I have a question on how to change icons back to the theme version after an app update. So after an app updates it changes back to the stock icon. Can I just reapply the theme and get the icons back to the themed version or do I have to wait until the dev updates the theme?

I've had a Motorola Droid since April and I am still new to it. I want to change my icons/widgets to something like this. I think it would look better. I like how the icons are a different color and such. The dialer and internet icons are at the bottom too. Dunno if it is rooted or not. Is this just some basic widget app or something?
View 4 Replies View RelatedCM10.1 or AOKP theme where the only thing that changes from stock is that the status bar icons, specifically signal, battery and wifi are white instead of Holo blue? Either that or a theme that replaces the status bar with MIUI bar icons but maintains the rest of the UI would be great as well. I tried one called HoloWhite, as well as a couple other minimalistic ones, but with those some of the icon styles changed.

Im running the latest update of launcher pro, but I have one problem when I change the default icons to my custom ones and if i go from lets say landscape back to normal all my icons revert back to default.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI made this for myself.It is not an approved theme.It is put together different then the others I have put out (for 2.2.2).Please check the Change log at the bottom of pics. I just booted it on 2.2.2 and am up and running fine so far.It is still in the testing faze. Do not apply this and then cry to the guys at Fission about problems.Do read the change log before applying. Its the same theme I always like with a little lighter application.It does not have a base in black out any longer. The base was taken from one of the direct 2.2.2 download themes.
View 26 Replies View RelatedI'm just trying to change my boot animation to go along with a theme i have for bugless beast 0.4...i was told to put the bootanimation.zip in the data/local folder which i did..then i used terminal to load it up and it says no such directory or something.
So to be clear i was supposed to create the local folder myself right? data is in the root, then i make the local folder inside the data? it seems i'm doing everything right but when i power on the phone i dont even have an animation..it just goes from the M symbol to the phone on.
I received Froyo this morning on my droid X. Is there any way to go back to the old lock screen icons. I hate the look of the 2.2 versions.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay so I had a problem with an app, it would never download and stay at the installing progress bar for days. I looked up the solution online and they told me to go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market>Uninstall Updates. I did that and now I have the old version on the Market, so I don't have automatic updating and there is no "Update All" button, so I can't do that either. I tried rebooting my phone, no luck. Unrooting and rebooting, still no luck. How can I update back to the newest version?

I'm hesitant to do that for this app cause its a paid app and I don't want to pay twice to reinstall it. Any ideas to fix this would be great.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just manually updated to 2.01, and everything went fine on the upgrade, no errors. Seems rather zippy, however now when I open the keyboard and the home screen shift to a horizontal layout, all my home screen icons (and widgets) disappear. On all three home screens. Everything is still there in the "all items" menu on the bottom. I'm not getting any kind of crash indicator, or force close or anything. A reboot brings it back, at least until I open the keyboard again. It's pretty consistent, although it seems I can avoid the problem by not opening the keyboard when it's on the home screen (only doing so when in an app). Never saw this with 2.0. I've googled around and seen other folks having similar problems, but no fixes mentioned, and none specifically referring to 2.0.1.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis bug just spontaneously arose. Every time I select a new wallpaper it loops back to the gallery. The problem does not occur when I pick one of the Droid pre-loaded wallpapers. Not sure if this is a coincidence, but I just installed sweeter home beta 2.
Update. I removed the 2.1 gallyey app and it fixed the problem
My contacts came from my Gmail account, which was very convenient.
But I noticed that if I change a contact on the Droid the changes are NOT synced back to Gmail.
At the moment if I look on the Droid for Contacts/Accounts/ me@gmail.com, I see Sync is ON, Calendar is synced up to present time, Mail is synced up to present, but Contacts are synced until 2. December only!
The sync symbol appears at Contacts, but the date and time isn't changing, it stays at 2. December.
On a rooted droid, can OTA update notifications easily be turned back on? If so, maybe we should all do it and increase the odds of catching the update.zip.

I used to have my droid rooted to droidmod I think, I started having some problems (this was months ago so I'm sure everything was fixed) and I unrooted and went back to stock 2.0.1 and then used the ota to update to 2.1. So I am waiting on froyo and I was just wondering if I update and don't like it will I be able to flash back to 2.0.1.

I have no idea what the update was really supposed to do in terms of performance but it's been a zero sum game. I don't give a flaming politician about live wallpaper or exploding gallery icons.
I like Panda's pull-outs that go across all desktops and the alphabetical pull-up. The stock phone is really lacking in terms of app organization. Photo organization too.
I updated to Ultimate Droid Extreme V7 and my phone worked great for a few days and is not bugging out. So I want to put my phone back to the stock ROM and get the verizon 2.2 update. How the heck do you do that?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI notice that the home screen is customizable but not the four applications on the bottom, the call, email, browser and applications. How would I change those icons with different icons? Mainly the email and browser. How do I turn off or at least severly limit the data that goes to and from my phone. I do not have wireless and am just a bit paranoid about going over my data limit. I got the phone from work and this is my first smartphone so I am a bit nervous about anything I do on it.
