I was just talking to a friend on my phone and for some reason the speaker started to kind of vibrate/buzz like when frquencies match and it makes something vibrate. Is it just that; there's a certain frequency and it matches that of my speaker? Or is it a hardware(?) problem?

I returned my first captivate due to annoying buzzing from the ear speaker during calls. I figured the speaker was blown. On my second one the sound was much less apparent but it was still kind of there. Its been about a week now and I believe it is now just as bad as the first one I had. Are these speakers really blown or just really crappy quality?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my phone today, but I'm having an issue with the earpiece speaker rattling. It makes a high pitched buzzing sound basically. Does anyone else have this problem? If I press on the grill covering the speaker it seems to go away. I'm planning on taking it to a Sprint store to compare.
Let me know if you have any thoughts.
First, whenever I make or receive a call the speaker on message appears and my phone calls all are on speaker. I can't seem to fix that, I looked in settings but can't figure out what happened and how to fix.
Secondly, for some reason when I am in a program and hit the "home" icon my Evo no longer opens the home menu and allows me to go to other programs on my home screen. I am forced to hit the back arrow on the phone which is annoying. So if I am browsing like 10 web pages I have to go back to the first page to the first page I opened of the internet , then it allows me to press the "home" icon. very inconvenient...
Please tell me what I did wrong, i don't recall hitting any buttons to change these settings.
It started yesterday and like the title says I can only hear calls when I put my phone on speaker phone. This happens both when I make calls and receive them. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Anything over two notches from muted gives me a wierd vibrating noise when the other end is talking semi high pitched and consistently. It sounds almost robotic or like paper. I didnt know if this was just my phone, the majority, or all epics suffer from this problem.

No HTC care or something is present in my city. I am able to use my phone with headphone mic. Now I want to fix the problem headphone mic to my phone but only problem is I need the sounds to come out of the phone speaker/sbox.

My phone need to do this:
Headphone mic for voice input.
BUT outputs call sound through phone speaker or sound box.
I only need it during phone calls but all time is okay too.

It has a room choice of cyanogenmod 6 and 7.2 official, cm9,10 custom ported.
Whenever i'm in call and someone else calls my number, phone automatically goes in speaker mode suddenly! once the waiting call drops, it becomes normal. I've call waiting activated on my number. tried with all sort of settings within the phone but dont work.

Seems whomever I speak with can hear me fine, I just can't understand them. This hasn't been frequent but it is increasing. One day I had an ear shattering high-pitch noise that pretty much stopped all calls and I had to power down the phone. Could this be hardware or software related?

Apparently, whoever is on the other end can still hear me before I do this, but it is pretty much happening all the time now. Has anyone else experienced this? At first I had hoped it was a reception issue, but since the headset provided works with perfect clarity during a call, I am sure it must be a hardware issue. This issue started 2 months after I bought the phone.I contacted the nearest Bell store (Canadian mobile provider), and described the problem. I was told that 3 other similar cases with the HTC Legend had been received that the representative had heard of.Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If you sent it away to be fixed, was the problem corrected with no further difficulties?I'm hesitant to pay for the shipping and repair costs if this is a persistent problem or hardware malfunction that is prone to happen time after time.

If I am receiving a call, the phone will sound the ring, but when I answer it the speaker and mic go dead. If I hit the volume button while the phone is ringing, the speaker also goes dead. When I try to play music, no sound is produced (although if I plug in headphones I find that it is playing). The problem persists after multiple reboots and the Samsung "song" does play during boot. I'm not sure exactly when this started as it was working fine yesterday.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't know how many others are having this problem, but I hit the mute and/or speaker button frequently while on a call. Is there any way to remove these buttons from the dial screen? The proximity sensor "works" but not in the sense that it works on the iphone. The screen takes several seconds to dim and then can pop on at any time during the call allowing these buttons to pressed with my cheek. Many many times, the speaker has been activated in an environment where it should not be. Are there any apps to prevent this, or do I have a bad proximity sensor? Does the fact that I hold the phone on the left side of my face effect this at all? (most people hold on the right) The last time I tried other advice of pressing home button, the phone has opened a self service apps and was about to start programming itself by the time I got off the phone.
