What am I missing? I just went through the scary process of rooting for the first time and I love the new features I opened up on my droid. however, I can't seem to find the amazon mp3 download app in the market anymore. What happened to this app?

I got my pal the Motorola Droid or Milestone as they call it here, I booted up the device checked for updates and it was the latest one (2.1 update1) , I couldn't find the Android Market app, so the phone is really sad without the market place, How can I bring it back.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with this app. I may use it in the future, so I don't want to delete it. But it keeps randomly popping up. When I go into my running applications, 8 out of 10 times it is running. I shut it down, and it keeps popping back up. How can I stop it from running on its own? I only want it to run if I manually click on it. Went into application settings and can find nothing to toggle it off with. This happens on a bunch of applications, but Amazon MP3 is the most frequent.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYep. SO I bought a bunch of MP3s from the Amazon store. I was clearing ot some folders of apps I had uninstalled, and accidentally deleted the storage folder for the Amazom mp3 purchases. Oops.
Is there anyway to get them back without paying again?
Ok so after rooting my phone and Installing fresh1.1 I got rid of the crap stock stuff, but I didn't notice it got rid of amazon mp3... I like that app! How do I get it back?

Apps such as weatherbug, barcode scanner, pkt auctions, and amazon just to name a few.I have even went back to the oringinal sprint ruu with not luck and then no luck with the OTA update. Can anyone try these apps and see if you have any luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had an edited png for the market icon in the vending apk but when I applied my edited png's to Ivans rom with the market fix it seems to have changed the icon back to the original market Icon. When I first loaded the rom it showed my edited png for the market icon but after my first reboot it seems to change the icon back to the original. I assume that the market is updating upon reboot so I pulled the vending apk off my phone and my edited png's are still there but its still showing the original market icon. Anybody else with an edited market icon notice this or any ideas of why its going back to original? I have tried this a couple times and it always updates after first reboot...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the missing sync from the market on Friday morning. I had to reset my handset because of the default settings of facebook doubled my contacts. Since setting the option of not to sync them doesn't take them away, I had to do a hard reset to get them out. I've downloaded most of my apps again, except Missing Sync. I can find it via the computer, but when I try to find it and download via either appbrain or directly from the market either I can't find it or it will not allow me to install the app with the following error - There are no matches in Android Market for the search:

i have received complaints from a number of customers that one of my paid apps is missing from the market and they can't download it after updating their phones to 2.2. I have no idea what the cause is and unfortunately i also don't have access to a device with 2.2. Maybe someone here can tell me what i'm doing wrong?...................

Are there still some issues with the Market or did HTC screw up yet again?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure who I should complain to about this, HTC or Google, but after I did the most recent Hero (sprint) firmware update I am unable to see applications that I developed nor several applications that I paid for (and free ones) on the Market. This makes updating them unavailable. Also, if I do a factory reset on my phone, then I will not be able to download these paid for applications again. What's the deal here? A friend of mine who also did the firmware update is in the same boat. Since I do have applications out there that people are buying, I am now unable to view comments for those since I cannot see them on the Market. What's the solution to this? Should I contact HTC as well?

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy wife has just got rid of her faulty X10 and moved to the X10 mini pro.
She's very frustrated as apps are just not showing up in the market. She used Bloo all the time along with AG Newspapers UK and Flood-it (game), these were 3 of the most used apps she had but when she searches the market for them it says they are not there! I have managed to get hold of the latest Bloo beta apk and installed that and it works fine.
Any ideas why these apps do not show up? the mini pro is 320x240 so it's not a resolution problem (same res as my old G1), the apps show up on my Desire (same phone network etc) the phone was unbranded/unlocked from Expansys
I rooted my HTC Incredible last week and installed the Virtuous ROM with froyo 2.2. I recently realized that after doing this there are a ton of apps missing from the android market. Even ones that I already have installed on my phone like Evernote and Google Sky Map. If I go to the downloads section of the market which should show the apps I have installed it shows none.
The verizon section of the market displays only three applications when I know there should be a whole lot more. What is going on? I cannot find any apps. When I search for something there is usually one or two apps that show up and are not even what I was looking for. Is this a widespread problem with the market or a side effect of rooting and upgrading to the virtuous ROM?
Quick App Clean Cache. Any one else notice this is now missing from the Market? I'm assuming its due to the fact its copy protected but now its unpurchasable. Any one know another location it can be found? I wanted to buy this but should have done it before updating to 2.1 v3.

Couple of days back I picked up the Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro at the Dubai Duty Free only to realise after I come home that there is no Android Market application installed on the phone! This is absolutely ridicious, why would I buy an android phone if I cannot access the marketplace? Also if this is the case, it should be clearly highlighted and not sold in places like duty free where you have visitors/travellers and not always the residents of that particular country purchasing the mobiles.

I noticed today then when trying to open the Play store, it takes me directly to the Apps section and doesn't let me choose between the normal Apps, Movies and Books sections that i could before (i'm in the UK so no music option ever existed).
If i go to Play Book or Play Movies and press the market button, same happens, it just takes me to the apps secions.
I've tried clearing data on all google play related apps and uninstalling the google play updates and rebooting etc but still, everytime it takes me directly to the apps section and doesn't let me access any other section...
I was backing up all the apps using astro to sd then deleted some off the phone to increase the internal memory. In the process I deleted google maps then I lost the navigation icon so I can't find it back. Is there any way to get it back? I can't even access the navigation app from anywhere not even the market. It's the one with the blue arrow.

Until recently I had no problems, everything was working fine, but then when messing around with my homescreen and launcher (nothing major, just changing layouts) I realised my status bar had gone and couldn't find any way to get it back.
Here's the strange part though - I'd recently taken a nandroid backup, when I know the status bar was there, so I restored to that and the status bar was still missing.
Then, as a last resort, I backed up all my apps with Titanium Backup, wiped all partitions and reinstalled the ROM. The status bar is still missing.
One side effect I've noticed from the recent update: it seems like some apps are just gone from the Android Market. The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?
