Often during my calls I can hear a call waiting tone (double beep) but when I look at the screen there is no parallell call? Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)

I can't hear the audible beep of an incoming call while its in call waiting. When I hang up the call I see there was a missed call but while in the first call I could never hear an audible beep.

My problem is that when I am on a call and I receive another call, I get the notification beeping sound, and the person I am talking to also hears the beep and becomes aware that someone is trying to call me! The person I'm talking to should not hear the beep or know that I'm being called by a third person!

There is a beep tone when u end a call..
which was played through the main external speaker instead of phone earpiece speaker..
what can be the exact reason that causes it...
can it be as simple as a setting some in some xml file?
also its not some .ogg file in /media/ui or some place else...its some network tone i guess
I have had my Samsung Galaxy S for just over a week now and have almost got to grips with it!
One thing that is annoying me and that I can't seem to change is the call waiting option. I have set up my own call options and they work fine - what I am having problems with is when I call someone who is already on a call - my phone does not tell me that I am waiting. I have always had this with my other phones without having to set up or do anything - how do I manage this on teh Samsung Galaxy S? I am with Vodafine and have Android 2.2 Froyo.
Why is it when you are talking to someone and you get a call waiting, the person you are initially talking to, also hears the call waiting alert as well. I don't think thats right.

I have not had the phone long enough to have much call waiting experiences but the times I did, I noticed I had to press menu and then go thru a menu to "click over" to the other call. This is g=fine and dandy from the comfort of your couch but is not advisable if you are driving a car. Is there a one button shortcut to go to the other call without having to look at a menu?

I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. However, I cannot seem to add new groups or edit existing groups on my Moment. I can see the groups, I can sort by groups, but I cannot find an option that will allow me to add or edit any groups. Does anyone know how this is done on the Moment? I suppose I could use the browser to log on to my Gmail account and change it from there but isnt that sort of redundant since I am on my Gmail account using the Moment? Also, maybe someone knows when Moment contacts sync with my Gmail why dont the contact photos sync? One more thing, anyone ever on a call and it goes dead and after a few seconds the phone rings with unknown in the caller ID. When answer it is some from my address book that should have appeared in my caller ID Anyway, now I have to quickly hang up on this person to call the person my phone hung up on to receive this call. Its like the call waiting gets disengaged and hangs up the present call to allow the new incoming. I also had this problem on a HTC Hero I had before I got the Moment also.

When I am on a phone call and another call comes through, that person's Caller ID contact list name does not come up, just their phone number (even though they are in my contact list). Go to answer the other call let them know I will call them back later...other caller hangs up and then the call just hangs there in dead air. View 9 Replies View RelatedI think i discovered a huge issue with the new firmware. When i have a second line calling me the screen does not wake up allowing me to switch to the second call. In the past, when a second call comes in the proximity sensor would wake the screen and allow me to take or reject the call. Now i cant even see who is calling. Since i use the phone for business, this is a big, big issue. Anyone else experience this?

I feel this is wrong since before the update, the screen would wake immediately when a new call came in. What are your thoughts? the phone screen should become visable immediately when the phone is removed from your face like it did before. Now it is only instant when you dont have a second call coming in, there is no reason the screen should be delayed with a second call.

I've had the phone about 2 months now and i'm sure it didnt do it from new. I think it's come from a app i've removed and its left something behind but I could be wrong. It's not really a beep, but I couldn't think of another way to describe it in one word. What I'm hearing every once in a while during a call is the sound you'd hear if someone on a land line would press a button on their phone during the call.
Is anyone else having this issue? I know I've had phones in the past that will beep every x minutes during a phone call, but that setting could be turned off. I KNOW I do not have a call/text/etc waiting when this is happening, or any other update, etc. from an app.
