Is there a way to transfer my Facebook Contacts into my people contacts? When I upgraded to 2.1, I forgot to sync a few contacts. The names show up, but as Facebook contacts and I want them as people contacts. Also, is there a way to delete Facebook contacts?

I have to say that this default Application is truly simple and easy to deal with, and that makes it all the more significant in my view. However, I am running into an odd problem, and I would like to see if anyone has had the same experience, and/or could offer their assistance in this matter.
I have linked all of my contacts to their FB profiles, and all seems to work extremely well. However, for reasons beyond my understanding, when I attempt to click on the "Album" icon (To view the photographs of a FB Friend), this App. always makes me go through a "Force Close". This ONLY happens with ONE of my contacts though, as with every other contact I still retain the ability to view their FB Photo Albums. I was thinking that the one contact in question here, possibly has too many photographs for this App. to handle(?), but I can get it to work on a very rare occasion despite such.
I would really like to hear from folks in regard to this issue, because it's puzzling, and somewhat irritating.
I have rebooted, and I have also taken the particular FB profile off of my contact list, and then re-applied it (All to no avail).
Here is the error message:
I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. When I try to open a Facebook contact, the people app keeps force closing and restarting.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHad the g2 touch / hero for a few days now and love it but today I have a problem with contacts being duplicated in the people app. All of my contacts are stored in Gmail and there are no dupes but today all of my contacts with a facebook profile are showing twice. Also, and I don't know if this is related, the people app no longer shows any albums for facebook contacts although they are there if I access them through the albums app.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Hero yesterday and had the Sprint store transfer my contacts from my AT&T sim card. Everything seemed to work fine except when he looked in the "people" icon, nothing was there. So after a few more tries I left. When I got home, I noticed that all my sim card contacts, including my Facebook contacts, were visible when I hit the "phone" icon. My question is, how do I get my contacts in the "people" icon? I want them on the first tab "all". I was able to get one of my contacts in the "favorites" tab but it takes too long to get there. I want to hit "people" and see all my contacts right away.

I've only been an Android/HTC Hero user for about a week now, and have a weird thing happening with my Hero. I've probably done something to cause this, but, I can't figure it out.
I have several contacts in my People list, and most of them have multiple phone numbers listed with them. When I choose People, and then say my sister, who has two mobile numbers, a work number and a home number, I get a small detailed card that pretty much fills the screen and allows me to choose a number to call mobile, call home, call work, then it says send message to each number, send email.
But, say when I choose my wife, I can only Call Other, Edit Contact, Delete Contact and Send Contact as vCard.
It didn't used to do this. It used to give me these choices for my wife too. My wife has a home number, a cell number, a truck number, I need to be able to text her cell, etc. Basically, I need the same options for her as I have for my sister.
I have the same issue with many of my contacts. I don't know what happened to cause this. Any help fixing this would be much appreciated. Hopefully, I won't have to do a master reset to do so!
Is there any way to have the phone import profile pictures for the contacts currently in your phonebook without it adding all of the random people that you are friends with?
View 1 Replies View Relatedanyone experience this within the last hour or so?I noticed that i had to sign back into my account on "Social Networking" in settings, but nothing is syncing back up. they are all still sync'd (if you go into a contact on the computer, there is a "note" in the "notes" section showing the link), but nothing is showing up. I'm guessing eventually it will download everything again and I just need to give it time, and I'm also sure it's a Facebook issue thing, since they just updated and tweaked their UI, but i was curious if anyone else noticed this.

I am signed in to Facebook through "Facebook for HTC Sense" (when I click "Add Account" and choose "Facebook," it won't do anything) but when I go to a contact and try to link to a friend, there is no one on the list. I have tried logging out and back in, then restarting the phone, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Also, is anyone else having the keyboard refuse to work when trying to send a text?

View 14 Replies View RelatedSince the last update, in my people app, which lists all my contacts, anyone with a facebook profile shows up twice. There are two identical entries, one after another, listed throughout all my contacts.
This is a gigantic PITA since it's effectively added another %50 to my contacts, making it more difficult to scroll thorough and choose a contact.
I'm running 2.1 on my Sprint HTC Hero and I didn't have any problems syncing my contacts to their Facebook accounts.
My problem is, is that the phone took every friend off Facebook and put them in my contacts. How do I take that off. I don't need all 856 of my facebook friends in my phone. And to make it worse half of the numbers are like 1-800-Ask-Me.
I hate how my fb is linked to my phone. I dont like how I get all of my friends on fb as contacts. I dont need all that!! I went to people> menu> and then unselected facebook and stuff on there. So in my contact list, my fb friends contacts dont show.. GREAT!
But if I go to home screen and press phone. and if I scroll all the way to the bottom, the fb friends are all still there... How do I delete them? I long press and there is no delete contact option. I deleted all data on my phone of any fb stuff. What else can i do?
Im not sure what i did to cause this, but after syncing my phone today, I got my facebook friends' phone numbers added to my contacts. I went into the settings to delete the FB account on my phone, yet the people are still there. at first I thought it was kinda cool to have them all there, but its really a PITA. anyone know how to get rid of them from my contacts?

1) why can't I link my contacts with facebook? I'm not talking about syncing them I'm talking about linking them so that their profile pics come up on under "people" on my phone, every other ROM I've used does this just fine but Zen does not for some reason.
2) Do I need an app from the market to see how fast my processor is running? I've seen where some people have run into troubles of having their processor redlined all the time

So my profile pics aren't matching up to what my Facebook contacts have currently as their default pics. It was syncing them fine up until recently. Haven't don't anything different that I know of on my hero. My setting for sync are on for Facebook. I'm running 2.0d

In my phonebook, by that I mean the People app, I used to only show my Phone contacts and hide the SIM contacts.
Since I've upgraded, the only options I have in the View option in People is Google or Phone. But my SIM contacts are also shown, and I want to hide them.
i use google contacts to sync my personal numbers to my phone but for some reason everytime i email someone from somewhere like craigslist that anonymous address is saved to my contacts? wtf? how do i stop this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn my previous phone I could set different ringtones for those in my contacts list and then another ringtone for those numbers not in my contacts list so I could tell by the ringtone if someone was calling that was in my contacts list or not.On the Hero there doesn't seem to be any way to do this.I was also able to set different volume levels for various notifications (ie, louder for phone calls and quieter for email and sms notifications).Does anyone know if this is possible on the hero?
