix?] But, the previous mentioned is a bug. Shutter should not make a sound when the phone is on silent mode or vibrate mode.

The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?

Jul 29, 2010So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

Dec 2, 2010I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?
