I'm looking for someone who can give me the generic SD Card files from the Sprint HTC Hero, mainly the HTC Sync files that were on the card.

I want to back up my contacts and my text messages and be able to restore them.Some of my contacts are associated to phone instead of Gmail. I dont know how that happened or what I can do to associate them to Gmail. Ideally I would like to perform a back up for personal use instead of on google, and restore when ever I need it.
- How can I convert existing contacts from phone to Gmail status.
- How can I perform a back up and restore, independent of Gmail syncing.
- I used a back up tool to send my text messages as mail to Gmail. I am ok with that but would ideally want to restore the messages back to my phone too. Is it possible.
How can i backup my contacts list before updating my phone. would rather not have to buy an application to do this.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Hero yesterday and had the Sprint store transfer my contacts from my AT&T sim card. Everything seemed to work fine except when he looked in the "people" icon, nothing was there. So after a few more tries I left. When I got home, I noticed that all my sim card contacts, including my Facebook contacts, were visible when I hit the "phone" icon. My question is, how do I get my contacts in the "people" icon? I want them on the first tab "all". I was able to get one of my contacts in the "favorites" tab but it takes too long to get there. I want to hit "people" and see all my contacts right away.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn the people screen where you have the larger pics for your contacts some have a phone icon, others have a text icon and the index card icon. How can you get them to have the index card?
My problem is when I touch the pic it calls the person when what I want it to display the options, call, text, email etc. I know if you touch the bottom bar it does that but it takes some effort to get that right and not call someone by mistake.
I have tried DroidDraw and the Eclipse layout editor and both seem very difficult to create anything other than very simple layouts. I find myself dropping back to the XML file to be able to manipulate it.
Has anyone found any good tools to design the actual screens? I am not looking for a mock-up tool... but an actual tool to create the XML layouts.
I am about to move to Vodafone from o2 and i need to back up all my contacts on my sim. I have just had a new Htc Desire and o2 have told me i will lose my contacts when they deactivate my sim card so i need to put them on the Desire.

After I tune in to a station that I like and leave my phone, I will notice that my music has stopped playing. But, (sometimes) when I come back to my phone, the music will start back up. Then again, more times than none, when I come back to the phone, the program has stopped responding and I will have to restart the entire program.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI installed Handcent because of the battery drain issue, and like it a lot, but now I cannot turn off the OEM Messages program. I tried going into the Settings>Applications>Manage Applications to turn it off, and it doesn't work. I also did the "Use Handcent as default SMS" when that box first pops up. I get two different ringtone notifications too. Although I switched the ringer to the same one both through the phone's settings and through Handcent's settings.
