View 5 RepliesI recently updated my eris to 2.1 and I really like it. The main thing that is currently annoying me with it is that when I am on a call, it still vibrates when I receive a text message. I like that it vibrates when I receive texts just not while I'm on the phone. How do I change this 'Phone Only' preference? 1.5 always just had a little beep or sound for the notifier never vibrated?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm picking up a Droid tomorrow. How is the call vibrate? I constantly missed just about every call on my Eris.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have no idea what I did. My DX will not ring for incoming calls. It will only vibrate. I've set ringtones and nothing happens.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a new problem for the incoming call. My phone is work well until now. The phone doesn't ring and vibrate when incoming call. So, I restart my phone and I tried to call my phone but it's ringing vibrate the first time. Then the second time doesn't work anything.
View 27 Replies View RelatedAnyone figured out a solution to the really weak vibrate on the Eris yet?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have tried handcent and chomp. For some reason I can not get the phone to vibrate when I receive a message. It works with the weak stock Eris vibration, but nothing with chomp or handcent.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSomething's missing. I've failed the setup. Incoming gmail should produce an alert of some sort, and it's not happening. I haven't found the button, switch, trigger, or ?? to do it.
The mail is on the phone, but new mail should alert me. It doesn't.
Obviously, it's part of google's IQ test - and I didn't pass.
Is it possible for the Eris to Ring AND Vibrate simultaneously on an incoming call? I'm not seeing anything in the menu...maybe a third party app is necessary?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs anyone having issue soft vibrate on incoming calls, txt, etc.?(HTC eris) I have to have on vib @ work...I have a belt clip and cant feel the vibe on my hip...then next I grab my off my clip....bunch of missed calls ad txts. Is there a tweak or fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo for my Eris i flashed the new kayos v38 rom and add the conap cfs v8 for the camera and battery drain fix.
Now heres a new problem that I notice! The vibrate for the incoming phone doesnt work It worked last time a install the exact same thing. but now it's like total silence when i put my phone on vibrate.
After the Touchdown update I can't get any of my notifications to vibrate for either email or SMS. The phone will still vibrate. I emailed Touchdown and they said that they have heard some things about the vibrate issue but have not been able to duplicate the problems, he recommended a reboot which after two times has not done anything to help the situation. I have to have the vibrate settings for work so I'm screwed without them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to turn off all sounds except for one incoming number? I like to have my phone completely off by when my ex wife has our son, I'd like to keep it on just for if she calls. Is this possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI switched to a Droid X from a BlackBerry. On the BlackBerry, not only could you set phone and SMS custom alerts and ringtones (in addition to custom ring profiles for certain contacts), you could also set email alerts.
So for example, if my husband emailed me, it would ring a custom alert for his email, not just for an email to that particular account. That meant I didn't need to look at my phone every time got an email to see who it was from. (I have a web-based business and I get literally hundreds of emails every day.)
On the BlackBerry, not only were there custom inboxes for each email account, there was a "universal" inbox. There doesn't seem to be a function exactly like that for the Android (I tried adding my Gmail accounts to the one there, but it keeps defaulting me back to each Gmail box).
Is there an app for this?
I have Ringo Pro for my custom sms and call alerts, but an email alert would be a lifesaver. There are a lot of BB converts to Android (and I'm sure more to come) who would gladly pay for an app to handle this. So far, it's the only thing I can see where the Droid X doesn't beat the BB.
I always like ot have my sms vibrate and my phone calls vibrate, never make noises. How do I make different vibrates for my sms notifications and incoming calls?
View 4 Replies View Relatedsince updating to 2.1 which actually went quite smoothly once i'd 'found' my contacts, my phone vibrates as well as makes a sound on incoming texts. The help guide (also disappeared off phone but can stll access online version) still refers to tapping settings & then tapping notifications.... well since the upgrade my settings menu has changed beyond recognition & when you tap settings there is no notifications option! The nearest is 'sound & display', in which i can change the sound used for texts alerts and also has a phone vibrate for incoming calls (which is unchecked) but nothing re vibrate for incoming texts. I know its only a little thing but its really bugging me. how do i turn the vibrate off?
View 2 Replies View Relatedanyone know of any apps that allow my inc to vibrate alert for sms text messages?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an htc hero with sprint. Recently, I have been facing some issues with not hearing or feeling text messages because I miss the tone or buzz of the phone, even with the max volume on. Is there a setting where I can make the phone repeatedly give me an alert and/or vibrate when I get a text message? I have searched both the sound and display option in the phone settings and the messages settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI keep my phone on vibrate most of the time and I've found that when I'm on the phone talking to someone and I get a new email, the phone vibrates so I can hear it, which is great. But the caller on the other end hears it too and they always end up saying 'WTF was that noise'? How to turn this off so callers don't hear the vibrate mode too?
View 24 Replies View RelatedHandcent won't vibrate for any incoming messages. Here is what I've done:
-Phone vibrate is checked in 'Sound & display settings' for Android.
-Vibrate is checked to always in Handcent.
-Tried multiple vibrate patterns in both normal mode and vibrate mode.
-Tried multiple vibrate patterns for vibrate 'Only when device is set to vibrate mode' (option in handcent) while having the device in vibrate mode.
-Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Handcent.
Phone vibrates normally for all other applications.
Sorry if this has been bought up in the past but how do you get the phone to vibrate on incoming messages? I have the phone set to vibrate on incoming messages but does not work. does vibrate for phone calls though.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've gone into messaging settings and set vibrate to on and it is not vibrating on incoming messages. The phone vibrates on incoming calls so the actual vibrating mechanism works. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I am on the phone and a message or voice mail is left, the notification blares in my ear. Anyone else experienced that and is there a resolution?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i receive a text message the phone doesnt sound an alert or vibrate, really annoying having to keep checking the phone to see if i have any messages. The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use to get a low battery alert warning at 15%, 10% and again at 5%. However, now I am not getting any alerts and my phone just display ready to shut off as I am using it. Is there a settings area that I inadvertantly changed? Has amyone else experienced this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, in 1.5 there were all these complaints (from me, too) that the vibrate on the Eris is useless. But with 2.1, I can definitely feel a difference. Well, I can feel it at all, which is a huge difference. So kudos to HTC for seeing a problem and fixing it. Could be stronger, but still, much much better.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm using Handcent SMS and I never hear any kind of sound when I receive a text while on the phone. How do I change it so I can hear the alert?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I never had this problem before, and I don't know what I may have changed that started it. Before my eris would play the notification sound within a second of the vibration. Now, my phone lags for about 2 or 3 seconds, vibrating first, then ringing. use the native SMS program, and I don't want to have to download any new apps like chompSMS or anything, I just want my phone to start working again.
