I seek everyones pearls of wisdom once more. I use a program called "Ringdroid" to make ringtones out of songs in my library. However, most of the time I get calls a default ringing sound is what I hear. Not always, but sometimes. Other times my custom tones work.

I downloaded Mobilo for a few songs then downloaded Ringdroid to assign them to a few contacts. My problem is when the phone rings the new ringtones sound like they are skipping and scratchy as it rings. Why would it do this?.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my wife a Hero and everything works appart for this. I have copied my MP3 files into a Music folder on the SD card. I then used ringdroid to pick one of these and convert it into a ringtone and assigned it to a contact.This created the folder /media/audio/ringtones on the SD card which contained my new ringtone. I checked the contact in the People application and the ringtone is correctly assigned to them. This ringtone is also in the dropdown list so I can manually add it to other contacts in the People application.However whenever I ring the Hero from the phone associated with this contact I always get the default ringtone and not the custom one.
I have rebooted the device and this does not make a difference.I can set the new ringtone to be the default ringtone and then it plays, but for all users.I have tried everything here, including doing a factory reset for the phone, but I just cannot get this working and this is something my wife needs.
For those of you making ringtones, are you using Ringdroid or Ringtonesia?Ringdroid is an app. Ringtonesia is a program.Which is easiest to use?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt seems like the Music Player saves the ringtone to internal memory while Ringdroid saves it to sd card.I created several thru Ringdroid and set for contact ringtones and they only worked occasionally.Most times I would get default ringtone.I removed them from sd card and created a few with Music Player and I dont see them on sd card but they do show up in the ringtones list.Hopefully they now work better being internal.Does anyone know how I could delete a ringtone from internal memory?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, Ringdroid isn't working any more.Whenever I try and cut out part of a song, no matter where it is, the song keeps playing from the beginning.I saw this link (Ringdroid help), but that didn't work.I powered off the phone for a few minutes then back on, and I have the same problem.I have an Eris with the 1.5 OS on it.I thought it was working previously, but admittedly, I don't use it all that often.Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason, perhaps the Gods above are having a good laugh at me,I just don't know. Every time I set a certain ring tone to a person's number, it does NOT stay and resorts back to the default ring tone.
I have all my ring tones on my SD card - even the default ring tone.
I have tried all kinds of fixes and I still get default ringtone for all calls even though I have set custom ringtones on my HTC Incredible.

After selecting phone call and notification tones thru Mabilo ringtones the phone says I have selected silent ringtones. Any tips or suggestions on how to get ringtones. Easy and fast preferably. I went to verizon today thinking maybe something was wrong with my phone and they suggested that I use Zedge. I downloaded it don't like it much (hard to find what your looking for)

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. I do have an abundance of navigation (gps, turn by turn, ect), some news, a widget for quick settings (wifi, bluetooth, ringer on/off, gps), Music (shazam, pandora tunee music, The house FM christian radio) Astro file manager, Emulators, facebook integration.I have noticed some coming on by themselves. Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.
I am enjoying my new phone but having trouble finding apps with up to date mp3 music/ringtones on and could someone explain how i save mp3 tracks/ringtones to my memory card.

I was getting the wrong ringtone for certain people and no notification ringtones at all. So today I go into ringdroid to edit some of the ringtones and now ringdroid wont work. I click to edit a tone and I get error reading file on any file i click on. 2.2 is REALLY annoying me about now!! I'm thinking of doing a factory reset. Anyone else having issues with ringdroid?

Everytime you recieve a call it would be a random ring tone from the list. If you have specifically set a ring tone for a specific contact, then that one will play when they call you, but if no ring tone is set...then it would pick a random one from your playlist.

It was recommended to me (before someone told me to set up my SD card differently with a media folder..it works too) to use the apps:
Zedge
Mabilio
They have both sounds and walls, with Mabilio having more just sounds and not songs
But with both you can't really download them--they are downloaded per se' but only within their own app
So I downloaded the opening to Droid Droooooiiiiiiiddd LOL
It gave me the opportunity to assign as major notification or not, or to assign as a ringtone to someone, but i could NOT use as email, sms or mms and when I went into sms or mms, I only found my folder I was speaking above with that one NOT in there
How change a folder on my sd card OR i believe my sd is fine, I think I need a new app?
