I was looking for a ringtone trimmer app..I though I had one before and I searched the market and found nothing. I have a song that I want to trim down and use a certain section as a ringtone.

I like the standard ring tones, but when I get a call its like a freaking ring tone on steroids, it has no pause in between, its like a constant ring and annoys me and everyone around me.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using my new HTC Desire and I have encountered a rather frustrating issue. I have tried searching everywhere but can't find anything that can help me yet. I have found that whenever the phone is charging, the phone is completely mute and will not ring. Likewise, any sms's will go unnoticed as no ring tones/ alerts sound. The phone still operates like normal while charging and will retrieve calls, it's just the phone stays completely silent

After played with it for a couple hours, I still can't figure out how to set customized ring tones. All I see in settings is the preloaded ring tones. My question is : How do I load my own ring tones and use them? Do i just create a ring tone folder and what should i do from there? Or there are other ways.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have the desire for about 3 months now and i m loving it. however, what irritates me is that every time when a sms is received, the phone only vibrates once, while the ring tone still goes on. i have tried the smart vibrate app. although it can set the length of the vibrate but it will still vibrate even if i have read the sms. any one can recommend any better apps? also it seems to take a long time to power off my phone. is it due to running apps? but i have killed the apps b4 i shut down....

I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. In meetings, it is a nuisance if the ringing blares away while I make my way out of the room to take the call.

View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I make a call there is a short, odd ring-tone that occurs just after I press Dial and before the normal ringing sound begins to indicate the call is going through.
It's about 1/2 second long, can be quite loud sometimes, and is kind of high-pitched....sorry, it's hard to describe. The tone modulates up and down quite fast - da-dum-da-dum-dum (if you can imagine).
I tried re-programming the phone, and also updating roaming, and it's still there every time I make a call. I haven't made any changes to call settings to speak of...never had this on my D1.
I miss my Blackberry choices for notification, in particular, phone only. A quick one press button for ring, vibrate, ring phone only, silent. I use profile and find it a little too in depth. I want something simple. I also think there may be a gremlin or two as I have found my settings changed without my doing anything.

Any ideas how to get to that option? I assumed it was standard. (Yes, I know I could download Ringdroid but if the built-in app works, all the better.)

I keep creating them from mp3's using the stock ringtone trimmer (which is an AWESOME feature BTW) and every time I reboot the phone, they get lost and go back to the standard ringtone. I've searched here and other places a few times and haven't found any answers.

The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. I've searched in the forums and I havnt found a solution to it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy desire will not always ring the sms ring notifier when i recieve texts, it annoyed me so much that i decided to do a warranty swap, and the new one does the same thing!is this a standard android thing? it seems to me that if i have recieved or sent a text to somebody within 30 minutes, it will not ring, as though it expects me to be hovering over my phone staring at it for a reply, is this a normal issue? and is there a way to fix it?

Is there is a way or program that can let the phone ring when my girlfriend calls but keep it on silent for everyone else.
I just moved from a Blackberry and I was able to do it on those phones I see you can have different ring tones per contact. However I sleep during the day (work nights) and i put my phone on silent but on my blackberry i could have a profile set for only my girlfriend and my phone would ring no matter if i had it on silent or not.
Is this possible on a droid?
Id really hate to have my phone going off all day long just so i would be able to hear my girlfriend call.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone will sometimes not ring at all when I receive an incoming call. It will be waiting for me to pickup, but nothing will be coming out of the speakers. Also, sometimes when someone calls it rings and rings on their end and go to my voice mail, but my phone will not even register that they called. Oh, and it randomly revolted once or twice just sitting there. I am probably going to exchange my phone, but I wanted to see if that is the best course of action.
