I was backing up all the apps using astro to sd then deleted some off the phone to increase the internal memory. In the process I deleted google maps then I lost the navigation icon so I can't find it back. Is there any way to get it back? I can't even access the navigation app from anywhere not even the market. It's the one with the blue arrow.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am a new user of android phones, having previously used iPhones. I got this phone from someone, so there were some apps installed. Thinking uninstalling was as simple as deleting the icon on the menu, I did just that, only to realise the apps are still installed (when I went into my installed apps to check the list). I have also encountered some incidents where I have installed an app but the icon does not appear in my menu, or has disappeared somehow. How can I get these icons back? I understand I can uninstall and reinstall but is there an alternative?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThose of you who have root access in there devices may have noticed icons missing on there home screens. If you are wondering why this is due to using Titanium Backup to move apps to the SD card. This only happens with certain apps, usually only the ones that can't be moved from the devices settings. To fix this simply move said apps back to internal storage and all will be well.

After installation, icons for the programs don't appear in the programs list. I've confirmed they're installed, as they show up in the manage apps list. Any programs installed via the Market show up on the programs list.
My wife was messing with her Ally, don't know what she did but she cannot text and I notice the icons are missing on left side of toolbar.

I can only find them thru the settings menu if I tap setting> aplications >manage applications. not only is it frustrating I canot use them. I did find a somewhat long process for using them by typing the app name into google play yet However not only is that time consuming, any way to access the hidden icons?

Until recently I had no problems, everything was working fine, but then when messing around with my homescreen and launcher (nothing major, just changing layouts) I realised my status bar had gone and couldn't find any way to get it back.
Here's the strange part though - I'd recently taken a nandroid backup, when I know the status bar was there, so I restored to that and the status bar was still missing.
Then, as a last resort, I backed up all my apps with Titanium Backup, wiped all partitions and reinstalled the ROM. The status bar is still missing.
I got my pal the Motorola Droid or Milestone as they call it here, I booted up the device checked for updates and it was the latest one (2.1 update1) , I couldn't find the Android Market app, so the phone is really sad without the market place, How can I bring it back.

View 7 Replies View RelatedBeen on 2.1v3 since it came out and just today I noticed in the market a couple of games are now showing in my Downloads as Purchased. I bought them back on 1.5 and haven't seen them since the 2.1v1,2,3 updates.
They are SmartPix games Tan'n'Feed and CrystalLight Defence ( and they are great to play, by the way ).
Anyway, I'm 99.9% positive they have not been in my Downloads in the Market since I started down the 2.1 path. Now they are...weird.
Wonder if the 2.1 rollout triggered something in the marketplace?
I removed them off the intial screens ....how do i get these icons back?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot see any of my screens. I just see a black screen. The screen has no background but it is black but lit up or active [not black like when it is off though]. No response to hitting any of the 4 buttons[home,menu,return, search]. I only get a response when I hold down the home key. A message pops up saying 'Recent Apps' and 'No recent apps'. I'm wondering if it is trying to respond but bogged down with an app.
This all started after I installed a Koi screen saver. The screen saver works and lets me close the screen saver but goes to a blank screen. Don't see anything. Sound rocker responds, power button works, I even heard mail arriving. Feel pretty dumb.
For the life of me, I can't seem to get to the power bar widget. I want a shortcut on my home screen. I have tried the method of: long press Home Screen>HTC Widget and I don't see it available there. Is it possible I deleted it? Can I get it back?

Tried connecting my bluetooth today to give a presentation using PPT Remote, but the computer has said that the peripheral driver is missing and I cannot use it as a paired device. It has discovered my N1 but won't connect. Any ideas?

I picked a few from different packs and I would like to clean up my phone if I can by getting rid of the packs. Will the icons revert back if the pack is gone?Also, if there are any really cool color icon packs out there let me know! View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Launcher pro, and at random times, I go to the home screen to see all the icons missing. The dock's still there, but yeah. Only way to fix this would be to restart Launcher Pro, after which I'll have to wait around 30 seconds to even a minute at time for everything to come back. Is there some fix to this/maybe better alternative for launcher/quicker way to get the icons back...?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI used the default 'Notes' app in 1.6 to store lots of info (and my gf's xmas list!) and now in 2.1 it's empty.
I used the backup/restore and even ZIPped my SDCard separately in case of data loss but cannot work out how to retrieve my notes.
After updating to 2.1 I noticed something new in the Phonebook. Short pressing on a contact gave 3 icons regarding that contact; call, text and one other I can't remember. Since then I've re-installed the old apps including ADW launcher and now these 3 icons are nowhere to be found. How I can get these icons back?

I know it's possible to end a phone call on the Desire by pressing the power button after enabling it in settings. But when I go to Settings/Accessibility I get a pop-up message saying, 'No accessibility related application found. You can download a screen reader for your device from Android Market. Click OK to install the screen reader.'If I press 'Cancel' I'm in the accessibility settings with a single grayed-out 'Accessibility' option. But no other options are available.
