For whatever reason, perhaps the Gods above are having a good laugh at me,I just don't know. Every time I set a certain ring tone to a person's number, it does NOT stay and resorts back to the default ring tone.
I have all my ring tones on my SD card - even the default ring tone.

I download from the Market custom ringtones. I then link them to names in the Address book. Sometimes they work other times they don't. Goes directly to the Default Ringtone. Anyone have this happen to them? Are the ringtone Apps no good? This is for an HTC EVO 4G

After selecting phone call and notification tones thru Mabilo ringtones the phone says I have selected silent ringtones. Any tips or suggestions on how to get ringtones. Easy and fast preferably. Don't want to have to download and clip from that.

I went to verizon today thinking maybe something was wrong with my phone and they suggested that I use Zedge. I downloaded it don't like it much (hard to find what your looking for)

My volume just stops working for notifications and ringtones.After I take the battery out it starts to work again but then stops?I miss calls this way and dont know when im getting texted The phone also freezes alot and is slow whats the deal is there a fix? my phone came with the updated software 2.1.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. What is going on here? I have lookout AVP app loaded and running at all times.List on my runnng apps on EVO:

I do have an abundance of navigation (gps, turn by turn, ect), some news, a widget for quick settings (wifi, bluetooth, ringer on/off, gps), Music (shazam, pandora tunee music, The house FM christian radio) Astro file manager, Emulators, facebook integration.I have noticed some coming on by themselves. Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.
I am enjoying my new phone but having trouble finding apps with up to date mp3 music/ringtones on and could someone explain how i save mp3 tracks/ringtones to my memory card.

Play store says 'server error'
Gmail says 'waiting for sync, your emails will appear shorly'
Sounds like my internet is broken? ITS NOT. whatsapp and opera mini, web browser is still working 100% and able to connect
I have tried:
turning sync of and on
clear the cache of various google apps
turning the phone off and on
The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.
Had WiFi working earlier now it has stopped but laptop still working ok?

They were all NOT what I chose..but were different sounds and songs altogether. On my SD card I made a directory media/audio/ringtones. when I tried to set a custom ringtone for a contact it didn't list the ones I put on the card. View 4 Replies View RelatedI converted a ton of songs on my Pre into ringtones. I like to get goofy with custom ringtones for people. So, when backing everything up in advance of moving from the Pre to the Evo I also saved the ringtones folder from the Pre.
I've conncted to the "drive" on the Evo via the USB cable just like I did for the Pre, and I see a Music folder, but I don't see a Ringtones folder. Is there no way to just dump all my old ringtones onto the Evo so I don't have to convert each one all over again?
I got my HTC EVO yesterday and I have a bunch of ringtones from my Palm Pre I want to add to the EVO. I plugged in the phone and browsed the card but I cant find a place where to drop them where the EVO will recognize them as ringtones to browse from the phone to change email, text, ect notifications. And Im not sure how to attach ringtones to contacts either.
I also remember seeing here and commercials that you can type using Swype. I cant find how to do that. The reps at sprint yesterday tried to get me to swap for the Samsung Epic. Its a nice phone. I really wish I had them side by side. But swype isnt a deal breaker.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to get a ringtone from myxer but everytime i download a ringtone it downloads as a .gcd file and therefore not useable as a ringtone. I had it delivered via text and i even signed on myxer using my phone directly with no luck. i know i can use the mp3 player on the phone to make rigntones but i like myxer a little better. anyone have any suggestions??
