Samsung Moment :: Moments Default Messaging UI
Dec 17, 2009maybe it's because I'm spoiled with my Hero. My wife just got the moment and I really dislike the SMS UI. Its all black, and just says ME: Other Persons name: no avatar etc. Anyone know if theres a way to show the contacts avatar/image just like the Hero? I hate to install handcent for functionality that basically already exists by default. I Know it doesnt have popup's etc like handcent, but unless theres another app out there? I just hate to install app after app taking up memory.

May 28, 2010I ordered a replacement for my Moment direct from Sprint today. I went to the Sprint store and a service center and both agreed mine was overheating so I am getting a new one. One person at Sprint said they were shipping with 2.1 but the other seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. Does anyone know? I would assume that they are, but it is a pretty recent update.

Dec 16, 2009Anyone know where the moments wallpaper gallery images are stored? I can't find em on the SDCard. I'm also trying to add my own custom images that I've put on the card and every time I set them as my wallpaper they seem soooo zoomed in? I've tried resizing them from 1600 to like 480xwhatever and I still get the same results.

Dec 15, 2009Do not get me wrong - I love the Android, especially the vast amount of apps to choose from. But has anyone noticed how much more vibrant and polished the Palm Pre apps are as opposed to Android apps? Take the weather apps for example (Weather Bug or Weather Channel). They are so much brighter and complex on the Pre. I know the Pre apps are far less in number, but the ones that are there seem much more polished. Am I crazy, or does anyone else notice this?

Nov 7, 2009I know there are a few apps threads, but did not really find one that would describe what they do or why others might like it. Might help others find something that they did not know was out there in the market. So if anyone has any suggestions, please post with the name of the app, description and if it costs or if it is free (free is always good).I just found this app called tunewiki.This is a music app. Not just another regular music app, but pretty cool. So if you have any songs on your phone, you click on it, then it will find the cover art (kind of like what pandora does) but also show the song lyrics. You can then hit the tv tube looking icon and then it will search youtube so you can see the video. And this is free.

Jun 4, 2010I got my Evo for RS as soon as it opened. Once it was activated, I started downloading my favorite apps that I had on my Moment w/ 2.1. I have done every type of search I can think of in the Market, but I still can't find my two favorite apps: Launcher Pro and Quick Settings. I even went on AndroLib.com and found both apps. I then scanned the QR codes and it could not be located in the Market. I also clicked on the market link, using the browser on my Evo, from the review of Launcher Pro on AC and couldn't find it.Any one else having this problem? As a last resort I can make a backup of both apps from my Moment and then install it from the sd card to my Evo, but I would rather dl from the market.

If clicking the widget just opens the program then to me it's not really a widget even if the program creates an entry in the add widgets menu. So what are your favorites?

And in those 3 months, there have been probably thousands more new apps out there for our phone.So, what are the favorites? And what are must-haves? This goes for games as well. Are there games that are still getting constant play on your phone?In my opinion, Handcent and Shapewriter seem to be my favorite and necessary ones. As for games, I keep playing Cestos.

Nov 9, 2009Been messing around with the Moment for a couple of days now. The battery life kinda sucks but the phone is very cool. Fast downloads and the Android Market is great. how to remove apps that came preloaded ie: weather channel, bejeweled demo? Also when you return to the browser it takes you back to where you returned to the home screen telling me it keeps pages running. Any idea how to stop or shut them down when you exit them?

Apr 19, 2010so i just put 2.1 on my phone and for some reason i cant open the maority of apps i download. most of the ones not working are live wall papers, but there has been a few others. im running helix. any ideas how to load those live wall papers. and why random apps would not open? it takes me to the market from the notification sreen and the open option is greyed out.

Mar 23, 2010Alright I've rooted to Joeykrim 1.9.5 and I can't put themes ON. Also I can't find an UNCOMPLICATED way to get rid of unwanted apps. I think its because MAx's recovery isn't loaded but IDK. I've tried the volume, speak, end to load themes but doesn't work. Anyone give me a hand??
