so its this really obnoxious noise that happens when i type and do anything that makes the phone vibrate. i Have insurance so ill probably end up trading it for a new one. is anyone else experiencing this. i can provide more details if needed.

I turned off Audible Touch Tones, Hepatic Feedback & Audible Selection..... It only makes this noise when I'm typing (ie. texts, emails & dialing).

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt came with Android 4.2.2 , has an Cortex-A9 processor and Mali400 graphics card, 1920x1080 9" display and is generally really nice device.
I didnt expect the sound quality to be any good since it is just a handheld device but the quality is really awful and pretty much unlistenable. It makes weird noise while playing through the main speakers and when earphones pluggen in and listening to a song, the singer sound like he is singing underwater or I dont know.
I've only been using my Nexus One for about 24 hours and it has suddenly started rattling when i place it down on a surface or shake it a little. It also occurs when the phone vibrates. As you can imagine this is pretty annoying, especially as you'd expect something that costs over $500 to be very well built.I've worked out it's coming from the top end of the device near the camera but I can't find exactly what it is that's causing the problem Has anyone else come across this or did I just get unlucky? I've been very careful handling the phone.. haven't abused it at all.

I went to Settings>Ringtone> and everytime I changed my ringtone, it WOULD NOT sample the tone even when the media and ringtone volume was FULL!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was halfway through the 2.1 update & it came up with an error saying that the update had failed. I now can't turn on my phone. At first I thought it might be a flat battery issue (even though my battery was at 100% before starting the update). After having the mains charger plugged in for over an hour, there was no activity on the LED. When I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing.
When I plug the phone into the PC USB lead, the green light comes on for about 10 seconds, then goes off for a couple of seconds. Again, if I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing else. While I have the phone plugged in via USB, the PC Companion tries to recognize the phone, it does but then says it's not connected as if it's cycling the power just long enough to connect then disconnect. I've also tried all of the above without the SIM card and SD Card in.
Is the Evo supposed to vibrate a bit when placing a call?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you set something, let's say messages, to vibrate, it vibrates even when the phone isn't in vibrate mode. In other words, in normal mode - you'll get an audible alert and vibrate. If you turn off vibrate for messaging, then switch the phone profile to vibrate, the phone doesn't vibrate for messages. So it seems like it's all or none - vibrate always on, or always off. Is this what others have found? I tried installing Quick Profiles and creating profiles but the behavior is the same. Is there an app that has more granular control and can actually control vibrate?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the past two days my alarm goes off, the phone vibrates, but there's no sound it's only the noise of the vibrate that wakes me up.This is a recent thing, I've checked the volume is up, I don't have a taskiller installed, I've set and reset the alarm sound to go off, but even when I go into settings to change the sound, if I select a new sound it doesn't ring out. However, if I go to change my ringtone, that does make a sound. I've turned the phone on and off, I've deleted and set new alarms to no avail.I just don't get it... can anyone help? Software version is 1.0.0.A6288, firmware 1.5 if that helps. Installed new OS about a month ago.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.

View 14 Replies View RelatedThe title says it all. I force updated my Droid 1 to 2.2 and the phone does not vibrate for notifications or calls. I have vibrate set to always and the ringer is turned on. If I use the volume rocker to change the settings to silent it will give the vibrate notification to indicate that it is in silent. I have done a factory reset on the phone but the issue remains. I have tried all of the different vibrate settings but still nothing. Any ideas?

Following an sms w/ an attachment I received, the phone has been acting very strange and I need your help.Ok, I'll try to make this as clear as possible. So, because I'm on pay as you go, I have two apn options, one of which is fake, so that i can change from/to the proper apn settings whenever I want and the phone doesn't automatically connect for any reason if I don't want it to (so as to avoid paying). I was on wi-fi most of the time anyway. This was working perfectly for me, until.About 3 weeks ago, I received a txt message from 1550 (which, I think is orange's spambot) with the word "RockCorps" and an attachment. I accidentally clicked "download" and then clicked cancel as soon as I realised. I'm not sure if anything downloaded at all, nothing I noticed.HOWEVER, following that exact message, suddenly, although I was on the "null", fake apn, my phone went on gprs. I could see the icon and the NetSentry app recorded activity as well. I have NO clue what it was trying to download or upload at all.
I went into the apn switching screen to make sure I wasn't still on proper GPRS from the last time, but the selected option was the fake apn, which, up to then, gave me no data. No settings had changed on the fake apn, but it seems that even without selecting it, the fact that I had the proper apn listed enabled mobile data.
I got my X today, coming from the Droid to the Incredible now this. I love everything about the phone but the audio, Is anyone else having issues with the speaker rattling really bad during a conversation? Ive tried volume at all setting and its really annoying, purchased at Walmart and they dont have anymore to swap of course, anyone anyone

Turn on Vlingo In-Car.
Turn on Bluetooth headset and pair it w/ your phone.
Make a phone call and then hang up.
TURN OFF YOUR BLUETOOTH HEADSET.
WHen I do that, my phone RESETS. I think it's only w/ Vlingo in car on, regular bluetooth doesn't do that. (ALTHOUGH, my phone resets if I use gps, charge, use bluetooth, and talk at the same time....) Let me know if it's only an Incredible thing, or HTC thing, or all android thing...

I am not sure if this is normal, or if this sound is coming from the phone itself or if its the speaker. Can someone give me some feedback please?
