Samsung Captivate :: Download Images From Browser?
Aug 5, 2010I tried tapping and holding and checking the more menu options but there are no options to download a pic from google images or facebook. anyone know how to do this? or am i missing something?

Aug 5, 2010Trying to set myself up with a nice wallpaper, so I went to interfacelift.com, found an image w/ 800x480 resolution (this is correct for the Dinc, right?), and once i bring up the image in my browser, I long tap, click save image, and then it just says download unsuccessful, and nothing else. I also tried finding an option for "set as wallpaper" but couldn't find anything.

Jun 25, 2010I've been searching on this forum for hours now and can't seem to find any information on a work-around for cropping images for the wallpaper on my Samsung Moment. I've tried "Wallpaper Set & Save" and it just crops it automatically. I just installed the ADW Home Launcher and I can get up to 7 screens on it... but for some reason, my phone still wants to perform as if it's running on 3 screens. So it just automatically crops it.

Dec 16, 2009Anyone know where the moments wallpaper gallery images are stored? I can't find em on the SDCard. I'm also trying to add my own custom images that I've put on the card and every time I set them as my wallpaper they seem soooo zoomed in? I've tried resizing them from 1600 to like 480xwhatever and I still get the same results.

Nov 26, 2010It seems that my cappy has the tendency to lock up when loading images right when i boot up the gallery. Sometimes, it stalls for a bit, and sometimes it completely locks up, needing me to remove the battery and reboot. Is this a common and known issue?

Jul 20, 2010When I try to set a wallpaper from my own gallery, it only allows me to select a specific part of the picture. For example on the iphone I could resize the selection to fit the screen as much as I wanted. But the captivate sets a box and i cant make it bigger or smaller to select the entire wallpaper. and also doesn't matter how high res the picture is, it always looks blurry. Unlike the stock wallpapers, they look super sharp and clear. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how to fix it so i can choose to display an entire picture as my wallpaper rather than just a small portion?

Sep 10, 2010i have been trying to figure out how to use an image for my wallpaper, but the crop box comes up over it everytime, and it forces me to crop the picture , which makes it fuzzy and incomplete. this also happens when adding an image to a contact. HELP? I have tried stretching the crop box as far as it will go, but that is only 50%at best. i also have tried NOT tapping anything on the screen other than save but it still crops it.

Apr 9, 2010When I am trying to download files from certain websites, including my school's website, the files attempt to download and complete almost instantly, usually with varying bytes or KB of data downloaded, not the full file. On my school's site I try to download a variety of file types including .pdf .doc .ppt and some .zip and it's the same thing with all of them, this has happened on several other sites as well, but usually I can download these file types without a problem. I am just wondering what could be causing this problem and if it is fixable.

Jul 24, 2010My captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!

Jul 22, 2010Im using launcher pro. I only have one dock. When I set a wallpaper to my home screen it always stretches it out past the screen. Even if I use a wallpaper with the correct screen resolution(800 x 480), it still never displays correct on the screen. It seems to always "zoom in".Any idea?

Oct 17, 2010I notice when ever I set a wallpaper the image quality is crap. all the wallpapers i try are at least 800x480 but most are normal computer wallpaper size so they should fit fine after being cropped.

Samsung Captivate :: Missing Live Wallpaper (Ocean Wave) / Way To Get?
Jul 16, 2010There's an update.zip for a port of the Galaxy-S live wallpapers here. That contains all the live wallpapers included on the international Galaxy-S. The only one missing from the Captivate is "Ocean Wave". Can someone more familiar with this sort of thing modify that zip to only include "Ocean Wave" as I don't want to risk my other Live Wallpapers. Or does anybody know a different way to get it on the Captivate? (I tried using ADB to just install the .apk for Ocean Wave, and got a force close when I ran it, so that was no good.)
