As the title says: just got new vehicle w/ BT. instead of manually entering numbers, can i do a BT transfer? the vehicle (Nissan Pathfinder) has option to "Transfer Contact" via BT, but can't seem to find option to send via Hero.

Is there a way to transfer my Facebook Contacts into my people contacts? When I upgraded to 2.1, I forgot to sync a few contacts. The names show up, but as Facebook contacts and I want them as people contacts. Also, is there a way to delete Facebook contacts?

While I can get the Hero to connect to my Chrysler Uconnect handsfree system over bluetooth, it does not seem to transfer the phone book over to the device. I cannot find an automatic or manual setting to send the phone book over.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?

Listening to music wirelessly is not an issue, but I used to be able to see the song that was playing on my CX-9's LCD display. (That's when I was using a rooted Droid Bionic running a custom ROM). But I've since upgraded to an HTC Rezound and lost the ability to see the current song that's playing on my phone.
Is this an issue with the Bluetooth version? Music player? Both???
I bought the Droid and they were clueless about how to transfer contacts. I tried connecting them via bluetooth and they pair but don't connect. After searching it seems Android only uses bluetooth for headsets. Does anybody know how to make this work via bluetooth or have any other solution for me?

I have since updated Android 1.6 and again repaired that update and lost all the contacts. Now when I try to Bluetooth them over I just get all the names and no numbers.
Is there anyway I can fix this? I tried getting all the contacts onto the sim card, but no luck.

I'm new to this forum and have just purchased a BNIB Hero locked to Orange,Rom Ver: 2.73.61.66.I am not much phone or PC savy but am learning.This is my first Android Phone.I discovered this site last night and spent a few hours reading, what a great site.Managed to set up a Google link, up loaded a bar scanner and scanned a couple of apps off this site, excellent.Unfortunately also spent a few hours trying to transfer a blue-tooth file from my existing phone to the Hero, to eventually find out the Orange Hero is not set up for this, I was truly amazed at this news.I am able to pair both devises, just the transfer won't take place.I searched this site and the web for an application that will allow me to do this, can anyone suggest one.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Is there a newer App available? Also text message fowarding, How would this be done? Would you have to create a group of contacts first for this?

I knew that voice dialling isn't support - why on earth not though?
I've just paired it with my BT car stereo, and I have also discovered that it doesn't download the phonebook to the stereo like it did from my TyTN II!
So how am I supposed to dial in the car!? I'm handsfree but to dial I can't voicedial or scroll through the phonebook, so the only option is to hope the number is in my received/missed/dialled calls, or pull over and dial it from my phone manually.
Is there any chance that this will appear in a future update?
All my contacts are saved to the Hero. I want them on the sim so that I can transfer them to another phone but cannot find how to. Any ideas please?

Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn my previous phone I could set different ringtones for those in my contacts list and then another ringtone for those numbers not in my contacts list so I could tell by the ringtone if someone was calling that was in my contacts list or not.On the Hero there doesn't seem to be any way to do this.I was also able to set different volume levels for various notifications (ie, louder for phone calls and quieter for email and sms notifications).Does anyone know if this is possible on the hero?
