I am unable to answer the incoming call by pressing the green icon on samsung galaxy s. Instead, i have to drag the green icon to the right. Please suggest a way with which i can receive the call in a single touch.

I cannot answer about 75% of calls from my wife. The Answer Icon does not appear when it rings and I do not have any way of answering it then except for the incoming call to end, then I go to call log and call her (them) back.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo the other day i got a call and i pulled the phone out of my pocket and tried to slide to answer and nothing happned. I tried to slide it to drop the call and nothing happened. I then mashed a bunch of buttons in frustration and think i rebooted my phone. It did it again to me today, though after about 10 seconds it finally allowed me to answer the phone. I have weatherbug going without GPS as that killed the battery, also have pocket empires going today.

I am looking for a lockscreen replacement that most importantly gives the option to answer calls without using the slidey swipey thingy. Maybe just a answer call button. I have tried goto - that was cool, but still had the swipe to answer. Also i tried screen suite, but that thing didn't replace the home lock screen for some reason. Can you sugget any others you might be using or know of?

I'm trying to write an app that will run when the phone rings but NOT answer the incoming call. The app would have an answer button that when pressed would perform the regular call answer action, but this isn't what I need help with. I've searched the internet and haven't been able to find any consensus on this issue. My app only needs to run during the call ringing stage and nothing more. What would I have to listen for to do this and what manifest entries would I need? Forgive my incorrect/nonexistant use of terminology, I haven't worked with Android in close to a year and haven't freshened up fully yet.

I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. In meetings, it is a nuisance if the ringing blares away while I make my way out of the room to take the call.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S4 Google Edition with Stock 4.3, and my husband has a Galaxy Note 3 from T-Mobile, with 4.3 as well. He usually listens to Pandora, however, the music from Pandora doesn't stop playing when he receives a phone call. So he hears the music AND the phone call at same time. He uses the Samsung headphones that came with the phone. I use the Google Music app to listen to my music, and the same thing happens to me. I get a phone call, and the music keeps playing. Our friend, has a Galaxy S3 from T-Mobile with Android 4.1 (I believe, could be 4.2) and he says his music stops when he gets a phone call.
Is this a 4.3 bug? Is there anyway to make it stop playing music automatically when answering a call? If it's a bug, is it fixed in 4.4?

When you dial a number, it's much closer and faster to tap the shown name, or to tap the on-screen "call" (if you don't have the number in people app) then to go all the way to a physical button. When you're answering a call, you mostly swipe the on-screen lock bar to answer. At least I do. So, the only usage of "the green key" for me, is when I'm sending MMI codes (checking data plan). What about you?

Dropped calls mainly, sometimes 4-6 times during one conversation.My main irritation right now is that if I'm in the text screen or any messaging screen for that matter and I get a call my phone screen goes black and I can't answer it. It won't even let me silence the ringer.I love all of the things that this phone does, the whole android deal is awesome but lately I am seriously missing my blackberry.Will rooting help ANY of these issues or is that a waste of time?I have already watched the tutorials and written down the steps, just such a noob I'm scared. no headset plugged in just act as normal. Hopefully I am just missing something obvious as I can see the option to enable auto answer but this seems to be regardless of weather or not there is a headset plugged in. If this is not possible is there a a way to shortcut the enable and disabling of auto answer rather than having to go through all the menus?
All incoming phone calls are being automatically answered. I went to Settings>Language and Input; however, I don't see the Voice CMD for Apps option. I also want to note that this is not voice activated answering - it is just auto answering. I am not using a headset and the option for auto answering with a headset is off.

I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..
On my Samsung Moment, a lot of times when someone is calling me, the phone will start vibrating or ringing as it should but the screen does not turn on showing the caller id until 4 or 5 rings, if at all. It makes answering calls before it goes to voicemail difficult.
Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
I am having trouble hearing the beeps that are heard for incoming calls when I am listening to music. Is there anyway to change this to something more obvious?
Either making it louder and the music playing quieter, or even pausing the music and notifcation sounds or ringtone playing would be good. I cant seem to find a fix. I am missing many calls like this.
When I press on the camera icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen the app shuts down.
