I've downloaded some songs from my computer to my G1, next step i downloaded Ringdroid from the Android Market.When i launch the application it just says Record New >> For me to record a voice sound, i cannot access the music ringtone editor?I have tried pressing menu and touching screen but nothing?Has anyone else had same problem or am i doing something wrong?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday everytime I open my layout Editor in Eclipse for the Android UI the last part goes on and on as expected if an Stackoverflow Exception occurs.Anybody else experiencing this and found a solution?I'm working with the latests android sdk on Mac OS X with Eclipse 3.5.2.I just installed the Carbon Version of eclipse and I get this error even in this fresh copy of eclipse.Very strange that I'm the only one experiencing this error. Maybe it is not an Eclipse problem but an problem of my project setup.

The "wall paper" is easily to update. However, I can NOT find the the way to update, "Menu" key's background or the Launch screen's background (which contains all the APPs buttons and now it is black) and the other things.

I set it in Window->preferences->android->launch->default emulator options. Am I setting it in a wrong place?

I had to pay full price any ways at BB or RS due to getting palm pre in december (I cant wait to destory this horrible hardware) so it will be cheaper than the 450 plus tax i would have paid on june 4th. however will there be any differences between this version and the ones that go on sale June 4th?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI did the manual update to 2.1 yesterday and everything's great except for one issue.I have a ringtone set for my wife so that I know when she's calling but for some reason since the update it plays the default ringtone for her.I've tried deleting her contact and then manually adding the contact back, I've tried changing the ringtone to something else and then back to what I want but the problem persists. Please help, this is really frustrating.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my wife a Hero and everything works appart for this. I have copied my MP3 files into a Music folder on the SD card. I then used ringdroid to pick one of these and convert it into a ringtone and assigned it to a contact.This created the folder /media/audio/ringtones on the SD card which contained my new ringtone. I checked the contact in the People application and the ringtone is correctly assigned to them. This ringtone is also in the dropdown list so I can manually add it to other contacts in the People application.However whenever I ring the Hero from the phone associated with this contact I always get the default ringtone and not the custom one.
I have rebooted the device and this does not make a difference.I can set the new ringtone to be the default ringtone and then it plays, but for all users.I have tried everything here, including doing a factory reset for the phone, but I just cannot get this working and this is something my wife needs.
I'd like to set a new default ringtone without using the ringtone picker. In other words, there is a certain ringtone that is already installed on my system, and I want to programmatically set it to be my default ringtone without any human interaction. The reason I want this is because every time I reboot my N-1, my previous default ringtone setting gets forgotten, and I am given another ringtone that I don't like. I want to set up an app that I can run manually (or better yet, to cause to automatically run upon startup) which will reset my default ringtone to the one that I like without my having to manually do this via the Settings.
The only examples I have found so far for doing this involve using the ringtone picker, but as far as I can tell, this requires human interaction, which I want to avoid.
Ringdroid is not finding all my music. I see it with astro. Suggestions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, Ringdroid isn't working any more.Whenever I try and cut out part of a song, no matter where it is, the song keeps playing from the beginning.I saw this link (Ringdroid help), but that didn't work.I powered off the phone for a few minutes then back on, and I have the same problem.I have an Eris with the 1.5 OS on it.I thought it was working previously, but admittedly, I don't use it all that often.Any ideas?

I was getting the wrong ringtone for certain people and no notification ringtones at all. So today I go into ringdroid to edit some of the ringtones and now ringdroid wont work. I click to edit a tone and I get error reading file on any file i click on. 2.2 is REALLY annoying me about now!! I'm thinking of doing a factory reset. Anyone else having issues with ringdroid?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems like the Music Player saves the ringtone to internal memory while Ringdroid saves it to sd card.I created several thru Ringdroid and set for contact ringtones and they only worked occasionally.Most times I would get default ringtone.I removed them from sd card and created a few with Music Player and I dont see them on sd card but they do show up in the ringtones list.Hopefully they now work better being internal.Does anyone know how I could delete a ringtone from internal memory?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased my moment about 2 weeks ago and have been having fun figuring it out however there are some areas where I am having problems.
1. When you want to attach a document it selects the picture folder/area, how do you browse instead of being forced into that area.
2. I downloaded ringtone app and have found the app quite useful, the problem I am having is, the ringtones I have created don't show up in all the ringtone areas of my phone, what needs to be done to correct this.
3. The basic user guide that comes with the phone says there is an app I can download called samsung new pc studio. When I call sprint or samsung they say this app is not available or can't be used by a casd(the u.s. standard, I think casd is right), they say this software is only for the other standard, I did find this app on the web. Is what sprint and samsung saying true if not can I use the ones I found on the web.
4. If you could choose only ten apps to have(free)which ones would you choose?
I used the htc ringtone trimmed for one of the song in my music library on my phone and I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this but how are you able to delete these ringtones when you no longer want them? The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. I've searched in the forums and I havnt found a solution to it.

When she stored them they were given default names. I was able to make the appropriate ringtone associations, except for voicemail. I have 2 questions:
1. How do you set a ringtone for voicemail? When I run the standard voicemail app (Verizon) I cannot being up a menu.
2. How do I change the name of a ringtone file?

But when I am in Settings for Notification Ringtones, I do not see the mp3 I added but only in Calling Ringtones. Why is this? I want to use the same ringtone for notifications too!.
