My volume just stops working for notifications and ringtones.After I take the battery out it starts to work again but then stops?I miss calls this way and dont know when im getting texted The phone also freezes alot and is slow whats the deal is there a fix? my phone came with the updated software 2.1.

I figured I would try and use Lock 2.0 on my Moment - and it works for awhile, and then all of a sudden it stops working and my lock screen goes back to the standard lock.

Recently, when I was using the browser or anything that uses the 3g connection, it would just stop communicating and nothing would get loaded. If I waited a while (an hour) it would sometimes come back or I would have to do a reboot in order to get back the connection. Anyone else running into this problem? What should I do?

My audio stops working all the sudden out of the blue. Ring, text alert, etc. just stops. the only way I can get it to start again is rebooting. Anyone else having this issue? Can i fix it?

I only get my email to show up on my inbox on my phone ONLY when i open email. I currently have it set to to check email every 5 minutes but this is obviously not happening. and i dont get a blinking LED when i get a SMS, Text message.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI fought for quite a while trying to add custom ringtones to the epic, don't know why they make it so difficult. Anyway, create a two folders on you phone called "notifications" and "ringtones" these can either be in the root dir of your sd card or nested in another folder. Apperantly it for these it searches for folder names instead of file type. I have my nested in another folder called media. I use this for all external media I add to phone.
Also remember that the phone will find pictures by file type. So any pictures you put anywhere on your sdcard will show up in gallery. This makes it real easy to create folders for sorting pics. If you don't want a certain folder to show up in the gallery just put a "." in the beginning of the name. Then when you want it to show up in the gallery go to the folder, delete the period at the beginning of the name and there it is in gallery. So folder name "confidential pics" will show in gallery but folder name ".confidential pics" wont show up in gallery. I use Astro for changing the folder names on the phone and it works pretty good.
Has anyone else noticed that on the Galaxy S, the Wifi will stop to respond after a few disconnects? I usually have wifi off to save battery, but now and then some application will turn it on and after I stop it (either using the message bar or settings) the wifi stops working. Under settings it will be greyed out and say something like "Shutting down..." but you cannot click it again, turn it on or anything else. A reboot works but thats kind of annoying.

View 9 Replies View RelatedDont know if anyone else has this problem, but during a call my touchscreen turns off, the proximity sensor stops the screen lighting up but even if i dont put the phone to my head the touchscreen stops working.
Buttons still work and i have to use them to use the dial pad. Really annoying when you are trying to navigate automated menus etc as half the time it doesnt work as they pickup too much noise from using the buttons on the front.
I'm trying to delete ringtones, I've tried Ringdroid, and astro with no success, any other suggestions?

1 - My screen brightness seems to adjust up on its own... To increase battery life I have it set all the way down...but, for example, as I was typing this post the brightness increased on its own... Any ideas?
2 - My voice recognition stops working all the time...not with one app either... Resetting my profile seems to fix it for about 5 minutes but it doesn't take long for it to go TU again

I've used the sync feature in Windows Media Player to load music, and when I go into the Music Player on the phone, they are all there, but show unknown artist, unknown albulm, whats the deal? I am a Touch Pro 2 Windows Mobile user, and there is a file which can be replaced in the main Windows directory which increases volume. Does Android have any similar trick? I am finding this info out for a friend of mine who just bought the Moment. Also, SMS tone is very short, is there any way to set it to be like a ring tone, sit no time limit?

I can connect the phone to the pc just fine and mount/unmount and copy files and such. What is bothering me is how the songs list in the player and under ringtones, seems all list the same in both places, I made a playlist, but I don't want my songs listing as ringtones. 1. When I transfer my music onto the phone how can I use them as my ringtones?
2. Is this even able to be done?
3. When transfering them, how do I find them?
If there was any app that would allow me to control volume of various other applications. One thing I really loved about my old Blackberry is I could set up a profile that muted everything except calls. When I go to sleep at night I want to be able to get a phone call in case of an emergency, but don't want to hear my email/twitter etc. Apps going off all night. Is there anything out there for my Moment that can accomplish this same thing?

Notifications work okay for a little bit if I toggle notifications off/on.. then after a day or so, nothing.
Anyone else find the notification area to be completely unreliable?
