I'm working my way through Technica's vids, but I'm stuck at the part where I'm supposed to paste the root "package" on my sd card. My phone is recognized in My Computer as Removable Disc F:, but every time I click on it I get a pop up with "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk F:." I've restarted my phone with no luck.

Anyone had any issues with their magic and vista?
Whenever I connect mine it and mount the SD card I get an error: PLease insert a disc into the drive.
Any ideas if this is a faulty card / device or incompatability issue?
My phone always goes into disc drive mode mode even when I select charge only. Worse, it goes to disc drive mode even when I charge using the wall charger, which means I can't access anything from my SD card when I charging my phone through the wall charger or my car charger.

I just think it's simply awesome and I really digg it, but so far I haven't found any players on market yet, I've tried Meridian and etc, and they're all good but simply don't have this function.
I just got my N1 car dock and i want to put it on my dashboard. Problem is its not smooth enough for the suction - so i "need" to use the included adhesive pad/disc to properly secure it..
I'm worried about this because: It's a brand new EVO that i paid a lot for - i do not want to mess up my dash.. So:
1) Is the adhesive disc removable?
2) Can it be removed and not leave and residue?
3) If it does leave residue can it be removed easy?
4) What is the possibility of it stripping off any paint on the dash?
Seems to be another Vista and sync problem: Laptop will recognise Desire in "Disc Drive" mode, but not in "Sync" mode. No response from the lappy and error flung up on the Desire ""Unable to find HTC sync on your PC ...etc"

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've powered off and pulled the battery. I've also deleted any Samsung drivers on my computer. If this problem requires a "hard reset" I'll wait till 2.1 because that (most likely) wipes all data which is what a hard reset will do anyway, yes? I'm caught in some weird USB connect boot loop. I've got debugging off, I plug USB from computer to phone, I get "USB connected" in notification bar. Ok everything seems cool, right? I use pull down menu to connect, get the "select mount" screen, I press mount then I get "turn off USB card" and then "preparing USB card".
Both in quick succession in the notification bar and then I'm back to"USB connected" again over and over and over again. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit and if I open up Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and printers, I can see that the computer sees something and is calling it SAMSUNG_Android and if I right click that icon to browse files, it comes up as Removable Disk (I) and it's grayed out and I can't get in. If I take the SD card out of the phone and plug it into the computer via microSD adapter, it reads it just fine.
So I just downloaded an app that quickly shows battery life, SD space, and disc space. It says I have used 628 of 748 mb on the disc. I thought the phone had an internal memory of 8gb.

I tried to send a text eariler and I got the message not sent error then I tried to make a phone call and it wouldent go through.. the call timer didn't even pop up. The odd thing is my internet works fine... I. Went back to factory settings via menu privacy reset and still no phone.

So here is my issue.I could swear that when I tapped on an email address for a contact inside Contacts, that a window would pop asking if I'd like to send a Gmail message or a Work Email message (these choices had the little Gmail and Work Email icons as well).About a day or two ago, this option no longer appears for me in Contacts. Instead, when tapping on an email address inside a contact, I am taken straight to the Welcome screen to setup up Moxier Mail, which I do not want to use.I would like to just use the native Gmail option. But now, it appears as though my Contact email addresses no longer connect to the option of sending via Gmail or Work Email

Can you read people's away messages with this phone, if so how? When i get a new IM, i get sent a website browser in the notification along with the the person's screen name who IMed me, but when i click the link, it never loads up and shows an error, anyway to fix this or anything?

So I've had my Samsung Moment on Sprint for 2 days now and a problem started happening today. Whenever I receive a text message, the phone goes black, locks, the ANDROID screen then displays and the phone goes back to normal but begins looking for service. The ringtone is a song and plays until it ends or until she uses advance task killer to kill the processes. Anyone have this issue and more important, any resolved this issue yet?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my old flip phone when i got a call or text message with ringer on i could just hit the volume rocker and it shuts it up when i don't wanna take the call or message. On the moment i don't have that option. I have to hit end button, then menu, and then slide the notification bar down to shut it up. This be kind of annoying, especially when I'm in a meeting and forget to silence my phone before hand. There's a lot of times when i can't answer my phone and would love to reach in my pocket and hit volume button once to shut it up. So i guess what I'm asking is if there is a setting for this that i'm missing, or a different button that does the same.
View 21 Replies View RelatedOn my sister's phone (and I've checked the contact, and reentered the number) when she receives a message from a certain number, the other number on her account and replies to it, the message seems to be sent to the 7 digit number, without area code, and so it fails. She keeps having to resend messages, as a new message, to the number typed in in full. On receiving a reply, simply responding to it results in another failure.This is samsung moment to samsung moment, only happens with the one contact, and doesn't happen on mine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDespite the fact that I have not left the country, nor have I exchanged any text messages with people overseas, I have been charged for 37 international text messages by sprint, to the tune of .20 each. I chatted with a CSR, who basically told me I could not dispute the charges until the bill had posted(it shows under current usage on my account). This is most likely due to the faulty GPS/location issues this phone is well-known to have. Please check your bill, harass sprint, and make sure you don't get hookwinked! Please comment if you check and have been charged for intl text messages within the U.S.A.
