HTC Incredible :: Exchange Active Sync Calendar Events Not Synching With Google Calendar
Jun 15, 2010I did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

Jul 7, 2010I am having a calendar problem Microsoft Exchange/Active Sync. Calendar items I enter in my Incredible show up on Outlook. Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.

The question I have is whats the difference between active exchange sync and just setting up outlook like you would set up yahoo, gmail ect... Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just never had to use exchange before so im very unfamiliar with it. What I have been doing is just syncing my phone via usb with my home outlook.

I know iPhone does and the Palm Pre does after WebOS v1.1. I'm very interested in the HTC Hero but need to be able to connect to my corporate exchange server. It's a large company so I cannot have my device added to an exception list or anything.

Dec 2, 2009I've got my email and calendar syncing with my Exchange server every couple of hours, but if I make a change to an appointment from my PC and want to sync my Hero calendar immediately, how do I force an immediate update? I can refresh my email, but I can't see a calendar refresh option? I worked it out. Just go to home screen, menu, Settings, Data synchronization, Exchange ActiveSync and there's a Sync now button at the bottom of the screen that syncs mail, contacts and calendar when you click it. Perfect. Would be nice if it was a little easier to get to though!

When I set it up I told it not to sync my contacts and calendar because I usually sync my work calendar with Google Calendar Sync. However, I am now using Office 2010 Beta at work and Google Calendar Sync does not support it.

Oct 6, 2010I've had a look around the forums but I'm struggling to find out how to change the colour of my active exchange calendar. I use Jorte on top of the stock calendar but it doesn't let me change the font colour as this is decided by the stock one.
My synced google calendars all appear in their relevant colours and if I change them online they will update accordingly. However everytime I create the active exchange its always orange and its not the easiest colour to read.

Nov 26, 2010I connect my DHD to the Exchange 2007 at works and it works great for the most parts, but weekly my contacts fail to synchronize. Mail and Calendar works fine, but when syncing contacts it says it can't connect to server. I then have to remove my account and set it up for scratch again. Then it works fine for a weeks or so. Anyone else with the same problem?

Aug 31, 2010Convert from Touch Pro 2 to EVO 4G. Wireless sync with an Exchange server for Outlook from my office. For some reason, I keep getting an Exchange sync error for Contacts only. Mail and Calendar work fine, but I do not see Notes and Tasks. I have not yet tried syncing usb with my computer (basically because I'm scared to try). I'm hoping someone will take pity on the newbie and help me out.

Jun 8, 2010Is anyone using Exchange ActiveSync with "As items arrive" enabled?I had it set this way yesterday and my battery was completely dead in 4 hours (with minimal use). Now, i have it set to check "Every 10 minutes" and my battery is at 60% after 7 hours of heavy use!! Incredible! I am using Exchange 2003 (hosted provider) and I've NEVER had a device do this. The devices always seem to last longer with "as items arrive" set - since it isn't syncing regardless every 10 minutes.

I cannot get it to work though I am using all the settings that our IT department has given me. The setup keeps saying, check your Exchange account settings. I am not even able to connect to the mail server. I am using Wi-Fi and I have a network connection so there is no problem with that part. May 3, 2010I searched the Activesync threads and haven't found this issue, hopefully someone can help me out. I have Activesync working fine, able to receive and send emails, have all of my contacts and calendar items. Works flawlessly, other than the Company Directory. When I search for someone in the Global Address List using the Online Directories and then Company Directory I get the person, their email, Company and Title but no phone numbers. I have used a couple of iPhones and they return all the info and accessing the OMA page and searching returns all the info. Any thoughts? I looked at the logs on the OMA sever (also our OWA server) and show no errors in the Event viewer or the IIS logs and VZW was completely useless.

Apr 30, 2010I got an incredible yesterday.Been trying to get Exchange active sync to work.The problem is that no matter what option I choose in Schedule (as items arrive, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc...), the phone always defaults back to Manual.Nothing I do will make the change stick.I've tried a battery pull, deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it.I even installed the trial version of touchdown to make sure push email was set up correctly on the server and it works perfectly in touchdown.Any thoughts?I've done about everything I can think of.I don't want to buy touchdown because this should work for free.

HTC Incredible :: Way To Create Email Filters For Active Sync Exchange?
Apr 29, 2010I have the D Inc and have a question. Is there anyone to create filters in Active Sync Exchange that filters out emails so they don't hit your Inc. I have a rule setup in Outlook that automatically sends an email sent by a specific email address to go directly to my deleted items in my Personal Folders in Outlook 2007. The reason why i ask is because on my BB Storm, I setup a filter that blocked these emails from going to my BB In box. I also remember on my Moto Q with Win Mobile I always also able to setup a filter as well. I work at a help desk with a ticket tracking system, the system sends an email for every ticket opened by the help desk to all help desk employees, so my in box can fill up quite quickly. I did notice that if I have Outlook opened up on my desktop these emails do not show up on my D Inc, but when I close Outlook (Like I did last night before I went home), they are showing up today on my Inc.

I'm asking because I'm going to an employer who said they only support Exchange corporate email on Blackberry or iPhone. I just purchased a Samsung Epic Android phone under Sprint. As far as I now there is no Enterprise email plan for that phone. But it does run ActiveSync. Why would an employer limit the devices allowed to access email and can they really enforce that? Is the limitation usually a function of what devices can run Active Sync? Also, if they do allow my Android, what beyond entering the the user, pw and exchange server do they need to do on my phone? Can they put a policy on my personal phone?

I have a gmail account setup in K9 mail and am using the mail app to connect to and sync with my companies Exchange server. I have mail, contacts, and calendars setup to sync for all accounts. On my Android calendar app I see both the gmail and exchange calendar items, and in google contacts I see both gmail and exchange contacts. But the calendar events are not syncing with google calendar. I've tried deleting and recreating the exchange account with no luck. Can someone tell me if there's a trick to doing this?

Jul 26, 2010Contacts and Email sync just fine with Exchange 2007 on my EVO 4g (latest firmware update as of 7/26/10) the problem is the calendar sync.I can create single appointments on my EVO and they'll appear right away in the Outlook calendar. I can do the reverse in Outlook and they'll appear right away on the EVO's calendar. I can delete in both places as well.The issue is, any appointments that seem to be reoccurring don't sync over to the evo. I see them all in Outlook, but no matter what I do, I can't sync them to the EVO. I've tried setting the sync range to "All" in the calendar settings, manually refreshing, even slightly modifying the reoccurring appointment in Outlook and saving it, but nothing helps.

I got rid of my iphone 3g for the HTC incredible, as so far its been great.I'm looking to have my gmail set up on my HTC using their exchange, or push email (rather than imap). I've got that set up, but had to download a new mail client to do so, as the built in mail client wont allow me to sync my work calendar (only the calendar) though my corporate exchange, and have gmail set up with exchange as well.I was wondering if there is an exchange calendar only app, or an email app that will sync my corporate exchange calendar. I do no like the interface of the email app I downloaded. I would like to use the built in email app with android 2.1 for my Gmail, and a different app to sync only my work calendar.Note, I do not want to sync my work calendar to google calendar, and then to my phone. I'm less than impressed with google calendar, and thats one more hoop to jump through / point of failure.
