I have no idea what I did. My DX will not ring for incoming calls. It will only vibrate. I've set ringtones and nothing happens.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs anyone having issue soft vibrate on incoming calls, txt, etc.?(HTC eris) I have to have on vib @ work...I have a belt clip and cant feel the vibe on my hip...then next I grab my off my clip....bunch of missed calls ad txts. Is there a tweak or fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my eris to 2.1 and I really like it. The main thing that is currently annoying me with it is that when I am on a call, it still vibrates when I receive a text message. I like that it vibrates when I receive texts just not while I'm on the phone. How do I change this 'Phone Only' preference? 1.5 always just had a little beep or sound for the notifier never vibrated?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my phone connected to my companies exchange server through touchdown. I would like to disable the notification sound and vibrate for new emails. I get a ton of emails and my phone is buzzing non stop. I turned my notification sound level down but that also stops text notification I would still like to hear those.
Is there a way to stop just email notifications?
Ive lost my vibrate on SMS and email notifications. Can NOT get anything to trigger them. uninstalled and rebooted after removing my "ringer mode" widget, but that hasnt helped. rebooted multiple times through the day after doing a factory reset then installing all my apps. (to get the battery manager to stop FCing)
thats when i noticed gmail notifier wasnt vibrating my phone on emails. later I noticed it wasnt just email
anyone know what might be causing it? OTA 2.2 X. yes i checked gmail, sounds, handcent, gmail notifier, sms popup, all are set to vibrate. all do nothing (play sound and notifications show up ok, just no vibrate)
Calls will vibrate though.
I just got my Droid yesterday and all of the sudden about two hours ago my girlfriend said she tried calling me for the last 40 min and my phone would ring once and go to voicemail. Earlier in the day i called Verizon to cancel my Visual Voicemail and after the rep did that for me he told me to dial *228 and select option 2 to update my roaming features....so I did.
Since then my girlfriend had the issue of her calls going to voicemail and my phone not even ringing. Can *228 cause this issue? Is this a common problem? I called Verizon back and the rep told me to dial *228 and hit option 1 to reprogram my phone. I did it and tried calling my phone from my other line and it is working fine. I can make calls no problem too. I calle my Droid about 15 times and everytime it went through. Is it possible for a specific person's phone to have an issue getting through to another phone?
All the incoming calls I've received since 2.0.1 update look like this: and it slides right/left not up or down like the arrows point. The whole animation graphic is rotated. No forced update, I waited till I got the OTA. Not rooted, no custom unlock or homes.

I'm not sure if the caller on the other end can hear me or not.In the meantime, I've switched my vocoder options back to the factory default to see if maybe that helps. Really, it's a shot in the dark, but it's a start.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHad my Droid X about 2.5 weeks and it stopped playing my ring tones and message alerts. It does nothing but vibrate, and it doesn't always do that. I've checked every setting I know to check, and everything is good. Anyone have any suggestions? I converted from Blackberry because of the system freeze ups.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLike to utilize my new GV number, but the difficulty integrating SMS and incoming calls with the built-in contacts program has me reluctant.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am getting force closes on my emails on my SMS texts with the default message program and also when I get a call it keeps ringing forever and makes me force close and also when I go to hang up the screen stays black and then makes me force close. I've tried batt pull many times.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen recieving incoming calls message on screen when call is showing on device screen it shows system message : ["blacklisted incoming number"] {not exact message, but similiar...}. This is happened a couple of times so it is not a fluke. The calls work at first, but after this you cant recieve calls from that number. There is no setting or list to remove or edit the blacklist "feature".
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have something like 470 people in my Google Contacts under "All Contacts" and only about 60 under "My Contacts." I like it that way, because then my Droid contact list isn't full to the brim with people whose numbers I really don't need at the touch of my fingertips. That being said, however, it would be very cool if somehow the "All Contacts" section of my Google Contacts could be used to identify incoming phone calls.
For instance:
I want my Brother's phone number in My Contacts so I can call him.
I don't want my ex girlfriend's Stacey's number in My Contacts because I don't need to call her.
I still have my ex-girlfiend's contact info under "All Contacts" because there's no reason to delete it outright.
I would, however, like for my Droid's caller ID to tell me that the person calling me is "Stacey" instead of "unknown caller."
Am I asking too much? I know I could just add everyone to "My Contacts" and that would work, I just don't necessarily want 500 people in my Droid phone book. It's unnecessary. Or even apps that do this?
Is there any way to black list a contact from your incoming calls and messages? I got someone who will not leave me alone no matter what I try.. any way to block them entirely from my Droid without getting Verizon involved or having to change my number?

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing Handcent SMS, but my phone won't vibrate when I get a message. It vibrates when I get a call.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAll I want to do is create a simple "vibrate" profile that turns phone calls and text messages to vibrate. I have the call part but the messages just come in silently with no vibrate. I have the following in the task:
1) Vibrate on Notify: On
2) Vibrate on Ringer: On
3) Silent Mode: Vibrate
Is it possible for the Eris to Ring AND Vibrate simultaneously on an incoming call? I'm not seeing anything in the menu...maybe a third party app is necessary?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am going to be spending a little time in Canada for work. I know that if I turn my phone on it will connect to the network and start downloading email, texts, etc. Before I leave for canada I want to set up my phone so that when I turn it on up there, it won't try to get my e-mails. I also want to find away to stay in contact with my wife through the wifi. I do have google voice, so is there a way to use that to talk to her? The hotel does have wifi so I need to be able to turn off 1x, 3g, 2g, or whatever the phone uses to connect to the network but leave the wifi on. I would love some suggestions on how to keep in touch with my wife without getting charged for it. When I am in the hotel I will be using skype to talk to her through my laptop, but I wont be in the hotel during the day.
