I am not having a single issue with my phone, not a one. No contacts missing ,backlights not working, no rebooting on its own I absolutley love my Droid ,it even took two drops and not even a bruise. How many other of you are not having any issue with your DROID ?

For some reason, the soft keys on the front of my droid no longer light up and the keyboard back light no longer lights. Not sure how this happened, but any suggestions on what to do to get the lights back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know that they were listed in my contacts so I looked them up and to my suprise they were gone. As I looked around I found that ALL my Starred "favorite" contacts were missing. I checked online at the Google website and found the same names missing from my contact list. It was only the Starred names thet were missing. Has anyone else ran into this problem or know why it may have ate my Starred contacts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you have missing contacts in your contact list (even if all contacts is selected) but when you search for them they come up, here is the worlds easiest fix. Log into your google mail on your computers browser, click "contacts". In the left hand column the 1st row says "my contacts", note the total.Now 2nd to the bottom there it says "all contacts". If that total is more, click on it. At the top of the list of names click "all", In the column to the right there is a box that says "add to my contacts", Dont worry it will not duplicate contacts. Click on "add to my contacts" Now after this my phone started syncing contacts automatically, if yours does not, force the sync in the settings, accounts, google. as soon as its done, your missing contacts are now displayed.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I synced facebook contacts, I had a handful of contacts that duplicated, meaning there was the facebook info and their info from my regular contacts list. In each case, I selected the entry that did not have the facebook info and chose to delete that entry. When I did that, for some reason the entry with the facebook info is the one that disappeared. So, I just deleted the other contact entry too. Then when I added the contact back in, facebook wouldn't sync with it. So now, even though these contacts DO have a facebook account and are still listed as my friends, facebook will not sync with those contacts. I even tried the option of syncing ALL facebook friends and the handful of friends I did this with will not come back. Anyone experience this? If you delete a contact with facebook info once, is it impossible to sync back the facebook option?

Anyone have any ideas how I can get this back into my app drawer? All my contacts are there, but no way to access them.
So I "successfully" modded the latest Smoked Glass ROM to my wife's phone. Everything went perfect, expert now all her contacts are missing.Before flashing, I backed up her contacts to google. I also did the android backup. Nothing is here. How do I get them back?

View 13 Replies View RelatedRunning a a droid with the stock 2.2. Sat night they all disappeared as did any call history. Tried importing from SD card and they would not sync. When I try the names flash with a progress bar saying that its syncing... but they never show up in my contacts list. Also tried importing from my gmail account and that was useless too.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI performed a backup prior to flashing back to the SS 4.5 and have used the ROM before however I have no idea why my contacts aren't coming back up at all. My SD card is in the droid, and I know the contacts file is there just fine, but is almost as if it just isn't being seen, so none of my fb contact info will sync naturally because it doesn't see any contact info to sync to. Any ideas on how to get the contacts back up? The only other change I made was I changed to a 1.1 GHz LV kernal since the 1.0 was giving me problems...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had this happen three or four times now...two types of occurrences:
1. Edit an existing contact...when I select "Done" the screen says "Saving" and then returns to the contact list - and the contact I edited is gone.
2. Create a new contact - enter name, address, phone, select Done, "Saving" message appears, return to contact list, and the contact is not in the list.
Looked under all variants of the name (first, last, etc.) and it's just not there.
I'm creating the contacts on my primary account.
I'm on 2.01, no rooting, using the built-in contact manager.
I've noticed that sometimes the backlighting on the touch keys don't always light up. They still work but occasionally theyll light up but other times they wont. Does anyone have the same problem or is that just my phone and I need to get it swapped?

View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen on 2.1v3 since it came out and just today I noticed in the market a couple of games are now showing in my Downloads as Purchased. I bought them back on 1.5 and haven't seen them since the 2.1v1,2,3 updates.
They are SmartPix games Tan'n'Feed and CrystalLight Defence ( and they are great to play, by the way ).
Anyway, I'm 99.9% positive they have not been in my Downloads in the Market since I started down the 2.1 path. Now they are...weird.
Wonder if the 2.1 rollout triggered something in the marketplace?
On the bottom of the screen, there are three icons, a phone, the arrow for the app launch, and a head signifying contacts I assume. However, while the app launch works fine, no matter how much I press on the phone or the little head, nothing happens. Are they meant to launch the phone and the contacts panes or are they just dummy images? I'm quite confused.

For the life of me, I can't seem to get to the power bar widget. I want a shortcut on my home screen. I have tried the method of: long press Home Screen>HTC Widget and I don't see it available there. Is it possible I deleted it? Can I get it back?

I've had my Droid since they came out last year. Somehow I was able to configure notification lights for Gmail and Handcent, but I don't remember how. I had to wipe my phone and start over and now I can't figure out how I did that. I have Touchdown Pro for Exchange and that allows me to customize the LED for that app, but I can't find the settings for Gmail or Handcent. I know they used to be there, but I can't remember what I did to make them appear. I must have installed a third-party app, but I have no idea what it was. Any idea how I did it? I'd really like to get those notification LEDs back!

This is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.
