Before I can set a full wallpaper that scrolled between homescreens... Yesterday I downloaded OPEN HOME... not sure if that effected it or what, but now when I try to set a wallpaper... its long and vertical and doesn't scroll with screens... its a stationary wallpaper... Any pic I set does this except for the pre set wallpapers on the phone...

Hope the title is as it should be. I'm not sure how to put this so I'll try my best.When you have a picture as your wallpaper do you notice that when sliding between the screens they move ever so slightly?For example, I have an image of the lion in my avatar perfectly in the centre of my home screen, yet when I move the screen to the left or right it seems to move the image and cut some off. Is there a way around this?I've seen it on some people's screen shots but I'm not sure how to do it with a picture that you decide to use as a homescreen. No worries if it can't be done. It would just be nice, that's all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm using anything that streams data (like slacker, pandora, even a lyric stream from tune wiki) about 20 minutes in it will stop streaming and kill my data connection. This used to happen sometimes before I updated to official 2.1 and I could just cycle it with airplane mode. But now it seems to lock anything having to do with the phone radio up. Wifi stops working, can't get calls or browse web sites. The signal bar will go full and it shows no data connection next to the signal bar. I've run the 2.1 update 3 times and it happens every time. I can listen to Slacker for like 20 mins then it will lock up. I'll reset the phone and start listening again and it will lock up within 5 min after that (so it does it sooner if the phone was just rebooted.)

My phone is currently "off" and plugged in. if i click the end button the little battery chart shows that it is charging because the meters are still climbing up. does it ever tell you that your battery is full?

-Follow EXACTLY. Don't deviate-
1) Go to Control Panel. Remove EVERYTHING Samsung from your Add/Remove section. This will remove all of the drivers etc.
2) Go to your Program Files (x86 if needed) section under 'My Computer'. Delete the 'Samsung Electronics' folder.
3) If you have CCLeaner and are comfortable using the Registry tool, clean your registry of anything Samsung. This will ensure that your new install doesn't use the old stuff.
4) RESTART
5) Install the OLD CL14 SAMSUNG INSTALLER onto your PC. This is important as the NEW installer won't use non-signed packages.
6) RESTART
7) Download the new Recovery and KEEP IT IN ITS DOWNLOADED FORMAT. Take off the MD5 at the end of the file so it ends in TAR.
8) Go back to the Samsung Electronics folder (that you would've deleted earlier) and head to SWUpgradeModelsBinary. Remove the file inside, probably called "SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar". Delete it, move it - whatever.
9) Copy the Recovery file you just downloaded into that folder. DO NOT EXTRACT IT.
10) TURN OFF YOUR PHONE and remove the battery for about 10 seconds. Replace battery. DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON.
11) HOLD 'VolDown+Camera+End'. A DOWNLOADING screen should appear.
12) Start the SWUpdate that should be on your desktop. Otherwise, it's back in the Samsung Electronics folder from earlier.
13) FOLLOW THE ONSCREEN INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. I can't stress that enough...
14) After it applies the Recovery file (which is why you placed it in the Binary folder), RESTART YOUR PHONE.
15) Copy the Live Wallpaper ZIP file to your SDCard. DO NOT put it into a folder. Just copy it to the root of the card (meaning it's by itself and not in a folder). DO NOT EXTRACT.
16) POWER OFF YOUR PHONE
17) HOLD 'VolDown+Call(Green)+End(Red)'. This will put you into Recovery Mode. Using the VolUp/VolDown keys, scroll to 'Apply Update.zip' and press the center key. Select the Zip File you just copied to your SDCard. After it processes, RESTART YOUR PHONE.
18) BOOYA! After your phone boots up, you should be able to hit Menu then Wallpapers and you should see Live Wallpapers as a heading.This doesn't ROOT your phone, only adds Live Wallpapers to your Moment. If you want to run CUSTOM Live's, you'll need to ROOT your phone.After the zip is applied, you can delete it from your SDCard.

I've been searching on this forum for hours now and can't seem to find any information on a work-around for cropping images for the wallpaper on my Samsung Moment. I've tried "Wallpaper Set & Save" and it just crops it automatically. I just installed the ADW Home Launcher and I can get up to 7 screens on it... but for some reason, my phone still wants to perform as if it's running on 3 screens. So it just automatically crops it.

When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. Basically, i want the exact same, "full" picture on all 7 screens. Is there a way to set it?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI bought some cool skins on ebay which 3 came for $10 which you can find stupid easy with a search but they come with matching wallpapers but when I put them on they go on as images and of course we don't get the full image you have to zoom/crop it and you dont get the whole image. Photobucket might resize this so I hope it works but this image I want as a full size. Is there a certain folder to put it in to get it to full size?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a stikcy header to a listview. I've put the header-field and the listview inside a relativelayout and defined the listview's android:layout_below="@id/header".
The problem is that I want the listview and the header to be positioned at the same place when the listview is not scrolled to the top. The header's background is transparent. I drew an amazing image in paint to illustrate how I want them to interact.
I figured I could override the listviews onscrollistener and change the listviews layout_below-tingy at runtime when it's getScrollY() == 0, but that seems to happen all the time.
Has anyone done something similar that could point me in the right direction?
When I play Mp4 movies like "Goodfellas"... on my Moment using the stock player they play fine..... BUT I cant find a way to make it truly a Full Screen it only shows about 75% screen with a small black border all around.....is there a better APP to play FULLSCREEN Mp4's, media etc etc I can download...or?

this widget is focusable and reacts to touches. I'd like it to change its background color to the default system highlight color when the user scrolls to it, and have it blink when the user taps it (just like an element of a ListView does).
I can add an OnFocusChangeListener for when the user scrolls to it, and in the handler do the changing of the background color.
How would I add the 'blinking' behavior though when the user just taps it with a finger? I did something like this as a test code...

I can't find the tabs when I view it on my hero. I've scrolled up/down/left /right to all edges and the tabs don't appear.
I have a long scrolling list of EditText items created by a SimpleCursorAdapter and prepopulated with values from an SQLite database. The items display OK - scrolling through them shows that each has the correct value from the database. I can make an edit change to any of the EditTexts and the new text is accepted and displayed in the box. if I then scroll the list far enough to take the edited item off the screen, when I scroll back to look at it again its value has returned to what it was before I made the changes, ie. my edits have been lost. In trying to sort this out, I've done a getText to look at what's in the EditText after I've done my edits (and before a scroll) and getText returns the original text, even though the EditText is displaying my new text. It seems that the EditText has only accepted my edits superficially and they haven't been bound to the EditText, meaning they get dropped when scrolled off the screen. Can anyone please tell me what's going on here and what I need to do to force the EditText to retain its edits?

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection.
