View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried a few different players from the market including a few that I had to use an app installer to install. So far I have had no luck playing AVI's & MVA's, does anyone know if Android 2.0 includes a universal player like VLC? If not is anyone working on a player? I understand you can convert files to MP4 & 3GP but I would rather find something that can just play the standard format my camera records in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI take videos on the HTC Hero, connect the phone to PC, then drag videos from phone to desktop. They come out as .3gp files. When I try to play them back, each program either crashes (Quicktime, VLC), or tells me that it cannot playback this type of codec (Windows Media Player). The videos playback fine on the phone, just not when I bring them over to my PC.I am running Android 2.1 and Vista. Any help is appreciated.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is the first phone I've owned with video capture available (LG Rumor, Instinct, Pre) and I notice there are a variety of settings available when it comes to video. One video I had recorded earlier today seemed more choppy with the exact same settings than another I took yesterday, the only difference I could really note was there was much more light in today's video. So is there a secret to beautiful video every time?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf you guys are still suffering from this issue upgrade to the Maintenance Release, it fixes it for the most part, except for the occasional failure to connect. No ROM leak though.During the past few weeks my my Hero has been exhibiting signs of a ROM memory leak. It led to not being able to receive SMS messages even after hard resetting the phone. See these threads for that issue.
View 36 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed improvements to the Hero camcorder video quality under Android 2.1? I thought I remember hearing that the upgrade might improve this. It's not a big deal, but I was hoping the recorded video would be smoother than the 15 fps under the 1.5 OS. I don't see a difference, but wanted to hear some other opinions.

The video also gives me the option to play it as a WMV, when I download the WMV version it wont play. All it does is play the audio, the actual video won't play.
