Anyone know where the moments wallpaper gallery images are stored? I can't find em on the SDCard. I'm also trying to add my own custom images that I've put on the card and every time I set them as my wallpaper they seem soooo zoomed in? I've tried resizing them from 1600 to like 480xwhatever and I still get the same results.

Under gallery, I've tried setting wallpaper from images stored. I'm experiencing two problems:
1) When using the green border to select the part of the image I'd like, it never stretches to the full size of the image. It maxes out at about half the size of any image.
2) Once cropped after clicking set as wallpaper, the wallpaper shows way too zoomed in and I lose at least half the image I cropped.
I've been searching on this forum for hours now and can't seem to find any information on a work-around for cropping images for the wallpaper on my Samsung Moment. I've tried "Wallpaper Set & Save" and it just crops it automatically. I just installed the ADW Home Launcher and I can get up to 7 screens on it... but for some reason, my phone still wants to perform as if it's running on 3 screens. So it just automatically crops it.

maybe it's because I'm spoiled with my Hero. My wife just got the moment and I really dislike the SMS UI. Its all black, and just says ME: Other Persons name: no avatar etc. Anyone know if theres a way to show the contacts avatar/image just like the Hero? I hate to install handcent for functionality that basically already exists by default. I Know it doesnt have popup's etc like handcent, but unless theres another app out there? I just hate to install app after app taking up memory.

I went to the Sprint store and a service center and both agreed mine was overheating so I am getting a new one. One person at Sprint said they were shipping with 2.1 but the other seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. Does anyone know? I would assume that they are, but it is a pretty recent update.

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy mobile is xolo q800, see my attachments in 100 % zoom .1st image shows a comparison between the original pic (left side) and the same pic as my phone wallpaper (right side) with no cropping and scrollable taken by default screenshot (hold vol- and power button simultaneously). i have marked the problem areas with black circles for u to compare notice the scar below the eyes appears smudged in my phone...the same pic looks good without smudging when viewed with astro file manager or quickpic....but even when i set the same pic from quickpic(no smudging in quickpic app) as the wallpaper....the wallpaper looks smudged again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created an application that show around 250 images in ImageView. Images are loaded one after another, 15-30 images per second. Basically the whole thing gives an illusion of a rotating 3D object, at least it should.
The problem is next, app hangs when loading certain images(i.e. I see a few seconds of fluid animation and then animation hangs, jump 10-15 frames(images) ahead and continues. It always happens at the same places in animation cycle.
I though that Android might not have enough resources to handle something like this, so I've resized images to half their size, but it did't help. I've tried buffering images but that did't help either(actually, maybe a little, I think that animation looks a little bit smoother).
And now the weirdest thing. I use the touch screen to allow users to "rotate" the 3D object on those images, and while rotating I again experience those hangs at exactly the same places as with the animation.
All images are in .png format and their size vary from 15kB to 40kB.

How can I make it so that only the images are displayed when I go to 'Galllery' on my Galaxy S? It currently displays all music as well as all images. Failing that, is there a good image viewer available?

My O2 UK i7500 will not load pictures from the gallery, when changing wallpapers (I basically can't), Picture Frames widget, even Astro's built in viewer returns a message "(whichever activity) in (application whichever -usu. camera?) has stopped responding." Force close.

When I try to set a wallpaper from my own gallery, it only allows me to select a specific part of the picture. For example on the iphone I could resize the selection to fit the screen as much as I wanted. But the captivate sets a box and i cant make it bigger or smaller to select the entire wallpaper. and also doesn't matter how high res the picture is, it always looks blurry. Unlike the stock wallpapers, they look super sharp and clear. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how to fix it so i can choose to display an entire picture as my wallpaper rather than just a small portion?

I want to send friends some images on mms!And when I turn it to landscape mode, the list is even shorter! It won't allow me to scroll through my apps to send the image.

View 25 Replies View RelatedWhen I get picture texts, it comes up with a play button in the message thread. Clicking it will 'play' the image for 10 seconds, and I found out I can tap the screen and hit pause to look at the pic longer... but I can't figure out how to save the image. I've tried:
holding finger on the play button in-thread
holding finger on the image
hitting the menu button on either page
with no success.
perhaps a bit of a newbie question - but having some issues with inline pictures with the email application. I am on Gmail....and using the email application. When I go on the phone using the browser to gmail I can see the pictures, when using the email app I cannot. Two questions.
1. Is there a difference between the email app that comes with the phone and the Gmail app. I have a Gmail email address and no other email accounts.
2. Are there other apps that are better about inline images?
I have notice people mention that those using the Flan Gallery have some issues with the pictures displaying on the menu grid. I have found that by renaming the fils to end with .jpg it makes them show up with no issues. I previously had blank squares until I selected the photo.

I'm curious if it is just a setting I haven't found since not but 2 days ago I found out that you CAN get the phone to vibrate for texts it just isn't in the general settings.It shows folder names which makes finding them easy but I want to see the file names too. For example, I have Tin Man in a folder but when I open the folder it is just thumbnails of the 3 parts.
It's just by chance that the computer copied the last file first so they are in order but this not only isn't going to happen often but I would like to store all my movies and music videos in general folders and browse through them without making a new one for every file.
I deleted mine but i want it back. i thought it was backed up and when i go into astro, the file is there. but for some reason it won't let me reinstall. could somebody possibly send me the apk?

New Recovery File
Live Wallpaper ZIP
-Follow EXACTLY. Don't deviate-
1) Go to Control Panel. Remove EVERYTHING Samsung from your Add/Remove section. This will remove all of the drivers etc.
2) Go to your Program Files (x86 if needed) section under 'My Computer'. Delete the 'Samsung Electronics' folder.
3) If you have CCLeaner and are comfortable using the Registry tool, clean your registry of anything Samsung. This will ensure that your new install doesn't use the old stuff.
4) RESTART
5) Install the OLD CL14 SAMSUNG INSTALLER onto your PC. This is important as the NEW installer won't use non-signed packages.
6) RESTART
7) Download the new Recovery and KEEP IT IN ITS DOWNLOADED FORMAT. Take off the MD5 at the end of the file so it ends in TAR.
8) Go back to the Samsung Electronics folder (that you would've deleted earlier) and head to SWUpgradeModelsBinary. Remove the file inside, probably called "SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar". Delete it, move it - whatever.
9) Copy the Recovery file you just downloaded into that folder. DO NOT EXTRACT IT.
10) TURN OFF YOUR PHONE and remove the battery for about 10 seconds. Replace battery. DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON.
11) HOLD 'VolDown+Camera+End'. A DOWNLOADING screen should appear.
12) Start the SWUpdate that should be on your desktop. Otherwise, it's back in the Samsung Electronics folder from earlier.
13) FOLLOW THE ONSCREEN INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. I can't stress that enough...
14) After it applies the Recovery file (which is why you placed it in the Binary folder), RESTART YOUR PHONE.
15) Copy the Live Wallpaper ZIP file to your SDCard. DO NOT put it into a folder. Just copy it to the root of the card (meaning it's by itself and not in a folder). DO NOT EXTRACT.
16) POWER OFF YOUR PHONE
17) HOLD 'VolDown+Call(Green)+End(Red)'. This will put you into Recovery Mode. Using the VolUp/VolDown keys, scroll to 'Apply Update.zip' and press the center key. Select the Zip File you just copied to your SDCard. After it processes, RESTART YOUR PHONE.
18) BOOYA! After your phone boots up, you should be able to hit Menu then Wallpapers and you should see Live Wallpapers as a heading.This doesn't ROOT your phone, only adds Live Wallpapers to your Moment. If you want to run CUSTOM Live's, you'll need to ROOT your phone.After the zip is applied, you can delete it from your SDCard.

Before I can set a full wallpaper that scrolled between homescreens... Yesterday I downloaded OPEN HOME... not sure if that effected it or what, but now when I try to set a wallpaper... its long and vertical and doesn't scroll with screens... its a stationary wallpaper... Any pic I set does this except for the pre set wallpapers on the phone...
