View 4 RepliesIs there any way to transfer my Treo notes to my Hero? Also, is there any way to get rid of Facebook and similar stuff...sprint bloatware?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?
I take videos on the HTC Hero, connect the phone to PC, then drag videos from phone to desktop. They come out as .3gp files. When I try to play them back, each program either crashes (Quicktime, VLC), or tells me that it cannot playback this type of codec (Windows Media Player). The videos playback fine on the phone, just not when I bring them over to my PC.I am running Android 2.1 and Vista. Any help is appreciated.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI heard that android phones can cut edit and even add special effects to video right on ur phone . Is that true?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone died in the middle of taking video. Came home a couple hours later, plugged my phone into the charger. I turned the phone on, after it was plugged in. My phone froze during the little HTC and Hero intro. After the freeze, it was back on, but my screens were all back to factory settings! It also asked me to calibrate my keyboard, and the little popup bubbles to guide the user with their "new phone" came up! All my apps were gone!! I lost ALL of my contacts! The only thing that stayed was my pictures and videos. It doesn't make any sense to me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI did not see any thread related to this. I have taken a few videos using the camcorder in HTC Hero. But I am not able to play it in my phone or couldn't find any software to convert to other formats.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought Touch by HTC when it was first released and now I absolutely hate this phone. So after some research I decided to join in and get the Hero. However, I was wondering how to transfer contacts from my winmo HTC Touch to a Hero?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Motorola Droid and I have to say that, while I am not easily impressed by anything, I am quite impressed with it. It is my first Android-based phone, so I am still learning the ropes. My question is this: When I take a video with my Droid, how do I transfer it to my computer? I tried emailing the video, but no attachments went thru. Is there a way to export it via USB, etc.? I know they can be sent straight to youtube if there is wifi available, but I want to send it to the computer for viewing, forwarding, burning to dvd, etc. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot find an automatic or manual setting to send the phone book over.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I purchase a new SD card, what is the easiest way to transfer everything to the new card? Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? I am also curious how to backup the entire device prior to the 2.0 update coming. It seems like the 2.0 update will require flashing the phone. I assume it will erase everything? I wonder if sprint will provide an easy way to "upgrade" to 2.0 without losing everything on the phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried a few different players from the market including a few that I had to use an app installer to install. So far I have had no luck playing AVI's & MVA's, does anyone know if Android 2.0 includes a universal player like VLC? If not is anyone working on a player? I understand you can convert files to MP4 & 3GP but I would rather find something that can just play the standard format my camera records in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is the first phone I've owned with video capture available (LG Rumor, Instinct, Pre) and I notice there are a variety of settings available when it comes to video. One video I had recorded earlier today seemed more choppy with the exact same settings than another I took yesterday, the only difference I could really note was there was much more light in today's video. So is there a secret to beautiful video every time?
