I purchased a new Sprint HTC Hero a couple of days ago.I have been pleased except for one small problem. While I can get the Hero to connect to my Chrysler Uconnect handsfree system over bluetooth, it does not seem to transfer the phone book over to the device. I cannot find an automatic or manual setting to send the phone book over.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?

View 27 Replies View RelatedWhen my car bluetooth downloads the phonebook from my captivate, it downloads some contacts, but doesn't download the ones from my exchange server. They show up fine in the contacts app, but the car doesn't receive them. I thought it might be an issue with the way they were put into the contacts, so I undid the built in android exchange account, deleted the contacts, then installed touchdown and populated it that way. Still no joy. I thought that originally it was downloading them correctly (using the built in exchange sync) but either stopped working correctly, or never was and I just now noticed it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFound a few threads about people having problems transferring their phonebook to their hands free kit in their automobile. Had the same problem myself - was able to connect and pair with the car kit. I was able to make and receive calls, but didn't have the phonebook.
Then yesterday, while setting in the car, I was going to re-pair the connection between the phone and car I noticed that in the Notification Bar that the car was asking permission to receive the phonebook from the phone. Opened the Notification and granted permission and clicked on always grant access (or something similar). Phonebook was then transfered. Haven't had a problem with it since...
This app is kinda vanished in the thin air and could not find it anywhere, even though it is listed on the Market site. Do any one know how to get this on the Sprint HTC Hero?

I went into the settings to delete the FB account on my phone, yet the people are still there. at first I thought it was kinda cool to have them all there, but its really a PITA. anyone know how to get rid of them from my contacts?

I have searched the market but that ones that I found only organize the contacts. Most will let you edit the contact but uses the standard app for editing. I know that the Samsung Moment can add many so maybe there is app out there.

This is a real pain trying to look in different places for a name to call. Is there a setting that I can change to stop this? I haven't found anything so far.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a simple handsfree bluetooth carkit, wich works as a simple bt headset, transfers call audio to car speakers and nothin more, doesnt sync messages nor contacts, just a simple pair&go.
I had a sonyericson x-10 mini pro with android 2.1 that worked just fine, recently i've aquired a bq aquaris 5hd with jelly bean 4.2.1, and i cant get bluetooth to stay connected.
what happens is, i pair the two devices just fine, but then, they just remain connected for some secs and then connection is disabled, rendering the handsfee kits useless. i reconnect, after some secs it disconnects again. been reading on internet and it seems its a common problem with JB 4.2.1, these bluetooth issues.
I meet some problem while using cupcake bluetooth handsfree.
1. Phone only can pair with pin "0000" BT headset automatically, but never pair succeed with headset with pin "1234" (never prompt pin code dialog for input?)
2. Connecting BT headset always fail if the BT headset only suport HFP/ HSP profile(on A2DP). Any one familiar it?
I'm having difficulty with my Bluetooth connection to the in car handsfree kit. Xperia X10 and Sony Ericsson HCB-700. Whilst I can receive calls, the phone book is unaccessible.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to this forum and have just purchased a BNIB Hero locked to Orange,Rom Ver: 2.73.61.66.I am not much phone or PC savy but am learning.This is my first Android Phone.I discovered this site last night and spent a few hours reading, what a great site.Managed to set up a Google link, up loaded a bar scanner and scanned a couple of apps off this site, excellent.Unfortunately also spent a few hours trying to transfer a blue-tooth file from my existing phone to the Hero, to eventually find out the Orange Hero is not set up for this, I was truly amazed at this news.I am able to pair both devises, just the transfer won't take place.I searched this site and the web for an application that will allow me to do this, can anyone suggest one.

It works great! Sound is awesome, and it connects both BT Audio and BT phone.
Here's the problem I'm having... In trying to copy the phonebook to the head unit.
When I start the transfer, nothing happens. No notification on the droid, or anything at all.
While further troubleshooting, I took a look at the Bluetooth Status screen. It shows XPLOD: Connected Audio & Phone.
When I start the PB transfer (from the Xplod) -- It shows:
XPLOD: Paired, but not connected.
I try to reconnect them, but until I exit the PB Transfer screen on the Xplod, it just won't connect.
I was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Is there a newer App available? Also text message fowarding, How would this be done? Would you have to create a group of contacts first for this?

I knew that voice dialling isn't support - why on earth not though?
I've just paired it with my BT car stereo, and I have also discovered that it doesn't download the phonebook to the stereo like it did from my TyTN II!
So how am I supposed to dial in the car!? I'm handsfree but to dial I can't voicedial or scroll through the phonebook, so the only option is to hope the number is in my received/missed/dialled calls, or pull over and dial it from my phone manually.
Is there any chance that this will appear in a future update?
Is their any way to output the voice prompts from google navigation to my normal bluetooth handsfree? It works fine for phone calls, but id like it to cut the music and prompt me for turns etc.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI found a few threads about the D3 and nothing with the f900BT. So here is one that is specific. Also none, of those for the D3 was for the Incredible. I paired the Incredible with the AVIC successfully. However, when I try to import the contacts I quickly get an error pop up that reads "No Telephone Number" and it fails. This has me very confused and I have tried repairing the phone several times to get it to work with no success. If anyone has been able to pair their Incredible with this b900BT head unit and import their contacts successfully, I have the latest 3.00001 download installed on my AVIC.
