HTC Incredible :: No Noise When I Get An Email - Make It?
Sep 1, 2010Can I just make it so that my Droid will only vibrate when I get a new e-mail, instead of vibrating AND making my text message noise?

Can I just make it so that my Droid will only vibrate when I get a new e-mail, instead of vibrating AND making my text message noise?
is it normal for the camera to make a clicking noise. for example when im on my home screen and i hold the camera button to open it the camera makes a couple of clicking sounds am i the only one with this problem or is this all droids.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is going to sound odd, but I am trying to make a shortcut on my homescreen to email myself. This seems simple, but it looks like whenever I put a contact in my address book with ANY of my email addresses, it isn't available to be used for a shortcut. Try this and tell me that I'm not going crazy. ...but please TRY it before you post the instructions. I say this because I got my boss to try it and he thought I was being a smartass until he tried to do it. A shortcut to email to myself is really helpful for tracking things and is like a to do list for me.

if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
Just want to make sure this is normal. Does anyone else's camera make tons of noise while constantly refocusing in barcode scanning apps? I can't remember where I read it but I know I read something about all the clicking noises being a bad sign.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhere do I put ringtones on the SD card to make notification noise?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded Tasker and created a profile that's supposed to silence my phone when it's plugged in at night, and it almost works. Tasker says the profile is active and I can see the "silent" icon in the notification bar, but texts and emails still make noise. As far as I can tell, Silent Mode is also supposed to silence notifications, but it's not working for me. I'm using Handcent SMS and Gmail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow can I use the phone and pull up email at the same time? When I tried to maintain a phone call and review and email, I got an error message. I don't recall the exact message but it was something about having to use wi-fi....maybe. Is it possible to use the Internet and phone at the same time?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes the incredible have the same noise cancelling that the nexus one has?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne thing the Incredible doesn't have that the Nexus One does is the fancy noise cancellation technology. I'm a little surprised at how little this is being mentioned and I'm also puzzled at why this feature was dropped since on paper it sounds like such a good thing. Does anyone have experience with how well it worked? Did it not work out as well as planned, was it a cost saving measure to drop it, or does nobody actually talk directly into their phone anymore?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else's wall charger making a high pitched whistling noise when you have it plugged in? If I put the wall charger itself in the outlet without the usb cable inserted, it sounds fine. As soon as I plug the USB cable into it, it starts making the noise.
View 41 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a static/hissing noise on headphones with my incredible. This is particularly noticeable on the small in ear headphones/earbuds during quiet portions of music, or if you have music playing and turn the volume down to zero, and for a short time after pausing music (until the audio jack is powered down. Is anyone else having these issues? Can anyone confirm that some phones do not have this issue?
I love the phone but this is almost a dealbreaker for me as it somewhat kills the whole idea of not needing a separate music player, though it can be somewhat worked around by headphones with online volume controls, decreasing volume by about half and boosting iron the phone.
I recently got a call from a friend of mine, and his voice came through crystal clear, but when I would talk, I would hear this cracking noise in the ear piece. I have pretty good reception where I am, so I don't know what's causing this problem. Anyone else experience this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo i wanted to see if anyone else has the same issue as me. I have my settings so that my keyboard only vibrates (no sound!) for sending texts BUT it makes a clicking noise sometimes when I press the keys. This is really annoying and no. Hard reset does not help. Has anyone else experienced this. my phone is the HTC Incredible.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI got my Incredible on 4/29, and have loved every minute with it. My only complaint is that when I am actually on the phone, the callers on the other end hear a lot of background noise. The microphone seems to pick up everything. I cannot even talk on the phone if I am in an environment that has any ambient noise because callers are bombarded with the ambient noise. On this note, I was just wondering if there was any way to change the microphone sensitivity and back it off a little bit so that it is usable in environments that contain some ambient noise.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOf course we all know we need to add a primary email into the Android to set it up.
But I noticed when I get a email it gets set to my Gmail app (preinstalled can't remove it) AND my email app so I get 2 notification for 1 email. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
I would like my Android application to react to an incoming email from specific address.I've heard that you can do it with incoming SMS, but emails are cheaper. Unfortunately, I am not an expert on Android's "intents",

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am making the jump from a Palm Treo to the Incredible. Came very very close to getting the Droid and then a friend told me to hold out for the Incredible. From everything that I am reading I am really glad that I have waited. Anyway, I use AOL and gmail. How is it expected these email accounts will work with the Incredible? Will I get instant notification of a new email, will I have to set it up to check each account for a time frame I specify or will I manually have to open the email and check it? I know that this may be a basic question, however on my Palm I have to manually go into my email and download messages.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust a heads up that your Cox POP email might not work properly on the incredible.I just set up my cox POP email on the incredible's email client and I can only read incoming mail from the POP email server but can not send email via the SMTP outgoing server. The same issue occurs if you use other android email clients that you download.I spoke with Cox, Verizon and eventually HTC tech support about the issue and after several hours of research (the last 1.5 hrs done by HTC) it was discovered that the incredible is unable to connect to the Cox outgoing smtp server for the west coast (smtp.west.cox.net). The HTC support team was able to use different mobile devices on the Verizon network to connect to the cox outgoing server (which means the server is just fine), but they were unable to get any incredible to connect to the cox outgoing server. (They tried a couple of incredible phones).
HTC support was fantastic. It took a very long time to get a support person on the phone but when I eventually spoke with someone they drilled deep into the problem and drug in many others on their team.HTC informed me that they are going to elevate this issue to the next level of support (which could take up to 14 days). Hopefully they can resolve this or I'll have to ditch the phone and head back to my old phone.if you use smtp.west.cox.net as your outgoing server keep an eye on this thread
