I have a Droid Incredible and my business uses Microsoft Exchange 2003. every few weeks my phone will say that there's a problem with the exchange server when I try to sync. Restarting the server doesn't resolve this error, but removing the account from my Droid and re-adding it does.

Is there an easy way to add email addresses from the company email directory on Microsoft Exchange to existing contacts already in my phone & have a complete company email directory? I had it on my BB with AstraSync & thought I saw it on my Eris when I had 1.5 but I can't find it on my DINC.

I am trying to find an app to synch with tasks on the Exchange server. The only one I have found is Touchdown which replaces email, contacts, and calendar also. View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to the forums, hoping someone is able to assist me with some Exchange Server Contact sync problems. We are running Exchange 2007 (w/ SSL) and my mail and calendars sync no problem. But when it does the contacts, I get the error "Synchronization is experiencing problems" with no further message to the error. I have tried over WiFi and with the carriers network. This is on a fresh wipe of the device, I have tried deleting and re-adding the exchange account to the device but with the same error. I get approx 6 of my 325 contacts synced.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a quick search and couldn't find any topics exactly the same as the problem I am having.
For the first ten days or so all my contacts were syncing fine on the Hero from my Exchange account. I then added a new contact in Outlook / Exchange and from this point on, every time I sync the exchange contacts it fails with a client / server conversion error in the notifications. I deleted said contact again in Outlook to no avail.
The mail and calendar are syncing fine, and I have an HTC Snap syncing to the same Exchange account on the same network (Orange UK) just fine (I know the latter is Windows Mobile but still...)
Any ideas? Or is there any way I can see a log of some sort to see why it is failing?
Is this something I have to deal with or is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Same thing w/ the calendar reminders. I have dismissed them on my phone but they still come up in outlook when I get home.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my Incredible on April 29th and setup my Exchange email account and was able to send and receive with no problems. Contacts and calendar synced with no problems. Everything was fine for about a week then I noticed I was no longer receiving emails. I could send with no problems and contacts and calendar still synced ok, I just could not get emails using wither WiFi or Verizon's network. I went into the account settings and activesync settings and see an error message that said "error occurred on the computer running the exchange server". Deleting and recreating the account on the Incredible seems to work, but for only about 7-10 days then right back in the same boat. I do not think the phone is the issue as I had a Droid and had the almost identical problem.
On the Droid I did not see the error message but I would stop receiving emails after about a week. I have tried Touchdown and it's almost the same issue, except that the error is something along the lines of "mail queued on the server". Again, removing and reinstalling the account in Touchdown resolves the issue for about another week. I called our corp help desk folks and it was a wasted phone call. All I got from them was we don't support mobile devices via activesync and wouldn't talk about it anymore, so I am leaning toward something on our mail server causing the issue. My only problem with that answer is that we also have other users here with iPhones and Windows mobile devices and they are not having any problems, and they are also connected via activesync.
I got my inc in April this year and had the exchange sync connected to my work email with no issues. Last week i dropped the my inc, broke the glass and got a new inc from asurion, which shipped with 2.2. I never installed the 2.2 on the old phone. Since the new phone, none of my work emails pop. If I open the mail app it syncs. I deleted and reinstalled the account a few times and no change. Anyone with these issues with 2.2 and know how to correct it?Also my phone is not rooted.

They change, but show up twice on my DINC: same event, same time, same place, etc., but only once via PC.I am trying to solve and here's a question: when you go to calendar > menu > more > Calendars > what choices do you have and what do you have checked? I have "'My Calendar"; "Exchange"; and "PC Sync" and I feel like I should only have one checked, but don't knwo which one. I am new to Droid and want to stay, but this is killing me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed b-folders (a password manager) and it allows for a wireless sync between the DI and desktop, so i connected to the wireless network at work for the first time for the sync.Everything went well, except I stopped getting push mail from Exchange.I remembered a thread about Exchange not syncing over a wireless connection, so I turned off the wireless.My other e-mail accounts work fine, as do syncing calendar and contacts for exchange (both ways).I can send mail from the DI on the Exchange account, but I get no mail on the phone from the Exchange account.I have removed the battery, resaved the account information for the Exchange account, but still no mail received on the phone.I am at my wits end trying to figure this out.the problem seems only to effect incoming mail from the Exchange server on the phone, all the other info from the server comes through fine (even 5 minute alarms for upcoming appointments).Any ideas from the cloud?

Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.

I have Activesync working fine, able to receive and send emails, have all of my contacts and calendar items. Works flawlessly, other than the Company Directory. When I search for someone in the Global Address List using the Online Directories and then Company Directory I get the person, their email, Company and Title but no phone numbers. I have used a couple of iPhones and they return all the info and accessing the OMA page and searching returns all the info. Any thoughts? I looked at the logs on the OMA sever (also our OWA server) and show no errors in the Event viewer or the IIS logs and VZW was completely useless.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI got an incredible yesterday.Been trying to get Exchange active sync to work.The problem is that no matter what option I choose in Schedule (as items arrive, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc...), the phone always defaults back to Manual.Nothing I do will make the change stick.I've tried a battery pull, deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it.I even installed the trial version of touchdown to make sure push email was set up correctly on the server and it works perfectly in touchdown.Any thoughts?I've done about everything I can think of.I don't want to buy touchdown because this should work for free.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have the D Inc and have a question. Is there anyone to create filters in Active Sync Exchange that filters out emails so they don't hit your Inc. I have a rule setup in Outlook that automatically sends an email sent by a specific email address to go directly to my deleted items in my Personal Folders in Outlook 2007. The reason why i ask is because on my BB Storm, I setup a filter that blocked these emails from going to my BB In box. I also remember on my Moto Q with Win Mobile I always also able to setup a filter as well. I work at a help desk with a ticket tracking system, the system sends an email for every ticket opened by the help desk to all help desk employees, so my in box can fill up quite quickly. I did notice that if I have Outlook opened up on my desktop these emails do not show up on my D Inc, but when I close Outlook (Like I did last night before I went home), they are showing up today on my Inc.

Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

I have 3 seperate email accounts but am having a problem when forwarding emails from my Corporate Exchange Server account. When forwarding an email the recepient receives the forwarded email as a .eml attachment. My other accounts forward the actual email and all settings are the same.Is there something else I need to set different on this email account?
I have twice (since Friday) encountered an ActiveSync error to my corporate exchange server that I've only been able to fix by deleting and recreating the ActiveSync profile. the problem manifests itself as a perpetual unsuccessful attempt to sync and occurs seemingly randomly. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I've seen some threads referencing Touchdown but not sure this is the right solution for this problem on the EVO. Please don't tell me I need to go back to my Blackberry...Thanks!

I am sure it has to do with a certificate (Equifax one).At work when I get it on the wifi it makes me install a certificate and it will be on exchange fine, actually thats how i set it up. But one cell data or anything else it won't sync.On 2.1 it synced fine.
