View 6 RepliesIs there a way to mute the ring tone of an incoming call while I am deciding what to do with the call? This morning some idiot rang me at 0150h. I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. In meetings, it is a nuisance if the ringing blares away while I make my way out of the room to take the call.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMaybe someone can help me. I am living in Europe and travelling quite often. So far when I was going abroed I have talked to my girlfriend using my notebook (wifi connection and using skype video call). Using the video call I was able to see her, talk to her and the other way around. Now as I bought my first smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S) I would like to do the same thing without taking my notebook to my travels.
Is there any software which will allow me to have a video call from the phone to PC? I am asking about software which work on Android 2.1 and support front face camera on the phone, so I am able to see her (and she can see mee) while talking to her!
I do not have Froyo as in my country there isn't original update yet. And I would rather wait for the official update.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S
Firmware: Eclaire (2.1)
My Galaxy Nexus and Transformer Prime both stop recording at a 2gb file size, is this true of all android devices? Is there any way around it, an app or something? I've tried a couple that didn't work but maybe I missed one that does. I'd like to be able to record at 1080p until the memory card is full..

View 13 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this has already been posted here, I couldn't find it if it has, but here is a cool video sample recorded on an Epic 4G in 720P.
It might not wow everyone, but it looks better than the samples taken by Engadget. The audio pickup is awesome! And the video is so smooth I didn't know the video was being taken by the Epic until he mentioned it.
I'm really looking forward to this device! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsUUi0MTrb4
How long of a video can I take recording at 720p?

View 16 Replies View RelatedSo I recorded some videos yesterday, assuming it would record in 720p by default. However when uploading to YouTube, it would only allow up to 480, not giving the option of 720p playback.
Well today, I noticed different resolutions. Is 1280x720 the 720p resolution? If so, then I may have figured it out myself.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (model GT-I8190, Android Version 4.1.1) and as of about 3 weeks ago it will crash intermittently when I am using it. I have had the phone for just over a year. The battery will be well charged prior to it crashing. I will be using the phone and then it crashes. The phone will switch off and then will turn on again (by itself) and when the home screen appears the battery will show that its on 0%. This of course then causes the phone to turn off and then turn on again and so on....the only way of stopping this cycle is by taking the battery out (to stop the cycle) or by plugging in the adaptor. Indeed if the phone is plugged in then it never malfunctions and the phone works ok.
Also the battery charge has started to drop quite significantly - It sits on my desk at work and yet i cannot get through the day without re-charging it. When i was in the O2 shop the other day it dropped 12% in 5 mins.It usually crashes when I am using apps that in the past have worked fine but today it crashed when it was updating an app.I have deleted apps that I have added recently in case it is anything to do with them.I have backed up everything and have restored factory settings.I have not dropped it or got water on it etc.
The problem still exists.I took it to o2 who want to send it off. Is it simply a battery issue? It could be a battery issue but I dont want to spend money on a new battery for the problem to persist.
The audio/video works perfectly if I watch the recording on my phone, but when I email the video to my gmail account and save it to my computer, it opens in Media Player and there's no sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated to the new version through Kies. As soon as my phone booted and I exited lock screen, a lot of popups of processes that crashed show up. This includes android.process.acore, com.google.processes.gapps, Daily Briefing, calendar... pretty much everything shows up and I don't have access to anything on the phone. Apparently usb debug got back on so I can't get kies to recognize the phone.
I have a contract-free galaxy s from germany. Rooted. Uninstalled ryans lag fix through market before upgrading. I don't know what I did wrong. What can I do?
Is there an app that actually records the incoming caller that works on the Desire?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI looked & was unable to find an answer to this when I searched. My phone is actually RINGING with the ringtone when I get a 2nd call on call waiting. I'd much prefer the beep as it is very disruptive and a friend asked me the other day what that noise was. It was my phone ringing for an incoming call!
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy galaxy s has recently given me a "warning recording failed" message about a minute or so into recording a video.
Strange thing is that it only happens when recording in HD resoution, and only when the phone is selected as the storage type. It works fine if the SD card is selected, or in any other resolution!
So Im just curious as to what could be causing this? Would it be a result of full memory? Or anythin to do with the lag fix I installed?
I've been using Nimbuzz and fring to make a voice call but fring does not support skype anymore and Nimbuzz somehow mutes itself. I wonder what other BH2 users use to make a voice or video call. If would be really helpful if someone can let me know. I'm in a long-distance(9000km) relationship.

Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
I have changed my code as below but the problem now is ,the recording wont stop at 2 minutes in samsung galaxy.ohters fine

I am having trouble hearing the beeps that are heard for incoming calls when I am listening to music. Is there anyway to change this to something more obvious?
Either making it louder and the music playing quieter, or even pausing the music and notifcation sounds or ringtone playing would be good. I cant seem to find a fix. I am missing many calls like this.
I have installed various call recorder apps TotalRecall, VirtualRecorder, Voice2do, NoteEverything, Qmemo... but none of them record the sound of the person on the other side of the line. Can someone tell me which call recorder work for Xperia X 10 mini pro?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOften during my calls I can hear a call waiting tone (double beep) but when I look at the screen there is no parallell call? Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)

Question:-
My mobile is always on silent.. Because of my professional requirements.
What I am looking is a software by which I can add specific numbers (my wife; my dad and my mom and my boss).. These four numbers I want to add to a list which will always ring even if my mobile is on silent mode.
From the Greek guy that recently compared Super Amoled vs Amoled vs Lcd....
He says that the 5mpx camera is excellent in day but in dark places without the flash it is not very good....the 720p is nice but he is not impressed.

When I'm on a call and a 2nd call comes in, my phone doesn't ring or anything. Is there anyway to change this so that I know when I have a call waiting without having to look at the screen (which is usually pressed up against my ear)?
