Samsung Galaxy S :: Video Playback - Slightly Jittery
Jul 8, 2010Just bought my Galaxy S. Although it is a great phone, the video playback is slightly jittery. Doesnt matter if I view a hd video over all share, youtube video or a playback of a video captured off the phone. It looks slow, and the sound seems out of sync with the video.

Mar 7, 2012I have a Samsung Galaxy SII 4G, love this phone. However I have some issues when it comes to flash and streaming video stuff. I can seem to watch youtube videos just fine but trying to go to other sites that have flash or streaming videos, it just doesn't play at all. Also some sites with flash will only show up with a green arrow in the area where there's supposed to be a video. I have downloaded Adobe flash and Flash AIR. Have tried multiple browsers with all having the same problems. I am also having this problem on my Viewsonic G-Tablet.

Aug 27, 2010during music (mp3) playback, the application will close part-way through a track for no reason. It might happen on the first or the fourth track, but at some time during playback the music will stop and when I look at the phone there are no apps running. I've been listening to mp3's for a few days now and I've tried using both the standard Music Player and the doubleTwist player but I keep getting the same problem.
I've tried playing music from internal and external SD storages, and I don't have any other apps running at the same time. I wait a minute after the player stops before re-opening the player and playing the same track that stopped from the start and it plays through fine. I found a few posts that discussed music playback problems for the Galaxy S and other phones running 2.1, but they all seemed to relate to actual playback problems (i.e. brief silences or pops and hisses during playback) rather than the player itself stopping.
General :: Video Calls Between Galaxy Blaze And IPhone
Feb 8, 2014I have the samsung galaxy s blaze 4G phone. My friend has an iphone and she has the facetime feature on her iphone which allows her to make video calls. My phone is an android as you know. If she calls me through the facetime feature on her iphone is there a way for me to connect to her video call so that we can both see each other on video? Do I need to download an app(maybe an app made by apple that is made to run on android phones) to enable my phone to have the capability of accepting facetime calls made from her iphone? Or should we just forget about the facetime nonsense and just use something like skype or another similar app that will run on both the iphone and android devices? But she does not want to go to the trouble of singing up to something in order to use an app.

Jul 17, 2010Is there a better video player application which is free in the android market? The thing i dont like about the stock video player is that it doesnt sort my movies and videos. For example, i made folders for my series and my movies. after it scans for media, it shows ALL my videos in bulk... not grouped by types. I used the gallery application and the Gallery app does a better job...but is there a free application that sorts out movies as as good as itunes for the iphone?btw, this is not a major issue and it is less than a minor inconvenience Im still very much happy with my phone

Aug 27, 2010After using both the EVO and SGS for weeks, I find the SGS inferior to the EVO in very few ways. The most major one that it being a 3G phone, the Internet speed is of course slower than the EVO's (I have 4G in my area, Los Angeles). I enjoy watch Youtube and SprintTV on the EVO as both the resolution and streaming experience very good, however after watch the low res Youtube on the SGS a few times, I can't make myself watch it under 3G anymore (wifi is better but still not as good as EVO on 4G). But since we can consistently get over 1 meg on 3G, why can't the SGS do better in Youtube video playback? Is there any program that can trick the phone in thinking it is on wifi and playback in higher resolution?

Dec 1, 2010Maybe someone can help me. I am living in Europe and travelling quite often. So far when I was going abroed I have talked to my girlfriend using my notebook (wifi connection and using skype video call). Using the video call I was able to see her, talk to her and the other way around. Now as I bought my first smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S) I would like to do the same thing without taking my notebook to my travels.
Is there any software which will allow me to have a video call from the phone to PC? I am asking about software which work on Android 2.1 and support front face camera on the phone, so I am able to see her (and she can see mee) while talking to her!
I do not have Froyo as in my country there isn't original update yet. And I would rather wait for the official update.

There are players with subtitles support but I am afraid that to play HD content 1Ghz processor is not enough and that Galaxy's internal player is also taking advance of GPU which others players do not.

Aug 12, 2010Just got the phone and loving it so far but im having major issue's with You Tube, Most video's take about 5 mins to load in low quality and in high quality it can take upto 30 mins or more which of course by that time the phone locks and the video has to restart again.
Any suggestions as to why it takes so long? Also is there a setting for video's to automatically start in high quality? And for the phone not to lock?

Nov 14, 2013I'm using the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 on 4.2.2 with Nova Launcher and just recently after disabling apps, etc. my Video player app no longer opens. I press it and it freezes for 15 seconds and says unfortunately it has stopped working. On top of that every time I delete a contact, it deletes the contact but gives me a message like "android.process.acore" had stopped working and exits the contacts app.
I've tried enabling any potential function that I may have disabled to have that issue and no luck. I also cleared cache and data of the contacts list and contacts storage but no luck. I honestly do not want to format data as I have already done it 3 times prior to this issue and it is tedious. EDIT: Fixed video player by enabling picasa uploader and cloud Agent. Still no luck with the error message after deleting contact.
