So I recorded some videos yesterday, assuming it would record in 720p by default. However when uploading to YouTube, it would only allow up to 480, not giving the option of 720p playback.
Well today, I noticed different resolutions. Is 1280x720 the 720p resolution? If so, then I may have figured it out myself.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI came from an HD2, and I used to take videos with it and upload directly to Youtube. Why cant the Vibrant do the same thing? I know it can be done (supposedly) via wifi, but thats stupid that I cant do it over 3g. So anyway, I took a video of my son, and wanted to UL it. Well, I set up my wifi, and it started. After a few seconds, it pauses and says something like waiting for wifi, retrying in 1 minute. then 2 mins, then it sometimes starts, sometimes climbs to 5 minutes. Eventually, it makes its way to 100% completed, but never succeeds. Always tells me "Network error, please try again". I tried literally 20 times last night to no avail.

View 13 Replies View RelatedOne question arised on my mind when reading reviews of Galaxy S - is there any video player capable of playing HD content (720p) and showing subtitles - either from srt file or directly from MKV?
There are players with subtitles support but I am afraid that to play HD content 1Ghz processor is not enough and that Galaxy's internal player is also taking advance of GPU which others players do not.
Is there an app or website that lets you download or stream video clips (movie trailers, etc.) in 720p?
I tried youtube and selected "view in high quality" but I highly doubt it was displaying 720p.
I've read it's compression, what settings are our EVO set at and how do you find out the compression rate of the other phones? Is this something that software or a root hack can alter?

apparently vimeo doesn't like the video created by sprint Samsung Epic. they render it with an aspect ratio which is all squashed. ironically, the thumbnail they produce is the correct aspect ratio. anyone have any experiences/pointers/tutorials with sprint EPIC to vimeo?

It might not wow everyone, but it looks better than the samples taken by Engadget. The audio pickup is awesome! And the video is so smooth I didn't know the video was being taken by the Epic until he mentioned it.

I've uploaded videos from my phone to youtube before most recently the past couple of weeks. I go to upload one right now and it looks normal connected to my account and everything. It says complete when its finished, but when I go to youtube the video isn't there. Tried it about 5 times and same thing every time.

Having Issues uploading my Videos on my Phone to YouTube. I am on Wifi and I have great signal. About every Percent the upload stops and says "Retrying Waiting 1 Minute" Any idea why it is doing this? I also have the phone plugged in and while it is plugged in the screen does not turn off.

View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter using both the EVO and SGS for weeks, I find the SGS inferior to the EVO in very few ways. The most major one that it being a 3G phone, the Internet speed is of course slower than the EVO's (I have 4G in my area, Los Angeles). I enjoy watch Youtube and SprintTV on the EVO as both the resolution and streaming experience very good, however after watch the low res Youtube on the SGS a few times, I can't make myself watch it under 3G anymore (wifi is better but still not as good as EVO on 4G). But since we can consistently get over 1 meg on 3G, why can't the SGS do better in Youtube video playback? Is there any program that can trick the phone in thinking it is on wifi and playback in higher resolution?
