Samsung Moment :: Is There A Way To See File Names In Gallery?

Quick question. Is there a way to see file names in the Gallery? I'm curious if it is just a setting I haven't found since not but 2 days ago I found out that you CAN get the phone to vibrate for texts it just isn't in the general settings.It shows folder names which makes finding them easy but I want to see the file names too. For example, I have Tin Man in a folder but when I open the folder it is just thumbnails of the 3 parts.
It's just by chance that the computer copied the last file first so they are in order but this not only isn't going to happen often but I would like to store all my movies and music videos in general folders and browse through them without making a new one for every file.

Using the gallery ap or video player to select a video to play shows an image from the video in filmstrip mode. Is there a way to see the file name or title of the video instead of a frame?

Is there a way to display the names of videos or pictures when viewing them in the gallery? Alot of my videos have the same beginning screen shot so to find the one I want I have to literally watch them to figure it out. There has to be a way to show the names without having to go through My Files > media > videos. I want to know what the names are when I go to view them

I have notice people mention that those using the Flan Gallery have some issues with the pictures displaying on the menu grid. I have found that by renaming the fils to end with .jpg it makes them show up with no issues. I previously had blank squares until I selected the photo.

Anyone know where the moments wallpaper gallery images are stored? I can't find em on the SDCard. I'm also trying to add my own custom images that I've put on the card and every time I set them as my wallpaper they seem soooo zoomed in? I've tried resizing them from 1600 to like 480xwhatever and I still get the same results.

Well I updated with the official 2.1 but behold when i try to load joeys recovery it refuses to open the bin file. I want to install a custom rom built from his site to remove all the bloat and install live wallpaper etc.
I have been reading for 2 hours and I can't find a fix.
I even tried downloading an older version of swupgrade.

I have spare parts in there there is an option to install some HTC option (camera and a game)
I would like to try them and they didn't seem to install.
While looking to take something off my sd card with root explorer I found them on the SD card as a "tgz" file.
What is this and from here how do I install them onto the phone?

I just install the Android Backup from Sprite Mobile and I did a back of my cell phone. I tried to open the file on my home computer to see my call log and I can't open a SBF File. Is there a program that I can open this file with and read and see my information. If not is the a way that I can convert this file in a word format.

I'm currently making my own icons for apps in MIUI, but I also want to restyle apps downloaded in the market..
Since you have to rename the icons to the name of the files, like:
com.android.email.png and
com.facebook.katana.png
I also need to find the names of the apps I downloaded, so I can make custom icons for them, but I don't know where to find the names. How I can find them so I can make custom icons for them?

Still missing winmob a little. Just bought Docs to go so I can use excel pdf and word docs. What's the Android equivalent of Activesync ie. synchronizing a folder of files on the device with files on my laptop? Love all the multimedia stuff and the really nifty compass, flashlight and metal detector. Just feel like I'm missing the meat and potatoes of a productivity device.
How about an app to sync photos, tasks, notes and hotmail (I hate the pop mail crap, no folder sync). Can hotmail be sent through gmail like in the sticky? AK note looks great, but I think it's pointless if it lives and dies on just the Android device. Slightly frustrated with the learning curve and my battery going for hours on 3 % with no backlight!

I Love my HTC Droid Incredible. I have no problems using the camera or moving images where I want them (Facebook, Flickr, or my PC). As I take photos, they are saved as a file name like "IMAG0029.jpg". They sequentially increment. I am fine with that.
What I would like, is, a way to re-set the embedded number to zero; either when the camera is empty (after a download), or manually.

when i try and download odin downloader it is saved and when i go to open it it says that "windows can not open this file" then it gives 2 options of use web service to find correct program and select a program from a list of installed programs. The file is downloaded as a .rar file if it matters. This also happens when i try to download the newest kernel.

The api demo for gallery uses resource id's to access the drawables in the gallery.I have tried multiple ways to use images from file. My steps...
1. grab filepaths and save all files as a drawable array
2. using the same logice in the api demo, I ste the background to the drawable instaed of the resid
That's All I felt the need to replace from the api demo, which seems to fail miserably since the images do not appear in my test app.

Here I am with 2 HTC Hero phones, with only one on an active account. I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested. I use latest android sdk 1.6_r1 i launch the emulator(with the avd comes with sdcard ) then using adb push to push some videos and pictures onto sdcard because i cannot insert/eject sdcard on emulator so i reboot it after reboot, Gallery can find my videos and pictures just inserted now i want to push more pictures to sdcard so i reboot it after pushing files to sdcard but now Gallery cannot find the newer files after i check with adb i found the files i pushed in 2nd time all of them are of length 0 , so i think Gallery cannot read these files so my problem is Why the files i push to sdcard have zero size after i launch Gallery?

Just bought a Samsung Vibrant and while everyone I have emailed in the past four years shows up in my contacts none of names/numbers I put into my G1 are. Used the same SIM card- traded it from the G1 to the Vibrant. Any tips?

Weird but each time i open contacts i see few numbers without their name.when i try to edit them i see the names.contacts list looks buggy.and i am using latest i5 firmware. With hebrew fonts pushed into my phone.

I was messing around with my own theme (using metamorph), and I wanted to change the stock wallpapers. I know how to, I know where, but when I went to check the default wallpaper names, I don't have them anymore.
Anyway, when I want to select a new wallpaper from the "Gallery", I only have one choice, the "wallpaper_snow_leopard". I have put many wallpapers in the launcher.apk, but none of them show up (I'm guessing because they are not named after the stock wallpapers). The "wallpaper_snow_leopard" isn't the actual leopard, but that's what I wanted.
There seems to be a file called "wallpapers.txt" in the assets folder of the launcher apk, anybody know what this is about? Thanks.
