On my second Moment and this one has been ok(with the exception of airplane mode) until now... I tried to send a text eariler and I got the message not sent error then I tried to make a phone call and it wouldent go through.. the call timer didn't even pop up. The odd thing is my internet works fine... I. Went back to factory settings via menu privacy reset and still no phone.

Does anyone know how to make ALL calls go direct to voicemail? When i try to upload a large file to YouTube, FB, etc - an incoming call/SMS kicks me off; and, I have to start all over. I have found how to do this on the HTC, through Settings:Wireless:Mobile Networks.... but similarities stop there.

So here is my issue.I could swear that when I tapped on an email address for a contact inside Contacts, that a window would pop asking if I'd like to send a Gmail message or a Work Email message (these choices had the little Gmail and Work Email icons as well).About a day or two ago, this option no longer appears for me in Contacts. Instead, when tapping on an email address inside a contact, I am taken straight to the Welcome screen to setup up Moxier Mail, which I do not want to use.I would like to just use the native Gmail option. But now, it appears as though my Contact email addresses no longer connect to the option of sending via Gmail or Work Email

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot a problem with my new Samsung galaxy S2 that's stumping.Several times a day, for several minutes at a time, I'm unable or send or revive text messages. During this ~5 min window I am also unable to make or receive calls. Outgoing texts will time out and outgoing call just stay at "dialing" and then time out. The issue resolves itself after a few minutes.
NOTES:
• This started when I switched to an iPhone on Sprint from my Samsung Epic 4g on Sprint. Thinking it was the iPhone issue, I switched to a Galaxy SII... which does the exact same thing.
• I have signal bars the whole time
• my girlfriend, who shares the cell plan and my house never has this issue (she has an Evolution 4g)
• tried updating the PRL, profile and even had Sprint reset my MSID#.
• happened on stock EK02 ROM, and rooted EL29 roms.
Just wanted to refresh for those that arent aware of this coming merger.

This is great news from those suffering from sub-par reception, and im pretty sure will obliterate the competition in terms of available phone signal.
Today I was in the middle of sms conversation and suddenly I realized that my phone lost it's ability to send messages as well as calling/receving calls.

How do you send a text message using the keyboard instead of tapping send on-screen?

Every phone I've had in the past (Nokia, Sony, etc...) has always allowed me to hide my number so that the call display on the receiver's phone shows my call as 'private'. This is useful for when you don't want certain people to have your number when you call. Is there a way to do this on the Galaxy S? I couldn't seem to find any setting how.

A lot of the apps are on the I phone and I touch which is pretty cool. But can anyone tell me if it is possible to maybe change the phone kinda like jail breaking? Oddly, they don't seem to drop when I keep it on speakerphone and this doesn't seem to be an issue at all with incoming calls.Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?Also, I've found this doesn't seem to happen when I use the menu and go to a different screen while the call is connected.

Seems like that's all I really need to do. So why am I here watchinghearing my phone ring right now on my desk and yes it's from the contact in question? I mean we've all got at least 1 person that we just do NOT want to talk to when they call. I can deal with a voicemail and call them back when I'm ready. At first, calls would go straight to voicemail, and now there is a message stating "The number or code you have dialed is incorrect". Nobody who has tried calling is marked "straight to voicemail", and I had a friend who is not on her contact list call her and he go the same thing. I rooted and removed some bloatware over a week ago, and had no problems. She had adialer installed, and removing that did nothing. I can make calls from her phone, although earlier she said she tried calling me (I was holding the phone because I just texted her to do it) and she said I went straight to voicemail. Sitting here, I called my phone and several other numbers with her phone with no problems.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the Behold II through T Mobile and when I'm on the road and in certain places I will have full bars but no 3g, or wifi. When I try to send a text it says "Unable to send text, will send once service becomes avalible" When I try to make a call it says service unavalible.
It tells me I have full bars, and when I go to network selection, it doesnt matter what network i choose or whats avalible it wont connect to it, a message will pop up and say "Network with limited service avalible, search for network" ..if i say yes it just does the same thing all over again, and if i say no it goes into automatic mode and wont let me do anything once again..
I have full bars, does that not matter? If I have to have 3g then why would it tell me i have a full signal when I really dont.
I recently upgraded my phone to the leaked Froyo and ever since then I have been having a weird issue with my messaging. I will send a message to someone and when they respond it will actually be displayed before the one I sent them. This is kind of hard to explain so I will do my best with an example. View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my refurbished Captivate in the mail today, charged and activated it as per the instructions. It worked just fine for about 30 minutes or so. I put on a few apps and showed them off to my roommate, and things were going fine. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive phone calls, nor was I able to get/send text messages. With no pattern or logic I would go from 3g to edge to neither of the two symbols (just full signal strength) to the international no sign where my full bars just were. If I typed and tried to send a text while the no sign was visible it would send and receive texts as soon as I got signal back, but that would only last a few minutes.
I've tried hard and soft resets and restoring the phone to factory settings, all to no avail, as well as checking my message center number. I've looked around in the forums and can't seem to find anyone who has had this problem, and I was hoping someone would have some advice or could point me to a thread that I may have missed. I'd talk to AT&T but chat hours are over and I have to be up early for work tomorrow and need my phone for that, so I'm not sure I can ask customer service tomorrow beforehand.
Any other o2 galaxy users finding they can't make/ receive calls atm? I ask as myself and my mate in the office (both galaxies) can't make calls or receive, but an iphone mate (also o2) can?
Anyone else? And any ideas?
So I'm at work (I'm in the Army), and someone who recently got a Droid was asking about not being able to browse the web while in the middle of a phone call. Someone else who had an iPhone said they could do this. But the person with the Droid tested it, made a phone call and was not able to bring the browser up.

Dropped calls mainly, sometimes 4-6 times during one conversation.My main irritation right now is that if I'm in the text screen or any messaging screen for that matter and I get a call my phone screen goes black and I can't answer it. It won't even let me silence the ringer.I love all of the things that this phone does, the whole android deal is awesome but lately I am seriously missing my blackberry.Will rooting help ANY of these issues or is that a waste of time?I have already watched the tutorials and written down the steps, just such a noob I'm scared. View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone stopped working properly today, right after installing Astrid update(I don't think it's related but it's the only change of late). I'm getting no sound on calls. No ring, no voice, and nothing happens when I try to go to speaker, the button doesn't register to press even. I've tried pulling various apps and going into diagnostic mode. On speaker test diagnostics freezes up. I just got done doing a factory reset to no avail. I'm going to hit up the repair center tomorrow, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I'm browsing this forum fairly often and don't recall having seen the same problem although it's quite possible I've missed it.
