View 9 RepliesI'm not sure who I should complain to about this, HTC or Google, but after I did the most recent Hero (sprint) firmware update I am unable to see applications that I developed nor several applications that I paid for (and free ones) on the Market. This makes updating them unavailable. Also, if I do a factory reset on my phone, then I will not be able to download these paid for applications again. What's the deal here? A friend of mine who also did the firmware update is in the same boat. Since I do have applications out there that people are buying, I am now unable to view comments for those since I cannot see them on the Market. What's the solution to this? Should I contact HTC as well?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the life of me, I can't seem to get to the power bar widget. I want a shortcut on my home screen. I have tried the method of: long press Home Screen>HTC Widget and I don't see it available there. Is it possible I deleted it? Can I get it back?
Thanks. I tried searching but could not find anything.
I was backing up all the apps using astro to sd then deleted some off the phone to increase the internal memory. In the process I deleted google maps then I lost the navigation icon so I can't find it back. Is there any way to get it back? I can't even access the navigation app from anywhere not even the market. It's the one with the blue arrow.

View 32 Replies View RelatedLast night they were all there, this morning nothing. At first I thought it was just slow to load them, it sometimes happens & you wait for a couple of seconds then they all appear. But not today. I updated my firmware yesterday twice - first to 1.32.405.3 and then to 1.32.405.6 - but they were definitely there after the updates. I've seen some other threads with the same issue on other phones but they're all at least a few months old. htcsense.com has, disaapointingly, not got all of my messages either. It seems to have most of them (including the last one I sent) but somehow is missing some in between.
View 19 Replies View RelatedThis morning, I received a Firmware update notification. I clicked it to download it and it updated.
I have now got the following details:-
Firmware version: 2.1-Update1
Sofware Number: 1.15.110.11
Browser Version: Webkit 3.1
Anyone have any idea what the bug fixes or improvements were?
I think I've read on the thread about the Froyo 2.2 release, that a rom has been leaked that will work with Sense on the Desire? Has anyone got any links/guides to getting this to work?
Secondly, I've currently got my phone debranded but this has led to my wifi being disabled since the last firmware update, I know I'll have to root my phone to install the 2.2 rom but will this then mean I will have to input the network code as that's what I was told would need to happen if I was to reflash my phone with the unbranded rom again.
Updated to 2.2 after using the option on the phone. Updated fine, but now find that the market app is missing. The Facebook app is gone too. Any way I can get the market app back without doing a reset?

View 2 Replies View RelatedQuote (in red) below from weirdNumber Mine is a Desire that i have previously debranded. I have formatted an SD card, copied over the downloaded zip file, re-named it, but it fails with incorrect CID. Do i need to create a Goldcard again?
I basically did the same thing that I did when I debranded my phone.
You need a goldcard (Lekky has a guide on his website) then I installed the

I said it was from Modaco earlier which was my mistake.
I suspect if your phone is already a generic one then you can just download the zip from that thread and follow;

2- Renamed the zip file to PB99IMG.zip
3- Turned off my desire
4- Turned on by using VolumeDN+Power keys
5- Selected fastboot
6- Desire loads the zip file then asked me if I wanted to flash the new ROM by pressing the VolumeUP Key
7- Restarted 2 times and the new rom was there
The procedure didn't worked if I tryed to rename the zip file into update.zip and went in the recovery menu, I got an error like "invalid keys detected"
Just upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Portal/Spica to a DHD and really happy with the move. Its a beast of a phone!
One question though, the "standard" HTC clock widget, that includes the weather on it won't auto update. If I click it, then menu, then settings the only selectable options are "Update when opened" and "Temperature scale".
The options for "Update automatically" and "Update schedule" are greyed out. I've tried adjusting the sync settings in the main settings section but nothing makes a difference.
How can I get this to work? Frequently I will look at my phone and it will tell me my location but not the weather. And whilst it isn't vital, I jkust think the screen looks nicer with a sun or cloud or moon or whatever on it.
Has anybody managed to get the news widget to auto-update? Twitter is fine just the news widget.
View 16 Replies View RelatedMy Marketplace widget is not working after the update to 2.2 I am on 3 network here is what the message is when i press on the market icon on my phone - " The linked program is no longer installed on your phone"..
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe version of the software that is most current is version 6 (the phone shipped with version 3).
To ascertain version: Go to Dialer/Hit Star/#9999#
You will see the PDA; Phone; and Software Version numbers in this section
The T939xxxx6 for PDA AND PHONE and then
Software Version - ending in .006 on the last line.
I was told that the reason that I keep seeing the "No update file exists" message when I check "update firmware" is because I have the latest version.
At some point my phone was updated without giving me a message. I did notice the red and blue arrows yesterday. But there was no message. My SD card mounted and dismounted on its own and gave an error message, and then all references to the error and SD card disappeared.
If your phone is/has exhibited this sort of behavior, you may already have the update.
Got my new desire a few weeks ago on o2, I am having problems with the HTC weather & flip clock widget (the one you get with it), when I go to the weather settings and set the auto update for every hour (or any interval) I do not save the settings, the auto update is always unchecked when I go back to check. Done the usual things remove the widget and added it again to the screen but still does not work.

Took the phone back to Best Buy and demanded an exchange. After receiving the new phone, went to try to firmware update, it showed that one was available. I asked for my old battery back since it was charged fully so that I could do the update. Put my old battery back in, went to update, NO UPDATE AVAILABLE!

My question is, since I flashed the csc and kernel, how do I flash back to the stock JF6 rom that came with the phone? Just the pit and .tar (pda)? I have the firmware and the pit file.. just wondering what is entailed because of flashing the additional csc and kernel files as well.

I just got a behold 2 rooted yesterday and im not all that a fan of it i was just wondering how i can go abouts to just get normal unroooted android back on it
if anyone knows of a tut that they can point me to that would be awesome!
I'm not sure if any of this will help but here are some specs about it
firmware version:1.6
baseband version: t939uvja3
kernal version: 2.6.29 root sep-51 #1
build number: donut.bh_man_r11
Get rid of that mombojumbo and back to normal stock android .
I currently own a Samsung galaxy s2, which is still in warranty.
I was wondering if after i flash it with a custom ROM of ICS, i was thinking about sticking on Resurrection Remix ics v1.0 PRO.
If it were possible to literally put the stock operating system back onto it, potentially reapplying my warranty?
I have an HTC Desire GSM running MildWild CM 8.0.
Until recently I had no problems, everything was working fine, but then when messing around with my homescreen and launcher (nothing major, just changing layouts) I realised my status bar had gone and couldn't find any way to get it back.
Here's the strange part though - I'd recently taken a nandroid backup, when I know the status bar was there, so I restored to that and the status bar was still missing.
Then, as a last resort, I backed up all my apps with Titanium Backup, wiped all partitions and reinstalled the ROM. The status bar is still missing.
Does anyone have an idea what the difference is between the Firmware Update - 1.47.651.1 (21.43 MB) and the HTC software update 1.32.651.6 (13.14MB) is? My phone prompted me to do the Firmware update this afternoon and it worked great. I checked my wifes EVO this evening and noticed she still had the older software version 1.32.651.1.When I checked for a Firmware Update nothing is available for her phone. However, if I check for the HTC software Update it shows 1.32.651.1 is available for download. This isn't the same version I was prompted to download this afeternoon.
