Nov 4, 2012i have installed the 4.2 camera app on my galaxy nexus and i cant find the facial effects/ backgrounds like the ics and jelly bean camera apps had? did they remove it completely or just hid it somewhere?

Apr 25, 2010I've noticed a special ringtone that is used when your SD card is mounted to your PC. I like it, and would like to use it for my default ringtone, but it doesn't seem to be an option, nor can I find it anywhere in the file system. Also, when I asked the folks at HTC where the file was located, they conveniently dodged my question and and told me how to add new ringtones to my SD card. (not surprised).

May 27, 2010I take videos on the HTC Hero, connect the phone to PC, then drag videos from phone to desktop. They come out as .3gp files.When I try to play them back, each program either crashes (Quicktime, VLC), or tells me that it cannot playback this type of codec (Windows Media Player).The videos playback fine on the phone, just not when I bring them over to my PC.I am running Android 2.1 and Vista. Any help is appreciated.

Apr 11, 2014an Alcateo OT 6030X (which is known around here as Orange San Remo - I'm from Romania). I just bought the phone a few days ago from someone, and while everything seemed fine at first, I came across a problem with its video camera.
When I switch to video, I get an icon on the top of the screen that allows me to select some video effect [big moth, big eyes, stretched face], but when I activate one of them, the camera just freezes, and sometimes the whole phone too. I tried a full factory reset the other days and everything worked correctly until last night. I even checked that specific feature yesteday morning and it was working perfectly, but last night it just froze again. I did install some apps I commonly use yesterday, so my suspicion is that one of the apps is to blame. I have attached the details of my phone, as well as all the apps I currently have.

Feb 19, 2010My phone died in the middle of taking video. Came home a couple hours later, plugged my phone into the charger. I turned the phone on, after it was plugged in. My phone froze during the little HTC and Hero intro. After the freeze, it was back on, but my screens were all back to factory settings! It also asked me to calibrate my keyboard, and the little popup bubbles to guide the user with their "new phone" came up! All my apps were gone!! I lost ALL of my contacts! The only thing that stayed was my pictures and videos. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Oct 27, 2009If you guys are still suffering from this issue upgrade to the Maintenance Release, it fixes it for the most part, except for the occasional failure to connect. No ROM leak though.During the past few weeks my my Hero has been exhibiting signs of a ROM memory leak. It led to not being able to receive SMS messages even after hard resetting the phone. See these threads for that issue.
