I have notice people mention that those using the Flan Gallery have some issues with the pictures displaying on the menu grid. I have found that by renaming the fils to end with .jpg it makes them show up with no issues. I previously had blank squares until I selected the photo.

Alot of my videos have the same beginning screen shot so to find the one I want I have to literally watch them to figure it out. View 4 Replies View RelatedQuick question. Is there a way to see file names in the Gallery? I'm curious if it is just a setting I haven't found since not but 2 days ago I found out that you CAN get the phone to vibrate for texts it just isn't in the general settings.It shows folder names which makes finding them easy but I want to see the file names too. For example, I have Tin Man in a folder but when I open the folder it is just thumbnails of the 3 parts.
It's just by chance that the computer copied the last file first so they are in order but this not only isn't going to happen often but I would like to store all my movies and music videos in general folders and browse through them without making a new one for every file.
I deleted mine but i want it back. i thought it was backed up and when i go into astro, the file is there. but for some reason it won't let me reinstall. could somebody possibly send me the apk?

I'm also trying to add my own custom images that I've put on the card and every time I set them as my wallpaper they seem soooo zoomed in? I've tried resizing them from 1600 to like 480xwhatever and I still get the same results.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I was looking at my friends moment and I noticed that his screen was brighter than mine. I checked our settings and they were identical. The only difference was that I had spare parts installed and he didn't. So I installed spare parts on his phone check settings and they were identical. I uninstalled spare parts turn my phone off and on and his display is still brighter. Is there a way I can reset my phone settings without losing all my info. Or get my screen to be the brightest setting. Me and my friend both use quick settings and the display settings are the same on both phones... its weird. I hope my phones screen isn't messed up.

I was previously flashed with Fresh 1.1 and was using LockBot, but when i tried it with Fresh 2.0d i started have some issues, so.... is there any way to create lockscreens that are like the ones that are lockbot? (i.e. Flan, Eclar, Iphone)
I know in the [Guide] Creating Custom Lockscreens there's discussions about adding a tutorial for 2.1 roms, but nothing yet.
I want do display some images that I load from a remote source in a gallery. The gallery should let the user do the following things:
-zoom the image (preferably also by pinch-zoom) -pan the image -switch between the different images
Of course most built-in gallery applications can do all of that. So my first idea was to use an ACTION_VIEW intent in order to delegate the task to some gallery application. This however won't work for me since you can only pass the URI of the image you want to display but not the actual bitmap data itself. I can't just pass the URL of the remote image because I need to manage the loading and caching of the data myself. A way around this would be to write the data to a local file and then pass the URI of that file (and deleting the file again afterward). Besides this being less than elegant it won't even do the trick because with an intent like this you can only pass one image at a time.
The built-in Facebook application on the Nexus One actually does exactly what I have in mind for displaying photo albums. It looks like a custom gallery activity they built into their application. Does anyone know whether there are templates available for something like this somewhere that one could reuse? Building something like this from scratch by myself seems too time consuming.
Here I am with 2 HTC Hero phones, with only one on an active account. I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. Don't get me wrong, webOS is clean and has a lot of potential, but for now...lacking would be a good (albeit understated) word to describe it. I want to jump the Pre ship for the Samsung Moment, but one thing I keep reading about the Moment is bothering me - everyone says it doesn't have multi-touch. However, I recently read that multi-touch is something Android doesn't yet support. This knowledge was previously unbeknownst to me since I haven't used an Android device since the G1 first launched. Since the Moment uses a standard Android build, the OS wouldn't allow multi-touch even if the phone were capable of it. So my question is: Does anyone know whether or not the Moment is capable of multi-touch? If it's simple a shortcoming of Android, I can deal with it since I know Android 2.0 should finally support it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've already done the update but both pre and post update, my Moment intermittently won't respond when getting a call. The call comes in, I hear the ringtone but no matter what buttons I press, the phone won't respond. I have to wait until voicemail kicks in or the call has ended.
I called Sprint technical support and they're going to send a new (I hope it's new) phone. I hate to set up the phone for the third time. Is there a fix or should I just bite the bullet and get the new? phone? Has anyone had this problem?
What experiences have you had with replacement phones from Sprint?
Should I be worried about getting a lemon phone?
Does setcpu speed up the Moment at all or is its only real use for downclocking to save battery?
