View 4 RepliesI have been having the problem of the music player not displaying embedded album art. To fix this I tried Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Media Storage, then clicked "Clear Data"
I was told this would make the music player "rescan" for tracks and update the player. DON'T DO THIS ON THE INCREDIBLE! It caused the music player to not find anything on the internal storage.
It seems like the Music Player saves the ringtone to internal memory while Ringdroid saves it to sd card.I created several thru Ringdroid and set for contact ringtones and they only worked occasionally. Most times I would get default ringtone.I removed them from sd card and created a few with Music Player and I dont see them on sd card but they do show up in the ringtones list.Hopefully they now work better being internal.Does anyone know how I could delete a ringtone from internal memory?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI take my phone everywhere with me, usually on my hip in a holster of some type. The headphone jack on the Dinc represents a substantial port of entry for dirt and moisture. I know I had an LG flip phone years ago that make with a rubber plug to prevent such substances from entering.
I am hoping that someone here has a solution for the Dinc, and hopefully available at say, Lowes, instead of ordering a $0.10 piece of rubber off the internets. It doesn't have to be a "headphone jack plug" per se, but something that will work just the same?
free Android app that enables users to create their own ringtones directly from their Android powered device. Ringdroid allows users to quickly and easily create ringtones from MP3, WAV, and ARM files that are loaded onto the phone direct from the SD card. Use RingDroid to edit MP3, WAV, and AMR audio files and create ringtones, alarms, and notifications from them. Create your own ringtone by editing music tracks in your library, or record a new one directly from the phone. New version 2.4 fixes bugs related to assigning a ringtone to a contact and adds support for additional global locales. Minimum Android system version is 1.6 (donut); also works in 2.0 (eclair) and 2.2 (froyo).Ringdroid Features: Open an existing audio file View a scrollable waveform representation of the audio file at 5 zoom levels Set starting and ending points for a clip within the audio file, using an optional touch interface Play the selected portion of the audio, including an indicator cursor and autoscrolling of the waveform Play anywhere else by tapping the screen Save the clipped audio as a new audio file and mark it as Music, Ringtone, Alarm, or Notification. Record a new audio clip to edit Delete audio (with confirmation alert) Ringdroid is missing the ability to fade in and out, loop, and equalize song selections, but its ease of use and flexibility in saving audio snippets as more than just ringtones make it an instant must-have app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, Ringdroid isn't working any more.Whenever I try and cut out part of a song, no matter where it is, the song keeps playing from the beginning.I saw this link (Ringdroid help), but that didn't work.I powered off the phone for a few minutes then back on, and I have the same problem.I have an Eris with the 1.5 OS on it.I thought it was working previously, but admittedly, I don't use it all that often.Any ideas?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI seek everyones pearls of wisdom once more. I use a program called "Ringdroid" to make ringtones out of songs in my library. However, most of the time I get calls a default ringing sound is what I hear. Not always, but sometimes. Other times my custom tones work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was having issues with ringtones and notifications, they just weren't working after 2.2. I was getting the wrong ringtone for certain people and no notification ringtones at all. So today I go into ringdroid to edit some of the ringtones and now ringdroid wont work. I click to edit a tone and I get error reading file on any file i click on. 2.2 is REALLY annoying me about now!! I'm thinking of doing a factory reset. Anyone else having issues with ringdroid?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set custom text sounds with Ringdroid, but I'm having an issue. When I create the file, it shows up if I want to set it as the default for all text messages. However, when I go to choose it for a specific contact, the file doesn't show up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my wife a Hero and everything works appart for this. I have copied my MP3 files into a Music folder on the SD card. I then used ringdroid to pick one of these and convert it into a ringtone and assigned it to a contact. This created the folder /media/audio/ringtones on the SD card which contained my new ringtone. I checked the contact in the People application and the ringtone is correctly assigned to them. This ringtone is also in the dropdown list so I can manually add it to other contacts in the People application. However whenever I ring the Hero from the phone associated with this contact I always get the default ringtone and not the custom one.
I have rebooted the device and this does not make a difference.I can set the new ringtone to be the default ringtone and then it plays, but for all users.I have tried everything here, including doing a factory reset for the phone, but I just cannot get this working and this is something my wife needs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust curious if there is an app, like itunes, that we can purchase music, tv shows, movies. Clearly I'm new to Android, so this may be a stupid question, so I apologize in advance, but I didn't see anything, and there doesn't seem to be a way to purchase music from the stock music application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been researching for some time now, but have yet to come up with an actual fix. I have my Incredible paired with my Altima and can make calls via Bluetooth with no problem. My question is, how can I wirelessly stream music or Pandora from my phone to my car (Altima does not have an aux jack). I know my car is capable because I was able to do this with my old Blackberry (exactly how I don't remember, it was an intricate process of pressing random buttons).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell i plan on developing for android now and figure i'd sign up.I've only had it only for like 1.5 days now, installed a few apps here or there. Well i installed pandora and have pandora one, i've also bluetooth'd it to my car stereo on the way home yesterday.Well tonite i was messing around it some more and noticed there are about 8 songs that i didn't download or transfer in the HTC Music player, they are songs/artist that i've possibly listen to in pandora. I'm not sure if pandora downloads songs and the htc player picked found them. So i tried to play a couple songs, skip a few and nothing new appeared in the htc player.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSorry if this is somewhere in the threads. I couldn't find it. On my moto droid, there was an app called amazon marketplace I think. With it, you could easily buy music to play on the droid without having to sync to a pc with music. I remember watching a re viewer's video that talked about how the incredible does not have the amazon app, and therefore, you will only be able to sync music--not buy. Is this true? Is there no app that allows you to purchase from amazon anymore?
View 8 Replies View RelatedDownloaded and installed 6.1 and although I do like it and love the battery life it seems very laggy when scrolling the screen. When I scroll down the application list or within the browers or just any application that involves scrolling the scroll is not smooth it seems very jerky.I tried the stable version 6.0.2 I think it was from Rom manager but that seemed to be worse.I wiped and cleared cache everytime I have flashed it, not sure if there is a step I am missing.Does anyone else have this issue or could anyone point me in the direction of something I might have missed?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy brother has a Iphone and there is a app called pin pal lite. Its a bowling score / statistic keeper. For instance we bowl 2 nights a week in a league and he enters in what he did that frame every frame. The app breaks down how often you leave splits, throw strikes, pick up a certain pin. I was wondering if there is anything like that for the droid. I dont feel like spending 200 on a ipod touch to get this. I have looked for many hours and found nothing..
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I spent a couple hours helping a friend root his CLIQ (which was WAY harder than rooting my Droid BTW). We had trouble finding a ROM that we liked. Are there any ROMs built on 2.1 for the CLIQ? Or is there a way to flash the stock 2.1 version onto his phone now? What we've done so far is:
1) Root the phone using the weird french orange update.zip
2) Flash the custom recovery.img
3) Installed a ROM that he's not entirely pleased with, I was expecting to be able to just install ROM Manager on his phone and pick out a ROM like I did on my Droid.
