I need a feature similar to the one in Handcent. Where i could make the phone vibrate multiple times for a long time. I got rid of handcent and am really missing this. Is there another app with just this feature?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure when this started happening or if it ever even worked, but my vibrate notifications do not work for text messages or email (i'm using K-9). I've gone through EVERY possible setting, in the messaging app, in K-9, and the standard phone settings, to ensure that Vibrate Notification is indeed on, and yet it does not work. It doesn't matter if my phone is on Vibrate Mode, Silent Mode, or Normal Mode, no vibration notifications.
I've tried restarting the phone, nothing works.
My Haptic Feedback works perfectly.
Is there a way to make them vibrate? I've tried widgets and doin it myself and i can only seem to get phone calls to vibrate and nothin else. I like havin my phone on vibrate at work but it sucks that txt messages don't vibrate....what am i missing here?

Is there any settings for that ? It's hard to use phone when it's dark outside.
Another question : Why can't I add my Yahoo account in too "Email" program ?
I tells me that " Mailbox access is not supported for some types of Yahoo!"
So, in 1.5 there were all these complaints (from me, too) that the vibrate on the Eris is useless. But with 2.1, I can definitely feel a difference. Well, I can feel it at all, which is a huge difference. So kudos to HTC for seeing a problem and fixing it. Could be stronger, but still, much much better.

Before my eris would play the notification sound within a second of the vibration. Now, my phone lags for about 2 or 3 seconds, vibrating first, then ringing. use the native SMS program, and I don't want to have to download any new apps like chompSMS or anything, I just want my phone to start working again.

When getting a new text, it acts as if its on silent and not vibrate or anything but when i receive a phone call it vibrates. So i download Handscent to see if it vibrates with that app and it didnt. I have been throuh all the settings it seems like and I still cant get a vibrate with new sms messages.

In other words, in normal mode - you'll get an audible alert and vibrate. If you turn off vibrate for messaging, then switch the phone profile to vibrate, the phone doesn't vibrate for messages. So it seems like it's all or none - vibrate always on, or always off. Is this what others have found? I tried installing Quick Profiles and creating profiles but the behavior is the same. Is there an app that has more granular control and can actually control vibrate?

I have tried everything I could think of except doing a hard reset, which I don't really want to do. It seems to only not want to work with text messages. Phone works fine, as far as vibrate goes, and anything else that vibrates works without a problem.

Is there a way to disable the bottom keys (Menu, Home, Back, Search, etc etc) from vibrating when touch? Even when I dial a number the keys are vibrating (haptic feedback) I've read the manual. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Eris has been working fine with the screen timeout. It is set to go off at 1 minute. But since last night, it's only dimming the screen now. It will not turn off unless I press the end call button. It hasn't been doing that, so I'm not sure what's going on.
