So I've had my Samsung Moment on Sprint for 2 days now and a problem started happening today. Whenever I receive a text message, the phone goes black, locks, the ANDROID screen then displays and the phone goes back to normal but begins looking for service. I have no clue why this is happening but it's really annoying.

i have my captivate, and i checked the box to vibrate when i receive a text message. however, it only lights up and no vibration occurs.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen my phone is on vibrate, and i revieve a text, my phone lights up but it dosent vibrate and also, sometimes when i recieve a text it dosent go to the bottom of my text messaging list, it goes in the middle, so when i recieve a message, i have to look through all my messages to see which one i just recieved. i've noticed that the time stamp is incorrect on the messages sometimes, which my be the reason.

I can send pictures just fine, but when I receive them, the picture doesn't pop up in the text conversation like normal, it leaves a link to "download" the image. I click download and an error message pops up stating that the process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly and shuts down.

The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.

At first, calls would go straight to voicemail, and now there is a message stating "The number or code you have dialed is incorrect". Nobody who has tried calling is marked "straight to voicemail", and I had a friend who is not on her contact list call her and he go the same thing. I rooted and removed some bloatware over a week ago, and had no problems. She had adialer installed, and removing that did nothing. I can make calls from her phone, although earlier she said she tried calling me (I was holding the phone because I just texted her to do it) and she said I went straight to voicemail. Sitting here, I called my phone and several other numbers with her phone with no problems.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my old flip phone when i got a call or text message with ringer on i could just hit the volume rocker and it shuts it up when i don't wanna take the call or message. On the moment i don't have that option. I have to hit end button, then menu, and then slide the notification bar down to shut it up. This be kind of annoying, especially when I'm in a meeting and forget to silence my phone before hand. There's a lot of times when i can't answer my phone and would love to reach in my pocket and hit volume button once to shut it up. So i guess what I'm asking is if there is a setting for this that i'm missing, or a different button that does the same.
View 21 Replies View RelatedOn my sister's phone (and I've checked the contact, and reentered the number) when she receives a message from a certain number, the other number on her account and replies to it, the message seems to be sent to the 7 digit number, without area code, and so it fails. She keeps having to resend messages, as a new message, to the number typed in in full. On receiving a reply, simply responding to it results in another failure.This is samsung moment to samsung moment, only happens with the one contact, and doesn't happen on mine.

I chatted with a CSR, who basically told me I could not dispute the charges until the bill had posted(it shows under current usage on my account). This is most likely due to the faulty GPS/location issues this phone is well-known to have. Please check your bill, harass sprint, and make sure you don't get hookwinked! Please comment if you check and have been charged for intl text messages within the U.S.A.

I don't know what else to do and also when I run the game raging thunder I get maybe 5 fps to the game. Can someone explain to me what is going on? Unfortunately the only option for copying is copy message and not selected text. I was able to select certain text and copy only it in the browser, but not in SMS/MMS (sometimes I need to copy an address or query). Does anyone know how to change this so I can copy only selected text (partial message)?

I get the normal 1 and now a another 1 saying new message(s) which will clear if i click. Also my text message ringtone plays twice also. I use SMS popup as well, but i have been using that for at least 3 months with no problems.

Is there a way to make your phones screen light up when you receive a text message? Also is there a way to set a reminder like every few minutes that you have a text message? Say if you receive a text message while you're away from the phone then two minutes later the phone vibrates or sounds to remind you that you have a new text.

1) My ringer, when someone calls me, starts off quiet for a few seconds then goes to full volume. The ringtone I have doesn't do that by itself, it must be a setting. Is there a way to make it ring full volume as soon as someone calls me?
2) Is there a way to make the phone vibrate when receiving a text message either while the phone is on vibrate or on normal volume.
When ever my phone freezes and the battery come out when I start it back up. The phone ends up sending 2 to 3 random previous messages to the last person I texted. This has happened several times has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix?
