Samsung Moment :: AIM Instant Messenger / Can't Change My Custom Away Message
Dec 23, 2009A couple of quick questions.. I can't change my custom away message (status), even though it says to tap your screen name at the top of the buddy list. Can you read people's away messages with this phone, if so how? When i get a new IM, i get sent a website browser in the notification along with the the person's screen name who IMed me, but when i click the link, it never loads up and shows an error, anyway to fix this or anything?

Aug 19, 2010A couple days ago i noticed my phone was silent, which is pretty unusual.I decided to check and see if i had any messages, hit the power button, and saw no little message icon waiting for me. I figured no one had texted me so i moved on. About a half hour later i checked again only this time went in to the messages app thingie and had three unread messages, all of which had come up within the last thirty minutes.Ive been checking it more often now and it does vibrate, but the little icon doesnt stay up long/at all. Any idea what im doing wrong? Its getting kinda annoying not knowing if i have a message or something.

I set my text message and voice mail alert, but it only chimes one time and that's it, so if I'm not near my phone at the time, I wouldn't know someone texted me until I go to use my phone. Feb 3, 2010I do have a few questions about the phone. i was wondering if there is a way to make text messages alerts show up on my screen. i have an app that shows if i have one unread but it is pretty small. every other phone i've had had a pretty big notification for texts. also is there a way to have the screen light up when you get a text? there is a sound that plays when i get a text, but the screen does not light up. not sure if im just missing something, but is there a way to set different tones for different notification? right now the same thing plays when i plug my phone in, that plays when i get a text. none of these are huge issues, but i am just curious if there is a way to make some changes on the phone. im sure ill figure it out or just get used to it.

It still plays a sound AND vibrates, and that's driving me nuts. 2) Is there a way for the "native" alert sound management software to recognize imported files for alerts? I've used a downloaded program that will allow me to pick song files, but it's use of them is inconsistent, even though when I go to the setting, it still has the file I chose listed.

Nov 10, 2009I have noticed in all music apps (pandora, slacker, last.fm, mp3's) the sound on the low end is very overmodulated. It is to the point that if I am wearing headphones or using the Moment to play music in the car that the speakers are being pushed extremely hard. The low end is so cranked that no level of EQ on my sound system can get rid of the muffled sound on the low end.
It also almost sounds like my earbuds are going to blow even on low volume.
All other devices (IPod Touch, Touch Pro, Slacker portable, Hero) do not have this problem.
Is this normal for this phone and if so do you know of any apps where you can tweak the EQ of the media volume output?
