Oct 14, 2009I am attempting to take the text messages from my old Treo into my new Hero(Sprint). So far I have gotten as far as being able to pull the texts out into a csv and/or xml file via a Jeyo application. Is it possible to somehow get these text messages recognized as real texts via the Hero?

Jan 16, 2010I have been using a Palm PDA for more than 15 years and have a mountain of Data in there that I don't want to lose when I buy my next, more advanced Cell/PDA system. My first choice for a new device is the GooglePhone2.
1) Does GPhone2 have all the features I want = Addresses, Memos, Calendar and ToDo/Tasks?
2) If yes, can someone direct me to a link where I can transfer all my Palm Data to a GPhone2 if/when I buy it?

Apr 29, 2010I have used Palm for years. I have over 500 contacts on my 755p. I will not get a Droid if I have to manually transfer all of my contacts. Apr 23, 2010So I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?

Sprint HTC Hero :: Best Notes Application / Sync Data Is Encrypted
Jul 31, 2010For those of us Palm fans who have been searching for an application for notes/memo pad that can sync easily to the phone and laptop, the best one I have found so far is B-Folders. I have created notes on my laptop, edited them, deleted etc., then sync through WiFi to my HTC Hero easily. All notes are synced exactly, no duplicates, no weird stuff going on - and if I delete a note on my laptop, then it is deleted on my phone. It is phenomenal except that you can't yet sync using your cable (i.e. you always need Internet access to sync your phones). So this morning, Saturday 31 July, about 8.45 am, I emailed the company who makes it (Welcome to JointLogic!) and asked them when would we be able to sync with a cable i.e. direct to the computer without using internet. Less than 15 minutes later I got a response (remember, this is a Saturday morning): which was:
We are working on USB sync and we aim to make it available before the end of August. Until then you will be able to sync when there is a network connection. You can safely use public WiFi hot-sopts because the sync data is encrypted. How is that for great customer service. the app on your phone is free, but if you want it on your computer and to be able to sync, it will be around $29.99 but in my eyes, well worth it. There's nothing else out there like this as far as I can tell.

Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? I am also curious how to backup the entire device prior to the 2.0 update coming. It seems like the 2.0 update will require flashing the phone. I assume it will erase everything? Jul 5, 2010I have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?
